AC Losses of the HTS Double Pancake Winding (고온초전도 더블 팬케이크 권선에서 발생하는 교류손실 측정)

  • AC loss which is generated in an HTS wire varies with the direction of the magnetic field. This paper calculated and measured the AC loss in the HTS double pancake windings. Brandt equation is used to calculate the loss by perpendicular magnetic field. Calorimetric method is used to measure the AC loss. Results of calculated AC loss are compared with measured AC loss.

  • Rise of the current level at power applications, such as, transformer, motor and power cable, need for using stacked HTS tapes. In this paper, we measured losses of the stacked HTS tapes. Three different types of the stacks which were made of 2 tapes, 3 tapes and 4 tapes, were tested Perpendicular magnetic field was applied to the HTS stacks as the external magnetic field. Effects of the gap between HTS tapes were examined.

  • A winding machine to fabricate the double pancake coils was manufactured. A race-track type double pancake coil using high temperature superconductor (HTS) tape was prepared and I-V and I-H characteristic curves were obtained at the atmosphere of liquid nitrogen. The winding method to make the double pancake coil and its properties is discussed.

  • High current density Bi-2223 tapes have recently become commercially available. The ac loss is an important issue in the design of high-T$_{c}$ superconducting power cables. In such complicated devices, special caution is required in the placing of voltage leads for measuring the in-phase voltage. In this paper, the ac losses for different contacts and arrangements of voltage leads have been experimentally investigated in a single layer model cable and discussed.d.

  • This research is conducted with the object of Piling up the foundation of design technologies for high temperature superconducting (HTS) power transformer which is thought to be as a powerful power transformer of next generation. In this study, not only the theoretical design of high temperature superconducting (HTS) transformer but also the arrangements of superconducting tape and the cooling method have been conducted. Moreover, electromagnetic analyses using finite element method (FEM) were conducted to confirm the efficiency of the designed transformer.

  • Termination cryostat for 22.9kV, 1.26kA-class HTS power cable has been designed. The cryostat consists of vacuum vessel, liquid nitrogen vessel, current lead and HTS power cable. The current lead and the HTS power cable are connected in liquid nitrogen vessel cooled by forced-circulation subcooled liquid nitrogen. The maximum total heat load of this cryostat is expected to be 150w. In this paper, the detailed design of the termination cryostat is mentioned.

  • In this paper, we analyzed the operational characteristics of the modified DC reactor type SFCL and derived the design condition of superconducting coil to be operated properly as power source as well as fault current limiter. It was confirmed through the simulation for the operation of this SFCL that the modified DC reactor type SFCL could be operated as both the uninterruptible power supply and the fault current limiter by controlling the duty ratio of GTO thyristor bridge.

고온초전도 BSCCO 2223상 형성시 나타나는 여러 가지 이차상들이 선재의 임계전류에 미치는 영향(토요일)

  • 고온초전도 BSCCO 2223 ((Bi, Pb)₂Sr₂Ca₂Cu₃O/sub x/) 선재의 특성을 향상시키기 위해서는 반복적인 인발 및 압연과정을 통한 texturing향상, BSCCO 2223입자의 배향성 증대, 피복재내 초전도체의 충진율(밀도)향상, 이차상의 부피분율 감소등이 이루어져야 한다. 최적 열처리 조건을 통하여 열처리 시에 형성되는 이차상인 (Bi,Pb)₂Sr₂CuO/sub y/ (2201, amorphous phase)를 조절하면서, (Ca,Sr)₂CuO₃ (2/1 AEC), (Ca,Sr)/sub 14/Cu/sub 24/O/sub 41/ (14/24 AEC)와 같은 이차상들의 부피분율 및 크기를 감소시켜야만 한다. 본 실험에서는 BSCCO 2223 선재의 특성을 향상시킬수 있는 최적의 열처리 조건 확립 및 기계적 공정시 나타나는 여러 가지 문제점을 개선하여 높은 임계전류를 가지는 선재의 특성을 분석하고자 하였다. 최종적으로 제조된 선재는 2223상 결정이 피복재(Ag)와 평행하게 길게 성장하며, AEC상의 크기와 부피분율이 감소할수록 더 높은 임계전류특성을 나타내었다(I/sub c/~70A, J/sub c/~42,000 A/㎠). 또한 이 선재에서 나타나는 여러 가지 이차상들을 분석하기 위하여 XRD, SEM, EDS 분석을 행하였다.

  • 본 논문은 고온초전도한류기가 투입된 회로에 사고가 발생했을 경우 사고각에 따른 사고전류의 패턴에 관한 연구이다. 계통에 심각한 영향을 끼치는 이러한 사고전류의 순간 특성을 해석하기 위해 유도형 고온초전도한류기를 직접 제작하였으며 임의로 다른 각도에서 사고를 발생시켜 실험하였다. 임의의 사고각을 위해 triac으로 구성되어있는 위상각제어 및 사고 발생기를 부하와 직렬로 연결하였다. 또한, 순간적으로 큰 사고전류의 유입은 철심을 포화시키기에 충분하며 철심의 포화로 인해 상대투자율이 작아짐으로서 고온초전도한류기의 임피던스가 작게 발생하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 영향으로 인한 사고전류의 패턴에 관하여 연구하였다.
