유도탄 고체 추진기관의 세계적 연구동향

  • 선진국의 유도탄 고체 추진기관의 연구 개발 동향 파악은 우리의 유도탄 추진기관 연구개발의 좌표확인과 나아갈 방향을 설정하는데 대단히 중요합니다. 이 글에서는 유도탄에 사용되는 고체 추진기관에 대한 세계적 연구 동향을 분석하였습니다 연구 동향은 추진시스템과 추진기관 부시스템 및 부품 2가지 부분으로 나누어 살펴보았습니다. 추진시스템은 기존의 로켓과는 다른 닥티드로켓/램젯, 펄스 모타등의 새로운 추진시스템의 연구동향을 분석하였으며, 기존 고체 로켓 모타부품의 연구개발 및 동향을 기술하였습니다

  • There exist a lot of factors and restrictions for the design of solid rocket motors like burning rate, of solid propellant, demanded thrust, chamber pressure, diameter, length, weight and acceleration. For the optimization of these factors and restrictions, integrated design software for internal/external ballistic analysis was developed and verified by the performance test of solid rocket motors.

  • In general solid propulsion offers cost effective, large thrust capabilities comparing to the liquid propulsion which offers high specific impulse and restart capabilities. Therefore solid propulsion is well fitted for the first stage and boosters. BBL approach has been studied for the launch vehicle because of cost effectiveness, limited development time and low risk. Using of the carbon fiber epoxy resin in the solid rocket motor case is expanded, and specially high strength fibers are more attracted since its inert mass reduction.

  • In this study, internal ballistic analysis theories of dual-thrust solid rocket motor using two kinds of propellant are found, and the theories are applied to develop internal ballistic analysis model. Internal ballistic analysis which is dual-thrust solid rocket motor using two kinds of propellant is carried out an applying of the random figures of two kinds of propellant and an analyze of the test results. Through this analytical model was able to an applying internal ballistic analysis for dual-thrust solid rocket motor using two kinds of propellant.

  • Solid rocket propulsion systems are generally used for tactical missiles due to the structural and operational simplicity. Nevertheless, various kinds of design factors including outer diameter, length, weight, loading efficiency of propellant grain effects to thrust performance. Dual thrust is beneficial to range extension and terminal velocity increasement. But loading efficiency becomes low in case to obtain dual thrust performance by burning surface control. So, It is predicted to be reasonable to obtain dual thrust performance with high/low burning rate propellants. This study is on internal ballistic analysis and ground test to confirm dual thrust performance.

  • Solid rocket motor that includes AL powder in propellant gets slag during static firing test. Slag is piled up to weak area in motor case and causes dangerous phenomena like explosion of motor. In this paper, It is shown that boots gap liner casting process was developed and static firing test was performed with better results.

Solid Rocket Motor performed Static Firing Test and High Altitude Test for motor performance. A study made an analysis of specific impulse variation for nozzle ambient pressure.

  • 우리 나라에서 고체추진기관에 대하여 관심을 갖고 연구를 시작한 것은 1970년대 중반 국방과학연구소를 중심으로 이루어 졌으며, 그후 추진기관의 설계와 제조분야에서 괄목할만한 기술축적을 이루어 왔다. 고체추진제 그레인의 성형기술도 이에 발맞추어 상당한 기술발전이 있었다. 앞으로 우리 나라도 우주산업 진출이 가시화 되고 있으며 이에 따른 우주발사체 추진제 성형기술도 선진국 수준의 기술 개발이 요구되는 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 추진기관 제조 기술중 중요한 기술인 고체 추진제 그레인 성형용 코아 설계를 중심으로한 그 동안의 개발내용과 향후 발전 방향에 대하여 기술하였다.

  • Different kinds of solid rocket motors manufactured for various aim have their own shelf life. So they must be done away if not used. In general, ammonium perchlorate(AP) has used in the process of solid rocket motors, which is environmental pollutant. Out-burning and out-detonation were usual in the past, but they polluted the surrounding environment and raised safety issues. As an alternative to resolve these, water-washout process to separate the propellant from rocket motors and an eco-friendly way for recovering AP are studied in this paper.

  • A Possibility of combustion instability on longitudinal mode has a high level at large scale of L/D. Solid propellant has a metal particle and a grain of control to pressure oscillation. Solid rocket motor in slotted-tube grain controls pressure oscillation of longitudinal mode. If slot length is shot, pressure oscillation of longitudinal mode is amplified by cylinder part after middle phase of total burn time. A study has analyzed pressure oscillation of longitudinal mode at spectrum and acoustic modal analysis at pressure of result on static firing test.
