An Experimental Study for Supposed Heating Temperature of Deteriorated Concrete Structure by fire Accident (화재피해를 입은 콘크리트구조물의 수열온도 추정을 위한 실험적 연구)

  • A fire outbreak in a reinforcement concrete structure looses the organism by the different contraction and expansion of hardened cement pastes and aggregate, and causes cracks by thermal stress, leading to the deterioration of the durability. So concrete reinforcement structure is damaged partial or whole structure system. Therefore diagnosis of deterioration is needed based on mechanism of fire deterioration in general concrete structures. Fundamental information and data on the properties of concrete exposed to high temperature are necessary for accurate diagnosis of deterioration. In this study, it was presented data for the accurate diagnosis and selection of repair and reinforcement system for the deteriorated concrete heated highly, various concrete such as standard design compressive strength, fine aggregate and admixture were exposed to a high temperature environment. And fundamental data were measured engineering properties such as explosive spatting, ultrasonic pulse velocity and compressive strength.

  • A very compact narrowband high-temperature superconducting microstrip filter using multiple coupled line resonators is designed and fabricated to effectively use the limited space of the wafer. The fabricated 12 pole filter has a center frequency of 1.79 GHz and a 3dB bandwidth of 7.63 MHz(0.43% fractional bandwidth). The filter also shows sharp skirt characteristics of 71 dB/MHz and 41dB/MHz blow and above the passband, respectively, and has an insertion loss of less than 0.5dB and a return loss of more than 15dB in the passband.

  • In recent days, while taller and more massive structures such as huge bridges and super skyscrapers have been welcomed, the structural stabilization in design and construction have been gradually limited due to the major weakness of current concrete which is relatively heavier when compared with its strength. To improve the weakness of the current concrete, The lightweight concrete with light weight and high strength should be used; however, not many researchers in Korea have studied on the lightweight concrete. Generally, artificial lightweight aggregate produced through high-temperature-plasticization has a possibility of its body-expansion with many bubbles. Therefore, depending on the size of aggregate, the effects of bubbles on the specific weight and strength of the lightweight concrete should be studied. In this study, considering grain-size, the mix design of the artificial lightweight aggregate produced through the high-temperature-plasticization and the body-expansion of waste and clay from the fire power plant in Korea was conducted. The experiment to analyze the variation in specific weight and strength of the lightweight concrete was followed. From these experiments, the optimized grain-size ratio of the artificial lightweight aggregate for the enhancement of high-strength from the lightweight concrete was revealed.

  • For Very High Temperature Reactors (VHTR), the designs of the Intermediate Heat Transport Loop (IHTL) and the Intermediate Heat Exchanger (IHX) are particularly difficult because of the high-temperature operation (up to $950^{\circ}C$). In this study, Flinak molten salt, a eutectic mixture of LiF, NaF, and KF (46.5:11.5:42.0 mole %) is considered as the heat transporting fluid in the IHTL. To evaluate the flow and heat transfer performance of the Flinak molten salt in small channels with hydraulic diameters in the millimeter range, a double-pipe heat exchanger was constructed using small-diameter tubes for the heat exchange between the Flinak and the gas flow. The experimental data showed that, for laminar Flinak flow, the measured friction factors were close to the 64/Re curve and the Nusselt numbers were generally between 3.66 and 4.36.

  • The electro-optical payload of a low-earth orbit satellite is thermally decoupled with the bus, which supports a payload for a mission operation. The payload has a cooling unit of FPA(Focal Plane Assembly) which has a thermal behavior increasing its temperature instantly during an operation in order to dissipate a waste heat into the space. The FPA cooling unit should include a radiator and heatpipes with a sufficient performance in worst hot condition, and a heater design to maintain its temperature above a minimum allowable temperature in the worst cold condition. In this paper, we analyzed the thermal requirements and the heater design constraints from the thermal analysis results for the current thermal design of the FPA cooling unit and the design elements of the better heater design were found.

  • This report is concerned with the optimum design of hyper-aprupt p-n junctiea silion diode and fabriction of this diode usable for electrical tuning application. Impurity profile in the junction was assumed to clean exponential function. With this assunntion, an optimum criterion for designing standard AM radio tuning capacitor was derived. In the diffusion process, after aluminum and antimony as impurties were deposited in vacuum on a P-type silicon wafer, the diffusion was followed by loading the wafer into the high temperature furnace.

  • Recently, ultra high strength products can be manufactured by the hot press forming process of Boron steel in automotive and electronics industries. In order to get high strength, the hot press forming should be accompanied by quenching process inducing phase transformation. In the study, the heat conductive die and the cooling channel were designed by the numerical simulation and the effect of three different parameters were determined to improve cooling characteristics.

냉각재상실사고시 질량 및 에너지 방출량 감소를 위한 고찰

  • 1000MWt 급 가압경수로의 질량 및 에너지 방출량을 감소시키기 위한 방안으로 울진 3,4호기를 기준으로 안전주입계통의 형태 및 용량을 변화시키면서 원자로냉각재펌프 토출관 및 고온관 파단에 대한 질량 및 에너지 방출량 계산과 격납건물 첨두압력 및 온도의 민감도를 분석하여, 후속호기 설계에 활용하고자 한다. 분석한 여러 경우 중에서, 토출관 파단사고시 안전주입탱크 용량은 변화시키지 않고 고압안전주입펌프 용량을 l75%로 증가시키면서 저압안전주입펌프를 제거하였을 경우가 격납건물 첨두압력 및 온도가 61.98 psia (3.32 kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$A), 288.03 ℉ (142.24$^{\circ}C$)로써 가장 낮게 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 격납건물의 설계여유도를 기존보다 더 확보하므로 안전성이 향상 될 뿐만 아니라. 저압안전주입펌프를 안전주입계통에서 제외함으로써 발전소 운전에도 큰 도움이 될 것이다.

Natural Ventilation Performance in Greenhouses (온실의 자연환기 성능)

  • 온실에서 환기는 온실내외의 공기를 교환하여 온실내부의 환경을 조절하는 수단으로 활용되고 있으나 조절 목표는 한계가 있기 때문에 보조수단의 역할을 한다. 주년재배용 대규모 온실 설계시 해결해야 할 문제중의 하나가 여름철의 고온장해이며 이는 온실의 자연환기 성능과 밀접한 관계를 가지고 있다. 본 강좌에서는 온실의 자연환기에 관한 기본적인 내용을 요약하여 정리하고, 온실구조가 자연환기 성능에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위하여 수치해석으로 온실의 필요환기량, 측창과 천창의 면적비와 온실 폭이 자연환기 성능에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 온실의 자연환기 성능을 향상시키기 위해서는 주어진 조건하에서 가능한 한 측창과 천창의 면적을 동일하게 설계해야 하고 주년재배용 대규모 온실에서는 폭이 대략 50m이상이 되면 자연환기성능을 기대하기 어렵기 때문에 유의해야 할 것으로 판단된다.

  • 볼텍스 튜브는 고압의 가스를 이용하여 고온 가스와 저온 가스를 분리하거나 입자상 물질의 분리에 사용 할 수 있는 장치이다. 본 연구에서는 직경 10mm의 볼텍스 튜브의 기본 설계 자료를 구축하기 위하여 에너지 분리 성능 실험을 수행하였다. 설계를 위한 기초 자료를 확보하기 위하여, 공급압력, 볼텍스 발생기의 오리피스 직경 및 튜브의 길이가 에너지 분리 특성에 미치는 영향력을 실험을 통하여 분석하였다. 결과적으로 오리피스 직경과 공급압력이 볼텍스 튜브의 성능의 지배적인 성능인자임을 확인하였다. 튜브길이가 성능에 미치는 영향은 미미하였다.
