한국기업(韓國企業)의 단기적(短期的) 고용(雇傭) 및 근로시간결정(勤勞時間決定)에 관한 계량분석(計量分析)

  • 본(本) 연구(硏究)는 우리나라 기업(企業)에 있어 생산량(生産量)의 변화(變化)와 노동비용구조(勞動費用構造)의 변화(變化)가 어떤 조정과정(調整過程)을 거쳐 고용(雇傭) 및 근로시간(勤勞時間)에 영향을 미치는가를 분석(分析)하는 데 그 목적(目的)이 있다. 기업(企業)이 생산요소(生産要素)로서의 노동(勞動)에 대한 수요(需要)를 조정(調整)하는 수단은 크게 고용(雇傭)과 노동시간(勞動時間)으로 나눌 수 있다. 여러 가지 경제(經濟) 사회적(社會的) 요인(要因)으로서의 개별기업(個別企業)의 비용극소화(費用極小化) 전략(戰略)은 사회적(社會的)으로 최적의 고용수준(雇傭水準)을 실현하지 못하고 낮은 고용수준(雇傭水準)과 장시간근로(長時間勤勞)를 초래한다. 노동수요요소(勞動需要要素)(고용(雇傭) 및 근로시간(勤勞時間))간(間)에 대체(代替)가 이루어지는 요인관계(要因關係)를 본고(本稿)에서는 현고용수준(現雇傭水準)과 최적고용수준(最適雇傭水準)과의 과부족이 근로시간(勤勞時間)의 조정을 유발하는 것으로 설정하여 고용수준(雇傭水準)과 근로시간(勤勞時間)에 대한 두 개의 방정식(方程式)을 시계열자료(時系列資料)를 이용하여 추정하였다. 분석결과(分析結果)를 토대로 다음과 같은 정책과제(政策課題)가 제시(提示)된다. 첫째, 기업(企業)이 단기적(短期的) 노동수요조정시(勞動需要調整時) 근로시간(勤勞時間)에 과다하게 의존하는 현상을 일시해고제(一時解雇制)를 도입하여 고용조정(雇傭調整)으로도 분산시켜야 할 것이다. 둘째, 기업(企業)의 노동비용중(勞動費用中) 기본급(基本給)의 비중(比重)을 높여 나갈 수 있도록 유도해야 하며 이를 위해 초과근로(超過勤勞)에 대한 할증임금의 인상도 검토할 만하다.

Estimating the Impact of Automation and Globalization on Manufacturing Employment using Regional Labor Market Analysis (지역별 제조업 고용변화에 대한 자동화와 세계화의 영향)

  • This article links the change in regional manufacturing employment in Korea after the financial crisis to the geography of technological and trade shocks. We conceptualize the trade shock as the rapid growth in Korean imports from and exports to China and ASEAN countries. We then measure the exposure to technological shocks as the degree to which regions are specialized in routine tasks, which are susceptible to automation technologies. Results show that local labor markets specialized in routine tasks experience significant falls in manufacturing employment. Regions whose industrial structure exposes them to rising import competition experience sharp drop in manufacturing employment. We also found that export plays a major role in explaining the growth of regional manufacturing employment.

Examination of the Effect of Job Rotation on Subjective Career Satisfaction : The Mediating Effect of Employability (직무순환이 주관적 경력만족에 미치는 영향: 고용경쟁력 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • In order to maximize customer's satisfaction, high-value service needs to be created by reducing service delivery errors and miscommunications. Employee's job rotation experience will help them to reduce errors and develop their career. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of job rotation on employability and subjective career satisfaction. The results clarifies the hotel's job rotation system and examine the relationship among job rotation, employability and subjective career satisfaction. Taking samples from full-time workers in hotel, total 370 participants were used in the analysis. The SEM approach was used to analysis the data with AMOS 20.0. The results show that job rotation has a positive influence on employability and subjective career satisfaction. Moreover, employability has a partial mediation effect between job rotation and subjective career satisfaction. Therefore, the study contributes to generate theoretical and practical implications in hospitality industry.

The Effects of Industrial Specialization on the Volatility of Regional Economies in Korea: the Case of Manufacturing (산업특화가 지역경제의 변동성에 미치는 효과에 관한 연구: 제조업을 대상으로)

  • This paper tests whether or not manufacturing specialization, employment growth, establishment size, employment size, industrial mix in manufacturing, regional difference between the Capital region and the others and so on are empirically related to manufacturing employment volatility levels across 203 municipalities called shi-gun-gu during the period 1990~2006. Using the spatial econometric analysis of cross sectional data, the municipalities tending to be more volatile are more specialized; they have higher-than-average employment growth rates, smaller establishment and employment sizes, regardless of any industrial mix in manufacturing; and they tend to be located in the Capital region. Unlike existing foreign literature based upon the spatial econometric analysis of cross sectional data, this paper finds that volatility of growth in a municipality is negatively rather than positively influenced by volatility of growth in its neighboring municipalities.

The effect of job stability on senior citizen's quality of life : mediated effect of job satisfaction (고용안정성과 삶의 질 간의 관계에서 고용 관련 만족도의 매개효과 검증 : 고령 근로자를 중심으로)

  • In this article, we investigated the overall relationship between the employment stability of senior wage earners and their quality of life. Moreover, we analyzed a mediated effect of satisfaction variables: income satisfaction, work environment satisfaction, and overall job satisfaction. For the research, we used the data from the Korean Longitudinal Study of Aging (KLoSA) and analyzed the data set of 1,318 senior wage earners. The result showed that there exists a positive relationship between job stability and job satisfaction, while the overall quality of life has a negative relation with both the job stability and job satisfaction. This study showed a contradictory result from previous studies that claim that the quality of employment such as job stability and job satisfaction has a positive relationship with the quality of life, and the result implies that the research on senior wage earners requires perspectives different from those on other age groups and social classes.

Regional Change and Location of Industrial Complex: A Case of Yeochon National Industrial Complex of Korea (공업단지의 입지와 지역변화에 관한 연구: 여천산단을 사례로)

  • The purpose of this study is concerned with the relationship between the location of industrial complex and regional changes. Yeochon National Industrial Complex(YNIC) was dedicated as an industrial site in 1967 according to a part of the Korean government's plan of developing for heavey chemical industry. Yeochun city has been changed with location and establishment of YNIC since 1969. The establishment of YNIC have influence upon the increase of population and employment, urban development, and growth of regional economy within research areas including of Yeochun city, Yeochun county, and Yeosu city. In addition, with the establishment of YNIC, the regional economical structure was progressed from farm and fishery oriented sector to manufacturing oriented sector, thus the petrochemical business related companies hold a majority among regional manufacturing structure. We used the shift-share analysis and regional growth rate differential analysis in order to examine the characteristics revealed in the transformation of employment and industrial structure. The petrochemical related manufacturing and construction industries provided a great influence on the growth of regional employment.

Parallel Data Extraction Architecture for High-speed Playback of High-density Optical Disc (고용량 광 디스크의 고속 재생을 위한 병렬 데이터 추출구조)

  • When an optical disc is being played. the pick-up converts light to analog signal at first. The analog signal is equalized for removing the inter-symbol interference and then the equalized analog signal is converted into the digital signal for extracting the synchronized data and clock signals. There are a lot of algorithms that minimize the BER in extracting the synchronized data and clock when high. density optical disc like BD is being played in low speed. But if the high-density optical disc is played in high speed, it is difficult to adopt the same extraction algorithm to data PLL and PRML architecture used in low speed application. It is because the signal with more than 800MHz should be processed in those architectures. Generally, in the 0.13-${\mu}m$ CMOS technology, it is necessary to have the high speed analog cores and lots of efforts to layout. In this paper, the parallel data PLL and PRML architecture, which enable to process in BD 8x speed of the maximum speed of the high-density optical disc as the extracting data and clock circuit, is proposed. Test results show that the proposed architecture is well operated without processing error at BD 8x speed.

A Fundamental Study of Structure-Property Relationships in $Eu^{3+}$ Luminescence ($Eu^{3+}$ 이온의 발광성에 대한 구조와 성질의 기본적인 연구)

  • The M/sub 1-x/Na/sub 2x/Al₂(BO₃)₂O (M = Ca and Sr) solid solution systems have been shown interstitial solid solutions and continuous substitutional solid solutions. The symmetry around the Eu site of yEu/sup 3+/ : M/sub 1-x/Na/sub 2x/Al/sub 2-y/Mg/sub /(BO₃)₂O (M = Ca and Sr) changes the intensities and the chromaticities of transitions. The Eu/sup 3+/ion can be very bright and efficient and have the desired emission wave-length depending on the site symmetry of the Eu/sup 3+/ion site. As the amount of Na in the Eu/sup 3+/ion doped Ca/sub 1-x/Na/sub 2x/Al₂(BO₃)₂O system increases, the Eu site symmetry is going to be a noncentrosymmetric site. With increasing x, the decreased intensity in the /sup 5/D/sub 0/→/sup 7/F₁(590 nm) transition relates to the low symmetry of the Eus/up 3+/-doped Ca/sub 1-x/Na/sub 2x/Al₂(BO₃)₂O system, because of the Ca-centered octahedron in the CaAl₂(BO₃)₂O compound. The SrAl₂(BO₃)₂O compound also provides an improved chromaticity due to the lower site symmetry of Eu/sup 3+/ion.
