This study presents limitations of the old family supported system for the elderly being surfaced in the face of the changing life style of the people in today's industrialized, urban Korean society. The qualitative data used for this study are collected from the focus group discussions(FGD). The FGD data numbered a total of 43 participants who were divided into 8 different groups, each consisting of 5-6 respondents sorted out by sex and age as well as by their current cohabitation with their parents or having such experience in the past. The study paid special attention focusing on the values and the expectations regarding the elderly support and the family relationship. A critical reexamination of the old family support system for the elderly at this particular juncture is also a step forward necessary for the eventual formulation of policy measures by the state and the society to produce a new viable support system for the elderly in the future.

우리나라가 급속도로 고령화 사회로 진입하여 감에 따라 의료비 등 국민적 부담이 크게 증가하고 있는 추세에 있다. 본 논문에서는 노인들의 삶의 질을 제고하고, 국가적으로는 노인의료비 부담을 경감시킬 수 있는 노인케어 유비쿼터스 시스템 u-SCS(Ubiquitous Senior Care System)에 대하여 연구하였다. 본 u-SCS 시스템은 조도 센서에서 감지한 조도값의 차이를 분석하여 실내의 노인이 불을 끄고 켜고 한 정보를 파악한다. 이러한 점등 및 소등 시간에 대한 분석은 노인의 수면 시간 등 일상적인 노인 행동을 인지할 수 있는 정보이므로, 이를 기초로 노인들이 겪을 수 있는 건강상 문제나 일상 생활의 불편함을 해소하는데 중요한 기초 정보로 활용할 수 있다.

기존의 음성인식은 청장년 층에 초점이 맞추어져 있었으나, 최근 고령화가 가속되면서 노인 음성에 대한 연구 필요성이 증대되고 있다. 그러나 노인 음성 데이터셋은 청장년 음성 데이터셋에 비해서는 아직까지 충분히 확보되지 못하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 부족한 노인 음성 데이터셋 확보에 기여하고자 희소한 노인 데이터셋을 증강할 수 있는 방법론에 대해 연구하였다. 이를 위해 노인 음성 특징(feature)을 분석하였으며, '주파수'와 '발화 속도' 특징을 일반 성인 음성에 합성하여 데이터를 증강하였다. 이후 Whisper small 모델을 파인 튜닝한 뒤 노인 음성에 대한 CER(Character Error Rate)를 구하였고, 기존 노인 데이터셋에 증강한 데이터셋을 함께 사용하는 것이 가장 효과적임을 밝혀내었다.

고령화 되어 가는 현대 사회에서 노인들이 일반 성인과 동등한 수준에서 정보를 접근 가능하도록 스마트기기의 손쉬운 인터페이스 방법이 요구된다. 음성 인터페이스는 노인들의 스마트기기 활용도를 높여 줄 수 있지만, 성능이 평균적 성인연령 대의 발성행태에 최적화되어 있어, 노인들이 사용할 경우 음성인식률 저하를 초래한다. 그래서 노인 친화형 음성 인터페이스를 개발하기 위한 일환으로 노인음성에 대한 인식률을 향상시켜 줄 수 있는 전처리 알고리즘을 개발하고자 한다. 이를 위해 노인층과 청년층을 대상으로 음성샘플을 수집하여 분석하였고, 그 결과 노인이 청년에 비해 발성속도가 느리며 이는 스마트기기의 음성인식 기능저하로 이어진다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

This study aims to evaluate the financial impact of construction firms' business diversification. Specifically, from the construction firms' perspective, this study attempted to present basic investment model by analyzing the effect of investment in residential facilities for retired seniors. Analyses results indicated that the financial impact, in terms of sales volume and gross profit, varies according to the size of firms. The results drawn from this study could be a valuable source when construction firms plan to invest and operate residential facility for retired seniors in order to diversify their business portfolio and stabilize financial structure.

The worldwide population is aging rapidly. In this circumstance, Korean society is in need of the urgent comprehensive countermeasures that will help the elderly with their health problems and infection control in their daily life. Universal design has supportive, adaptable, accessible and safety-oriental design standards for the elderly. Is this study, we propose the guidelines of the mobile application development based on the application of the universal design for infection control in the elderly. From the perspective of the universal design, there are several important guidelines including 'generalized access', 'simple and intuitive usage', 'low physical effort', and 'visualized language' based on the KCDC(Korea centers for disease control and prevention) principles for the elderly. These findings show that the guidelines for improving the health literacy of the mobile application via universal design are necessary to enhance the health behavior of infection control for the elderly.

With the prolonged spread of the new coronavirus infection worldwide and the entry of the super-aged society, smart health care, which combines IT technology for senior health care and the health care industry, is emerging as a solution to the aging problem. The development of non-face-to-face care services using Ai is on a global trend, not in some countries, and the form of care services for the elderly using AI artificial intelligence technology is changing rapidly. The convenience of AI-based care services for the elderly is expected to be highlighted, and the technology and market are expected to develop significantly. As the number of single-person households is increasing, the shortage of welfare workers for the elderly is emerging as a social issue. It is presented as a vision to solve long-term social problems such as the labor shortage of elderly care workers as well as the advantages of convenient care services using IT technology. Therefore, we would like to propose the development direction of care services for the elderly as a case study of care services for the elderly and a countermeasure against the super-aging age.

Background: The elderly population aged 65 or older in Korea is expected to continue to increase to 18.4% in 2023, and to enter a super-aged society at 20.6% in 2025. In clinical practice, the elderly discrimination of dental hygienists may experience difficulties during dental hygiene treatment due to an increase in the number of elderly patients due to aging, which can lead to maladjustment to work and turnover, so education on the understanding of the elderly is essential for students in the Department of Dentistry, who are prospective dental hygienists. Accordingly, a study was conducted to prepare for a super-aged society by studying the relationship between elderly discrimination and the knowledge and attitudes of the elderly, and to change the curriculum of universities and develop programs related to the elderly. Method: 204 students enrolled in the Department of Dentistry in D area were analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 25.0 program. The subject's geriatric discrimination, knowledge about the elderly, and attitude toward the elderly were calculated as the mean and standard deviation. T-test and one-way ANOVA were performed to verify the difference in geriatric discrimination according to the general characteristics of the subject, with a Scheffe' test applied for post-hoc analysis. Correlation analysis was conducted on the subject's geriatric discrimination, knowledge about the elderly, and attitudes toward the elderly. Results: Geriatrics scored 2.03±0.36 out of 4. Knowledge about the elderly was categorized as follows: physical domain 0.57±0.15; social domain 0.36±0.17; and psychological domain 0.35±0.20. The attitude toward the elderly was 3.86±0.27. Knowledge of the elderly averaged 11.27±3.30 points out of 25. The question with the highest percentage of correct answers to knowledge about the elderly was 'physical strength tends to decrease with age', which was 93.1%. The attitude toward the elderly according to the general characteristics of the study subjects showed significant differences in gender (p=0.040), age (p=0.026), and life experience with grandparents (p=0.001). The elderly discrimination of the study subjects showed a negative correlation in both attitude and knowledge toward the elderly, and among the elderly discrimination, there was a high positive correlation with regard to emotional avoidance (r=.892, p<0.001). Conclusion: College students are the leading players in caring for the elderly and are directly affected by aging social problems. Therefore, it is considered necessary to apply various programs in the state, society, and educational institutions to avoid negative prejudices that lead to positive thinking and discrimination against the elderly.

The purpose of this study was to examine the knowledge of dental hygienists about the elderly and their attitude toward them as dental hygienists played vital roles in oral health care for elderly patients. It's ultimately meant to help improve their right understanding of the elderly to provide quality oral health care service to the elderly population in preparation for an aging society. The subjects in this study were 241 dental hygienists, on whom a self-administered survey was implemented. After the collected data were analyzed, the following findings were given: They got a mean of $12.40{\pm}2.99$ out of possible 22 points on knowledge of the elderly. Their general characteristics and characteristics related to the elderly made no statistically significant differences to their knowledge. As for attitude toward the elderly, they got a mean of $3.13{\pm}0.28$. Concerning links between their general characteristics and attitude toward the elderly, the better-educated dental hygienists took a more favorable attitude to the elderly.

고령화 시대에 있어서 노인복지시설을 이용하는 많은 노인들이 본인의 의지와 관계없이 일반적으로 경험하게 되는 건강관리 관련 프로그램은 대체의학과 밀접한 관계를 가지고 있다. 따라서 대체의학을 노인관련 의료복지에 적용함으로써 노인성질환에 대한 예방과 치료에 활용하고 치료를 통하여 노인의료복지의 수준을 제고하는데 노력을 할 필요성이 있다. 본 논문은 노인들의 일상생활에서의 대체의학의 요법을 통해서 포괄적인 건강증진을 위한 실천적 방안을 제시하고자 하였다.
