UV-cut Finish of Cotton Using Polycarboxylic acid and Vitamin C (폴리카르복시산과 Vitamin C를 이용한 면섬유의 자외선 차단 가공)

  • 산업화 과정에 방출된 할로겐 화합물 및 프레온 가스가 오존층을 파괴하면서 많은 양의 자외선이 지표에 도달하여 생태계에 적지 않은 영향을 끼치고 있다. 자외선은 살균, 소독작용 및 Vitamin D 합성을 위해 생명체에 필수적이지만 과다할 경우 색소침착, 피부노화, 피부암 발생, 백내장의 증가, 면역기능저하 등의 피해를 준다. 자외선은 파장 영역에 따라 UV-A(장파장 자외선), UV-B(중파장 자외선)및 UV-C(단파장 자외선)으로 나뉜다. 이 중 인체에 가장 유해한 것으로 알려진 단파장의 UV-C는 파장이 짧아 침투력이 미약해 오존층과 성층권에서 대부분 흡수되므로 생물학적으로 큰 의미는 없다. 그러나 자외선 중 UV-B와 UV-A 영역의 자외선은 인체에 영향을 가장 많이 미치므로 이들 영역의 자외선을 차단하는 것이 필요하다. Vitamin C는 아스코르브산(ascorbic acid)이라고도 불리며 미백효과, 주름 개선, 자외선 차단 및 항산화 작용을 하지만 섬유가공 시 Vitamin C는 쉽게 산화되며 세탁 내구성이 떨어지기 때문에 가교제를 필요로 한다. Vitamin C를 이용하여 자외선 차단성 섬유제품을 개발하기 위해, 포름알데히드를 유리하지 않는 폴리카르복시산 가교제 중 하나인 Citric Acid(CA)를 사용하여 고온에서 면직물에 처리했을 때 에스테르 형 가교를 형성하여 내세탁성을 가질 수 있었다. 자외선 차단 효과를 알아보기 위하여 KS K 0850 섬유제품의 자외선 차단율 및 차단지수 시험방법으로 평가하였다.

  • The effects of fabrication method and condition on critical current density of Ag sheathed Bi- 2223 superconducting tapes by powder-in-tube method were studied. The highest critical current density (Jc) in the whole process was measured in the repeative heat treatment of 250 hour and mechanical deformation of 2 times. These results are suggested that the high-Tc phase at the heat treatment of 250 hour was superior and the good grain alignment at the mechanical deformation of 2 times was analyzed by XRD pattern. The highest critical current density obtained by pressing method was $1.05\times 10^4A/\textrm{cm}^2$ and $0.78\times 10^4A/\textrm{cm}^2$ in case of rolling method. The multifilamentary wires with 7 and 49 filaments were fabricated to check the applicability of pressing and rolling method for preparing multifilaments wire. The critical current density of 7 filaments tapes prepared by pressing showed $0.45 \times 10^{4}A/\textrm{cm}^2$ and $0.20 \times 10^{4}A/\textrm{cm}^2$ for 49 filaments tapes prepared by rolling.

The High Temperature Deformation Behavior of the Wrought Superalloy 718 (단조용 초내열 718 합금의 고온 변형 거동)

  • In order to understand the high temperature deformation behavior of superalloy 718, a rotating grade 718 alloy has been compression tested to about 0.7 upset ratio at $927{\sim}1066^{\circ}C$ temperature range and $5{\times}10^{-4}{\sim}5{\times}10^0sec^{-1}$ strain rate. The maximum flow stress was increased with increasing strain rate, and similar behavior was observed with decreasing temperature. At low temperature and high strain rates other than $5{\times}10^{-1}sec^{-1}$, strain softening was occurred mainly by dynamic recovery and deformation twinning processes, while at high temperature and low strain rates strain softening was offseted by dynamic recrystallization. At $5{\times}10^{-1}sec^{-1}$, strain hardening was occurred due to work hardening of the dynamic recrystallized grains. Strain rate sensitivity, m, was varied with strain rates. In the case of lower strain rate tests, m was measured as 0.3 and it was observed that the deformation was mainly controlled by dynamic recrystallization. At higher strain rate, m was lowered to 0.1 and the deformation was controlled by the dynamic recovery and the deformation twinning processes.

  • 터빈에서 핵심부품인 로터는 블레이드를 원심 운동시키는 대형 단조강이며, 고압의 증기 조건에서 고속회전하며 고온에서 운전과 저온에서 과속시험 동안 높은 원심력을 받는다. 또한 기동/정지 천이 동안 열응력을 받기 때문에, 이러한 운전조건에 부합되는 소재로서는 높은 Creep 강도 및 피로강도를 가지는 CrMoV type의 강종이 사용되어져 왔다. 발전소의 대용량화 및 고온화에 따라 종래의 증기조건에서 사용되어져 왔던 1%CrMoV강은 내산화성 및 내부식성이 문제가 되어 더 이상 사용이 불가하며, 고온/고압하에서도 우수한 소재 특성을 가지는 12%Cr강의 사용이 필수적이다. 그러나 12%Cr강으로 제작되는 로타는 Cr 양이 높기 때문에 저널부에 Galling 또는 Scuffing 이라 불리는 부적절한 마모현상과 사용 중 소착이 발생하기 쉬운 단점이 있기 때문에, 저널부에 Cr 함유량 2~3% 이하의 저합금강을 오버레이 용접하여 육성하는 일체형 가공구조의 로타 저널부가 주목되어 왔다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 Large scale 로타가 용접 도중 급열 및 급냉이 되지 않으면서 균일한 온도로 일정 시간 유지할 수 있는 열관리 장치 개발, 최적 오버레이 용접조건 선정 및 용접부 건전성 시험 평가를 통하여 12%Cr 로타 저널부의 최적 오버레이 용접공정을 확립하고자 하였다. 용접 열관리 장치는 전기저항 가열방식을 적용하고 있으며 용접이 최종 완료되기 전까지 로타 제품 전체는 $93^{\circ}C$이상의 온도로 유지 되어져야 하며, 규정 용접후열처리 온도는 $650^{\circ}C{\pm}14^{\circ}C$ 이다. 또한 로타 오버레이 용접은 모재 Set up $\Rightarrow$ 용접예열 $\Rightarrow$ GTA용접 $\Rightarrow$ SA용접 $\Rightarrow$ 용접후열(Post heating) $\Rightarrow$ 용접후열처리(PWHT) $\Rightarrow$ 정삭가공 $\Rightarrow$ NDE(UT) 순으로 수행 되어진다 실제 로타의 1/3 Scale로 시험편을 제작하여, 오버레이 mockup 시험을 수행한 후 화학성분, 경도 분포, 인장강도, 충격인성 및 굽힘시험을 수행한 결과, 오버레이 용접에서 요구되어지는 용접 물성값을 만족하는 것으로 확인되었다. 또한 균열 등의 선형 결함이나 기공, 슬라그 혼입과 같은 결함은 관찰되지 않았으며, 용접 시 아크의 안정성과 슬라그의 박리성은 양호하였으며 비드의 외관도 미려하여 용접 작업성도 양호하였다.

Physicochemical quality characteristics of hot water extracts of processed ginseng based on different heat treatments (열처리 방법에 따른 가공 인삼 열수추출물의 이화학적 품질 특성)

  • The present study was carried out to investigate the physicochemical properties of hot water extracts of red ginseng powder prepared by two-stage hot air drying method using steamed ginseng and steaming liquid for 2.5 h under high-temperature and high-pressure autoclave condition. The total polyphenols, total flavonoids, total sugar, acid polysaccharides and crude saponin in hot water extracts from red ginseng powder were analyzed and determined, and the flavor components of ginseng were measured using color difference meter and an electronic tongue. The total polyphenol, total flavonoid, total polysaccharide, and acid polysaccharide of the red ginseng hot water extract obtained by autoclaving (ARG) were 9.06 mg GAE/g, 3.38 mg NE/g, 35.22 g/100 g, and 10.90 g/100 g, respectively. The final contents of the total polyphenols, total flavonoids, crude saponin were higher than those determined using other red ginseng methods; the time required for steamed red ginseng production reduced. The total ginsenoside content of ginseng including Rb1 was 10.69 mg/g, which is the lowest ARG. The processing conditions affected the conversion to ginsenosides unique to red ginseng. Red ginseng and steaming liquid obtained from the autoclave are expected to be in need for non-food materials and products as well as foods by improving the flavor components through conversion of red ginseng components into low molecular weight.

  • Abstract The sintering behavior of the mechanically alloyed AI-8wt%Fe power during vacuum hot pressing was investigated and high temperature deformation behavior of the sintered specimen was studied through compression tests at various strain rates in the temperature range between 35$0^{\circ}C$ and 45$0^{\circ}C$. In 'addition, thermal stablity of the sintered specimem was examined by hardness measurement after annealing the spcimem for 60 hours in the temperature range of 30$0^{\circ}C$ ~50$0^{\circ}C$. The compressive stress increased rapidly with strain and reached the maximum point at the strain about 3%. With slight decrement after reaching the maximum point, the flow stress became constant up to the strain of 30% and it was considered to be due to equilibrium between work hardening and dynamic recrystallization. The hardness of the 60 hrs annealed specimens began to decrease rapidly at 40$0^{\circ}C$ .

Measurement of High Temperature Anisotropic Elastic Constants of Zr-2.5Nb Pressure Tube Materials by Resonant Ultrasound Spectroscopy (초음파공명분광법에 의한 Zr-2.5Nb 압력관 재료의 고온 이방성 탄성계수 측정)

  • Anisotropic elastic constants of Zr-2.5Nb pressure tube materials were determined by a high temperature resonant ultrasound spectroscopy (RUS). The resonant frequencies were measured using alumina wave-guides and wide band ultrasonic transducers in a small furnace. The rectangular parallelepiped specimens were fabricated along with the axial, radial and circumferential direction of the pressure tube. A nine elastic stiffness tensor for orthotropic symmetry was determined in the range of room temperature ${\sim}500^{\circ}C$. As the temperature increases, the elastic constant tensor, cij gradually decreases. Higher elastic constants along the transverse direction compared to those along the axial or radial direction are similar to the case of Young's modulus or shear modulus. A crossing of shear elastic constants along axial direction and radial direction was observed near $150^{\circ}C$. This fact corresponds to the crossing of c44 and c66 of single crystal zirconium.

Quality of High Volume Blast Furnace Slag Mortar Depending on Desulfurization Gypsum Treating Methods and Fine Aggregate Type (탈황석고의 가공법 및 잔골재종류 변화에 따른 고로슬래그 미분말 다량 치환 모르타르의 품질 특성)

  • In this research, based on the condition of using desulfurization gypsum(FGD) as a stimulator for high-volume blast furnace slag cement mortar, sieving and heating process methods of removing activated carbon in FGD were compared with the non-processed FGD and recycled and natural fine aggregates were compared for suitable aggregate to be used. According to the result of experiment, sieving with 0.3mm was more efficient than $500^{\circ}C$ heating for processing the FGD, and recycled fine aggregate showed more favorable result than natural fine aggregate at the FGD content was 5 to 10%. On the other hand, the mortar mixture including recycled fine aggregate had a high drying shrinkage, and absorption ratio, and thus specific limitations on applying recycled fine aggregate should be required.

Bonding Properties and Resin Exudation Characteristics of Pitch Pine (리기다소나무재의 수지 삼출성과 접착 특성)

  • In order to use Pitch pine (Pinus rigida Miller) as the material of the structural glued laminated timber, the effect of the amount of resin exudation due to storage time after the planning and the knot of the lamina were evaluated on the bonding properties of the glued board with resorcinol resin. For Pitch pine that was dried at high temperature ($120{\sim}95^{\circ}C$) and low temperature ($65{\sim}50^{\circ}C$), the flat sawn(tangential section) showed higher amount of resin exudation than the quarter sawn(radial section). And the low temperature drying wood showed higher resin exudation than the high temperature drying wood. The low and high temperature drying wood showed the highest amount of resin exudation on the 3rd day and 7th day, respectively and they were gradually decreased. However, there were no significant differences from 15 to 90 days. Adhesion performances were low until 2~3 days with high exudation of resin, but there were no significant differences after 15 days. Both high temperature and low temperature drying woods satisfied the Korean standard regardless of the storage time. The adhesive strengths of the laminating parts including knots were higher than those of KS criteria, but the wood failures were not satisfied the KS standard. Adhesive performances according to the laminating combinations (quarter sawn + quarter sawn, flat sawn + flat sawn, quarter sawn + flat sawn) were better than those of KS criteria in all laminating combinations in both high temperature and low temperature drying woods.

A Study on the Processing of Sardine Protein Concentrate with Good Rehydration Capacity -1. Processing and Product Quality of Sardine Protein Concentrate- (복원력이 좋은 정어리 단백질 농축물의 가공 -1. 정어리 단백질 농축물의 가공 및 제품의 품질 특성-)

  • This study was carried out with sardine to develope a new type of fish protein concentrate. Chopped sardine meat was thermally treated in two different ways, autoclaved at $121^{\circ}C$ for 1 min and boiled at $95^{\circ}C$ for 5 min. The heat treated meat was pressed, controlled to PH 7.8 with $3\%$ (w/v) of $NaHCO_3$ and hot-air dried(at $40^{\circ}C$). The dried meat was powdered (50mesh), air and vacuum packed in laminated film bag(PET/AL. foil/CCP) and stored at room temperature for 60 days. The results of product quality analysis are as follows : 1. Proximate contents of moisture, crude lipid and protein of the autoclaved and boiled product were in the range of $10.0{\~}10.2\%,\;9.0{\~}9.1\%$ and $73.8{\~}74.4\%$, respectively. Yields of the both products were $40\%$ and $32.5\%$. 2. Values of emulsion activity, emulsion stability and foam expansion of the autoclaved product were $48.7\%$, $44.1\%\;and\;44.0\%$, respectively. These values were higher than those of boiled product. 3. Water holding capacity and digestibility of the both products were in the range of $5.0{\~}5.3\%$ and $78.0{\~}78.2\%$, respectively.
