  • 급변하는 인쇄산업의 비전을 제시해 줄 국내 최대 인쇄인의 축제인 제18회 국제인쇄산업대전(KIPES 2011)이 오는 9월 28일(수)부터 10월 1일(토)까지 경기도 고양시에 위치한 KINTEX 전시장에서 개최된다. "디지털 인쇄로 열어가는 그래픽 세상!"을 주제로 열리는 이번 KIPES 2011은 대한인쇄문화협회와 한국이앤엑스가 공동으로 주최하고 문화체육관광부, 지식경제부, 경기도, KOTRA, 대한인쇄정보산업협동조합연합회, 서울특별시인쇄정보산업협동조합, 대한인쇄기술협회, 대한인쇄연구소, 한국제책공업협동조합, 한국스크린인쇄공업협회, 한국디자인단체총연합회 등 관련기관과 단체가 후원하며, KINTEX 제2전시장 개관에 맞추어 국제플라스틱, 고무산업전 등 관련 유관전시회 5개와 함께 제1전시장 5실에서 1만1000$m^2$의 규모로 동시에 개최된다.

영. 던로프서 신제품 개발에 성공

  • 영국 던로프는 요즈음 타이어가 빵꾸나도 주행할 수 있는 안전한 타이어 "토오탈모오빌리티 타이어"의 개발에 성공한 뜻을 발표했다. 이 타이어의 구조를 간단히 말하면 타이어가 빵꾸났을 경우 타이어안의 모종의 연골류가 빵꾸 구멍을 막아 버리는 역할을 하고 또한 특별한 림과의 콤비로 타이어가 림으로부터 빠지는 일 없이 고속주행을 단속할 수가 있는 것- 이란 것이다. 물론 전세계에는 많은 타이어 메이커가 있어서 수다한 여러가지의 타이어의 연구를 행하고 있으며 과거허다한 신제품이 세상에 나왔으나 "이번의 토오탈, 모오빌리티 타이어는 공기입 타이어, 튜우브래스 타이어, 라디알 타이어의 개발까지도 능가할 만큼의 혁명적 개발이라고 할 수가 있을 테지요"라고 동사에서는 설명. 이에는 작년 동사와 합병한 이태리의 피레리이사의 협력에 힘입은 바도 크다고 부언하고 있다. 또한 동타이어는 아직 시작성공의 단계이지만 1년반후에는 완전화 시판도 예정, 2년후에는 양산화의 체제도 갖추고저 하고 있다. 또한 이에 대해 일본의 제휴회사인 가우 고무에선 "국산화의 용의도 있으며 가능하면 금년 4월경 영국던로프로부터의 수입 타이어로 공개 테스트도 해 보고저 한다"는 지를 말하고있다.

  • The binary liquid type fire retardant paint of polyurethane (alkyd resin) lacquer is developed to cover the defect of one liquid type white paint of chlorinated rubber used generally but which has weak surface and poor adhesive strength to the wood as well as generating much black smoke when it is firing. The properties of the composition of binary liquid type of white paint of polyurethane lacquer developed in this study for using to wood has shown that the better suppressed smoke generation and enhanced the adhesive strength to the wood than that of fire retardant white paint used.

  • The phenyl modified silicone polymer, 1,1-diphenyl-1-methyl-7-hydroxydodecamethylheptasiloxysilane, was synthesized to prepare the silicone polymer with good cold-proof and heart-proof properties. From the TGA analysis in the range of $100{\sim}800^{\circ}C$, the phenyl modified silicone polymer had good thermal properties than polydimethylsiloxane. And furthermore fluidity was maintained even below $0^{\circ}C$. Also, the silicone rubber blended with the phenyl modified silicone polymer had better mechanical properties than the silicone rubber.

  • Using a chlorosulphonated polyethylene rubber solution for a binder of graphite powder and ferrocene for a mediator, a rose leaf tissue-embedded biosensor was built. Linearity on the Hanes-Woolf plot showed the reduction of the substrate was attained through the catalytic power of the rose peroxidase in the experimental range of electrode potential. Furthermore, 10 or more electrochemical parameters demonstrated that the electrode exerts its sensing ability quantitatively. The foregoing gave the full conviction that rose tissue can be used in place of the currently marketed enzyme for the practical use of enzyme electrode.

The Surface Properties of Blend Film of Natural Rubber and Graft Latex by Dipping Process (Dipping법에 의한 천연고무와 그라프트 라텍스 블렌드 필름의 표면특성)

  • The vulcanized NR and blend films were prepared with mixing of natural rubber latex (NRL) and methyl methacrylated grafted latex(MGL) with various additives by dipping process. It was investigated the basic properties of vulcanized NR films that is optimum condition of the mature time, swelling degree, cure time at $110^{\circ}C$, and measured the mechanical properties of tensile strength and elongation of its condition. In order to identify the surface structure and the slip properties of blend films contact angles and static and kinetic friction coefficient were measured. Contact angles were decreased with increment of blend ratio of MGL, and static and kinetic friction coefficient were decreased rapidly for the NR/MG and NR-d-MG films than for the NR films. From the results, NR/MG and NR-d-MG films has slip's reinforcement in skin contact surface with increased of blend ratio of MGL.

Preparation and Physical Properties of Blend Films of Natural Rubber and Chloroprene Rubber Latex (NR/CR 라텍스 블렌드 필름의 제조 및 물리적 특성)

  • The NR films were prepared with mixing of natural rubber latex(NRL) with various additives, and NR/CR films were prepared by blend ratio of chloroprene rubber latex(CRL). The swelling degree and the mechanical properties of these films were measured according to the procure time. As a result, optimum condition were showed the swelling degree : 80~85%, precure time : 48~60hrs., and tensile strength was reduced but elongation was increased as increasing the blend ratio of CRL. On the mechanical properties of films prepared by different dipping process in these optimum condition, the tensile strength and tear strength of NR/CR films by one dipping process are better than NR-d-CR films by two dipping process. The surface of these films were observed with scanning electron microscopy(SEM). It was found that phase separation was occured as increasing the blend ratio of CRL.

  • Liquid crystal elastomer (LCE) fibers have been widely applied in various fields, such as soft robots and biomimetic actuators, in a one-dimensional form. LCEs possess the characteristics of both fluidity and solid order, as well as the elasticity of rubber, and exhibit stimulus-response based on these properties. In particular, by programming the responsiveness to various stimuli such as heat, light, electric fields, and magnetic fields in terms of shape-changing, various movements such as lifting, twisting, and rotating can be realized with high degrees of freedom. Therefore, LCE fibers have the potential for application in various fields such as artificial muscles, soft robots, wearable technologies, and sensing technologies. The research on liquid crystal elastomer fibers is evaluated to have high applicability in various fields in the Fourth Industrial Revolution as a smart material that can include various functionalities beyond simple fibers. In this review, we introduce the structure and basic characteristics of liquid crystal elastomer fibers, the latest research trends on orientation-based fabrication methods, and various applications such as artificial muscles, smart fabrics, and soft robots.

Electrochemical Properties of Tobacco Peroxidase Incorporated Enzyme Electrode Bound with CSM Rubber (CSM 고무로 결합된 담배 과산화효소 고정 효소전극의 전기화학적 특성)

  • In order to substitute for the marketed horseradish peroxidase, a hydrogen peroxide sensor embedded with tobacco leaf in carbon pastes was constructed and its sensing ability was electrochemically evaluated. Ten and more electrode parameters obtained implied that the enzyme electrode exerts its remarkable specificity quantitatively in the experimental range of potential. Especially the small symmetry factor (${\alpha}$, 0.21) showed that the electrode kinetics is very sensitive to the change of electrode potential. The experimental facts above suggested that our enzyme electrode functions as a hydrogen peroxide sensor normally and tobacco peroxidase can be used in the place of the marketed one as an alternative to marketed ones.

  • Three polysiloxaneimide(PSI) as membrane material were prepared by polycondensation of three aromatic dianhydrides(6FDA, BTDA, PMDA) with one siloxane-containing diamine(SIDA, aver. MW. 800). The PSIs were rubbery polymers containing 30~40 wt % of flexible siloxane chains and exhibited low density, high fractional free volume and low surface energy. They were used for pervaporation experiments with 0.05 wt % of four organic aqueous solutions containing ethyl acetate, methylene chloride, trichloroethylene, and toluene, respectively. With increasing hydrophobicity of organic solvents, both pervaporation selectivity and pemeation flux increase.
