The purpose of this study was to determine how to visualize classic makeup through Korean visual language in old literature. It provides consumers with creativity to understand and communicate and proposes a new conceptual visualization model. The research method was carried out by drawing from old literature studies, previous reproduction records, examples, and international standard diagram text language expression. First, the visualization work expressed in visual language in old literature was an objective and efficient method of information delivery as a characteristic of information design. Second, visual language expressed in old documents could be divided into makeup materials and actions. Also, the diagrams were appropriate for visualizing materials and materials for storytelling. Third, in the visualization of Korean classic makeup in old literature, images were more appropriate than diagrams in the case of action. The researcher proposed a method of visualizing historical knowledge that went one step beyond the existing simple event timing method. Timeline, correlation diagram, image, and text were combined in various ways to find the most effective historical knowledge visualization method. The representation of Korean classic makeup goes beyond the meaning of language or text and is the cultural content of re-creation, which requires systematic globalization.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the visual elements for effectively conveying the make-up method of the Korean history. We will do basic research on language visualization through visual poetry by using a make-up method as a visual expression element. Our research methods consisted of a related literature research, an internet search, and case study methods. The make-up methods of Korean classical make-up through visual poetry consisted of a through literature review. First, make-up methods, cosmetics, jewelry, and hair styles are shown in the classic make-up style of each age. Second, classical make-up visual poetry shows the identity, gender, and character depictions. Third, there were many visual metaphors about the hair types, figures, and hair among the classical make-up methods of each age. I think that this topic is worth researching as an appropriate medium to increase attractiveness. This research is with visual expression elements of the Korea make-up method. This study analyzed the Korean traditional make-up method that expresses and reinterprets visual metaphors. The results of this study can be applied for basic research.

자외선 램프를 이용한 살균기는 고전압 방전과 달리 오존의 발생을 최소화 하면서 짧은 시간에 원하는 물체를 살균할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 인체의 피부에 직접 접촉하는 티슈들의 포장 상태에서 세균의 밀도를 조사하고 그 결과 살균이 필요한 수준이라는 것을 파악한 다음, 공중 화장실용 공동 티슈 공급기에 적합한 살균기를 설계, 제작하고 그 효과를 세균 배양 실험을 통하여 확인하였다.

쑥은 인간의 역사와 함께 하며 많은 품종으로 분화되었고 인간의 식재료도 민간전래약품으로도 이용되어 많은 고전 문헌 속에 쑥의 효능에 대한 기록이 있다. 이러한 쑥의 어떤 성분이 약리적 효능이 있는가 또 어떤 영양성분이 식재료로서 가치가 있는가에 대한 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 오랜동안 쑥은 구황식물로서의 기능이 많았으나 최근에는 그 특성과 향을 이용한 식품개발에도 관심을 갖고 연구하고 있다. 쑥의 일반성분은 녹황색 채소류와 비슷하나 칼슘과 칼륨의 함량이 높고 비타민 A의 함량이 특히 높아 영양보급 효과도 얻을 수 있다. 쑥을 물이나 유기용매에 의하여 추출한 성분은 생리활성을 갖는 경우가 많으며 보편적으로 많이 검출되는 것은 cineol, thujone, borneol, camphor, caryo-phyllene, coumarin, cubebene, pinene, linallol, an-sinthin등이다. 약리적 효과는 고전문헌에 많은 기록이 있으나 대체로 따뜻한 성질을 갖고 있기 때문에 혈행을 왕성하게 하고 간 기능을 도와주며 피부질환에 효과가 있음을 주로 기록하고 있다. 쑥은 잎을 사용하는 경우가 많으나 전초, 꽃, 뿌리, 정유를 이용할 때도 있으며 생쑥 혹은 건조 상태로 이용한다. 민속 약품으로서의 기능도 커서 내복용과 외용으로 쓸 수 있으며 거의 모든 질환에 효과가 있다고 하여 전에는 가정 상비약으로 쓰이기도 했다. 고전문헌이나 전통약품에서 효능이 있다고 알려진 쑥성분에 대한 최근의 연구에서도 고지혈증, 고혈압등 순환기계 질환의 치료 및 예방효과, 간기능 보호, 항돌연변이성 기능, 항염증 및 진통효과, 당뇨병 및 고혈당증의 치료, 생체내 지질의 산화 억제, 항세균 및 항진균효과가 연구보고되어 있으며 유럽에서는 항구충 및 살충효과도 잘 알려져 있다. 유럽에서 행한 쑥의 독성 및 부작용에 대한 연구에서 쑥은 습관성, 향정신적 작용, 피부 염증을 일으킬 수 있다고 하여 장기복용 및 다량 사용을 억제하고 있다. 앞으로의 연구는 식품공업에 다양한 형태로 이용할 수 있는 방법의 개발, 전래된 약효에 대한 과학적인 검증, 타성분과 혼합이용시 생체내 미치는 영향, 여성용품이나 화장수와 같은 생황용품에의 이용방안 등의 연구가 계속되어야 한다. 쑥은 전국에 널리 분포되어 있고 쉽게 채취할 수 있기 때문에 쑥의 이용도를 높이는 것은 자원효율성을 높이고 비용을 절감할 수 있는 좋은 방법이기도 하다.

각 나라별로 선호하는 이미지와 효과적으로 전달하는 방법은 다르다. 본 연구에서는 한국의 전통화장 방법과 선호하는 이미지를 효과적으로 전달하기 위한 방법을 찾고자 한다. 조선시대의 고문서 중에서 백과사전 성격의 '규합총서(閨閤叢書)'는 10가지 시조를 통해 그 시대의 선호하는 눈썹을 시조형태로 표현한 '십미요(10 eyebrow poetry)'가 있다. 본 연구에서는 십미요를 적용하고 실제 모델에 제작해 문제 해결을 하고 문헌, 인터넷, 사례의 방법으로 구성되었다. 제작된 모형 자극물은 메이크업 전문가 10인과 70명 남, 녀 블라인드 길거리 실험을 진행하여 호감 및 선호도를 측정 하였다. 결과는 "Gaewon-eoaemi" 유형이 가장 좋아 보이며 이쁘고 매력적이며, 생각하는 눈썹 모양과 현재 유행하는 눈썹 모양과 가장 일치하는 유형이라고 인식 하였다. 고전에 표현되어 있는 다양한 비언어적인 방법으로 본 연구에서는 시각시를 활용하여 효과적으로 전달하기 위한 방법을 알아보았다. 본 연구는 시대별 문화의 흐름에 이해를 돕는 분야를 독료하고 디자인발상 전환에 기여하게 될 것이다.
