An Experimental Study on the Quality Performance of Chemical Admixtures for High Strength Concrete - Focussed High Range Water Reducer - (고강도 콘크리트용 혼화제의 품질성능에 관한 실험적 연구 - 고성능 감수제를 중심으로-)

  • 본 연구는 고강도 콘크리트 실용화의 일환으로 국내에서 시판되고 있는 고성능 감수제의 품질성능을 평가하기 위한 것이다. 이러한 연구를 위하여 8종류의 고성능 감수제를 대상으로 첨가량에 따른 특성을 비교하였다. 또한 경시변화에 따른 특성을 비교, 분석하기 위하여 슬럼프, 공기량 그리고 압축강도비를 측정하였다. 이 때 고성능 감수제의 품질성능 평가 규준는 JASS 5T-402 규준에 따라 실시하였다. 실험결과 국내에서 시판되는 고성능 감수제는 공기량, 앞축강도비에 대해서는 모두 만족하였지만 슬럼프 경시 저하량은 DA를 제외한 모든 고성능 감수제가 규준치를 초과하였다. 따라서 현장에서 고강도콘크리트를 생산할 경우 배합방법이나 첨가방법을 개선하여 시공성을 확보하는 방안이 필요할 것이다.

  • The aim of the research is to provide a fundamental data of low viscosity typed superplasticizer (SP) on cement-based materials incorporating various supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs). As a relatively new product, low-viscosity typed SP has introduced for high performance concrete with high viscosity due to its high solid volume fraction with various SCMs. However, there are not enough research or reports on the performance of the low viscosity typed SP with cement-based materials incorporting SCMs. hence, in this research, for cement paste and mortar, fluidity and rheological properties were evaluated when the mixtures contained various SCMs such as fly ash, blast furnace slag, and silica fume. From the experiment conducted, it was checked that the low viscosity typed superplasticizer decreased the plastic viscosity of the mixture as well as the yield stress. From the results of this research, it is expected to contribute on introduction of new type SP for high performance concrete or high-viscous cementitious materials.

Effects of Chemical Admixture on the Quality Characteristics of Grout for Prestressed Concrete (화학 혼화제가 PSC용 그라우트 품질 특성에 미치는 영향)

  • The study investigates the effects of the content and using method of chemical admixtures such as superplasticizer and viscosity modifying admixture on the fluidity, bleeding ratio, volumetric change and compressive strength of the grout in order to provide basic data for the development of high-quality grout for prestressed concrete. It appeared that the combination of superplasticizer and viscosity modifying admixture decreased the fluidity of grout with small content of superplasticizer. On the contrary, Grout used more than 0.1% of superplasticizer appeared to have significant effect on the improvement of the fluidity. On the other hand, bleeding of grout reduced according to increasing the content of viscosity modifying admixture. Superplasticizer with less than 0.05% had practically no effect on the reduction of bleeding, whereas superplasticizer with more than 0.1% appear to have significant effect on the reduction of bleeding. Also the combination of superplasticizer with 0.15% and viscosity modifying admixture with 0.15% resulted in satisfactory fluidity accompanied with fair reduction of bleeding and shrinkage of the grout.

  • The aim of this research is providing a fundamental idea on reducing viscosity of high performance cementitous materials. In rheological aspect, to determine the fluidity of the cementitious materials, both yield stress and viscosity should be controlled. For the high performance cementitious materials with low water-to-binder ratio and high volume fraction, it was difficult to reduce the viscosity with superplasticizer while reducing yield stress was relatively easy. Hence, in this research, with the goal of reducing viscosity of the cementitious materials, both ways of reducing viscosity were suggested: achieving proper combination of powder conditions, and adding low-viscosity typed water reducer. First, by replacing various byproduct powders, specifically, raw coal ash and wasted limestone powder showed favorable results on reducing viscosity of the cement paste. Regarding the low viscosity typed superplasticizer, it showed a good performance on reducing viscosity comparing with generic superplasticizer. Therefore, based on the results of this research, it is expected to provide a fundamental idea on reducing viscosity of cementitious materials by various methods.

For this purpose, rune kmds of super plasticizer are compared and analyzed for the slump, air content. unit weight, water reducing percent and ratios of compressive strength wth admixture content. As a result, the optimum quantity of admixture content were obtained for ordinary and high strength concrete using super plasticizer.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate experimentally the effects of type of superplasticizer on tensile behavior and cracking pattern of alkali-activated slag-based cementless composite. Three mixtures were prepared according to type of superplasticizer, and the compressive strength and tension tests were performed. Test results showed that differences of tensile strength, tensile strain capacity, and toughness of composites were up to 28.1%, 39.1%, and 66.2%, respectively, according to type of superplasticizer, although fiber balling or poor dispersion of fibers in fresh composites was not observed. It was also observed that the type of superplasticizer influenced number of cracks and maximum fiber bridging stress.

  • 본 연구는 초유동 콘크리트용 모르타르의 물/결합재비 및 고성능 감수제 첨가율에 따른 상대플로우 면적비와 상대깔대기 속도비의 상관관계를 실험으로 검토한 것이다. 구속수비 실험결과, C급 플라이애쉬>F급 플라이애쉬 > 석회석분순으로 나타났기 때문에 F급 플라이애쉬 및 석회석분은 유동성 개선에 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 또한 모르타르 실험결과, 상대플로우 면적비와 상대깔대기 속도비는 고성능 감수제 첨가율이 일정할 경우 물/결합재비의 변화에 따라 원점을 지나는 직선관계로 나타났지만, 물/결합재비가 일정할 경우에는 고성능 감수제 첨가율의 변화에 따라 원점을 지나는 곡선관계로 나타났다. 따라서, 수식화 모델은 Rm= A. m0.4가 합리적이며, 최적값인 ( m .Rm)=(5.1)을 만족하는 배합조건은 플라이애쉬의 경우 치환율 30%, 물/결합재비 83%이며, 석회분의 경우 치환율30%, 물/결합재비 77%로 판명되었다.

  • Recently, admixture manufacturers have improved the performance of admixtures to solve problems caused by high viscosity of high performance admixtures, and accordingly, it is expected to affect fluidity of concrete using admixtures. Therefore, in this research, how each kind of HAE affects consistency curve of cement mortar was examined.
