In this study, a steel pipe type rockbolt manufactured from special material was developed which has high strength and lightweight characteristics. Achievement of grout filling between rockbolt and hole wall was investigated through grout injection tests. Yield force of the developed rockbolt was also examined through tensile tests, which was compared with that of the deformed bar type rockbolt. In addition, the strength and elongation properties of the developed rockbolt were investigated through pull-out tests at three domestic sites showing different RMR classes. It is finally supposed that the developed rockbolt can be suitable for the permanent tunnel support because it has high strength and high durability rather than deformed bar type rockbolt.

This study was conducted as part of research and development of high-strength grout. Accordingly, dolomite aggregate was used as a filler incorporated into the high-strength grout. Dolomite aggregate has a disadvantage of increasing the viscosity of the grout due to higher generation of fine powder than other aggregates. Accordingly, in this experiment, it was confirmed that the viscosity, flow time, and flow of high-strength grout change according to the volume composition ratio of dolomite aggregate and cement-based material. All experiments were conducted based on the Korean Industrial Standard KS F 4044, and the mixing factor was applied according to the composition ratio of the binder and the filler. In the experiment, the amount of fine powder contained in the dolomite aggregate rather than the silica sand used in the past is grasped, and after mixing with the grout accordingly, the mixture is proceeded to measure the viscosity in an unhardened state. In addition, the flow and flow time of the grout are evaluated according to the viscosity. As a result of the experiment, it was confirmed that the viscosity and flow time decreased and the flow increased as the volume composition ratio of the dolomite aggregate to the cement-based material increased.
This paper presents the results of full-scale uplift load tests performed on 24 passive anchors grouted to various lengths at Okchun and Changnyong site. Rock anchors were installed over a wide range of rock types and qualities with a fixed anchored depth of 1~6 m. The majority of installations used D51 mm high grade steel rebar to induce rock failure prior to rod failure. However, a few installations included the use of D32 mm rebar at relatively deeper anchored depth so as to induce rod failure. In many tests, rock failure was reached and the ultimate loads were recorded along with observations of the shape and extent of the failure surface. In addition to field tests, laboratory pullout tests were conducted to determine bond strength and bond stress-shear slip relation at the tendon/grout interface when a corrosion protection sheath is installed in the cement-based grout. The test results show that the ultimate tendon-grout bond strength is measured from 18~25% of unconfined compressive strength of grout. One of the important results from these tests is that the measured strains along the corrosion protection sheath were so small that practically the reduction of bond strength by the presence of sheath would be negligible.
In this study, the mixed design of grout with hish strength.high permeation.high durability and environmental stability as the state of the art in material field was performed. Also, the subjects of grouting, grouting effects for ground conditions, and environmental effects were analyzed. According to these results, the fundamental data will be suggested as a design of grouting in the field application. The physical, mechanical and chemical characteristics with particle shape of the grouts were analyzed. Then, the gel-time of grouts, which is essential for workability and permeation range, were controlled. Also, the laboratory model grouting tests were performed to find the characteristics of solidification, permeation and durability with grouts. The ordinary portland, slag and microcement which have been used in the construction field were evaluated fur the environmental effects. To find the leaching of $Cr^{6+}$characteristics in cement grouts, $Cr^{6+}$ leaching tests were performed for the raw materials. Also, the results of leaching test were shorn by surrounding environment. Then, the unconfined compression strength tests were performed with the homo-gel samples, and the amount of changed $Cr^{6+}$ was measured by curing solution.
Grouting materials are used for the unification of superstructural and substructural body like bridge seat (shoe) or machinery pedestal and e.t.c by filling their intercalary voids. Accordingly, grouting materials have been developed and used mainly with products of high strength because those materials are constructed specially in a part receiving large or impact load. In this situation, the structural body constructed by grouting materials with high stiffness-centered (caused by high strength) products is apt to cause brittle failure when receiving over a limit stress and to cause cracks according to cumulative fatigue by continuous and cyclic load. In addition, grouting materials are apt to cause cracks by using too much rapid hardening agents that give rise to high heat of hydration to maintain high strength at early age. In this study, to overcome these problems, cement type grouting materials including powder of waste tire and resin as elastic materials which aim to be more stable construction and to be improvement of mother-body's unification are developed and endowed with properties of high toughness and high durability add to existing properties of high flowability, non-shrinkage and high strength. Besides, this study contribute to of for green construction materials for being possible recycling industrial waste like waste tire and flyash. On the whole, seven type mixing conditions are tested and investigated to choose the best mixing condition.

In recent years, the use of high-strength grout has gained popularity in offshore wind power generation complexes for facility foundations and bridges. These marine wind farms require support for horizontal loads from wind and waves. To ensure the strength of the grout produced in environments similar to the actual placing site, this study investigated the curing of high-strength grout discharged through pump pressure in various environments, and examined the difference in strength according to different variables. Compressive strength measurements revealed that the core specimen collected from the bottom (3cm) and uppermost (50cm) of the specimen exhibited lower strength compared to other height specimens, while the core specimen obtained from the corner exhibited lower strength compared to the center. These findings suggest that the strength difference between the center and the corner is more pronounced when curing at low temperatures. This effect is greater than the strength reduction that typically occurs during low-temperature curing, and thus, necessitates careful attention in similar construction environments.

In this study, grout was poured into seawater to confirm the effect of similar marine environment and underwater erosion on the mechanical performance of domestically produced high-performance grout and compared with the existing strength. As a result of the compressive strength measurement, the specimen that simultaneously performed underwater drilling and seawater curing showed slow initial strength expression in both H1 and H2, and from the 7th day, it was confirmed to be within 2% of the existing intensity. It is believed that both grout were caused by disturbance with water during underwater drilling, and the same strength was subsequently shown as the existing strength.

The study investigates the effects of the content and using method of chemical admixtures such as superplasticizer and viscosity modifying admixture on the fluidity, bleeding ratio, volumetric change and compressive strength of the grout in order to provide basic data for the development of high-quality grout for prestressed concrete. It appeared that the combination of superplasticizer and viscosity modifying admixture decreased the fluidity of grout with small content of superplasticizer. On the contrary, Grout used more than 0.1% of superplasticizer appeared to have significant effect on the improvement of the fluidity. On the other hand, bleeding of grout reduced according to increasing the content of viscosity modifying admixture. Superplasticizer with less than 0.05% had practically no effect on the reduction of bleeding, whereas superplasticizer with more than 0.1% appear to have significant effect on the reduction of bleeding. Also the combination of superplasticizer with 0.15% and viscosity modifying admixture with 0.15% resulted in satisfactory fluidity accompanied with fair reduction of bleeding and shrinkage of the grout.
This paper reports on analyzing the free and restrained shrinkage characteristic of ternary grout used cementitious admixture. In this study, the cementitious admixture was used such as fly ash, ziricania silica fume by combination of expansive additive (a, b) and shrinkage reducing agent. And a number of basic performance tests were conducted to investigate bleeding, volume change, fluidity and compressive strength behavior. According to the results, within appropriate mixing ratio, even the fluidity is not influenced by expansive additive and shrinkage reducing agent, the resistant properties of bleeding, volume change, shrinkage and compressive strength are increased. Comparing with plain grout, the free shrinkage reduced by a minimum of 29% which specimens are added expansive additive and shrinkage reducing agent. The combination of expansive additive a and shrinkage reducing agent is the most effective for reduction of shrinkage. And increasing the mixing ratio of expansive additive and shrinkage reducing agent extended cracking time. Nevertheless, combined addition of expansive additive a 2.0% and shrinkage reducing agent 0.50% has best shrinkage reduction behavior and not appeared cracking. From the above, the mixing ratio of 2.0% of expansive additive a and 0.50% of shrinkage reducing agent is high performance ternary grout for PSC bridge.
Portland cement and sodium silicate are widely used as the main components of the injection, which are used to prevent flow and improve ground condition. The main problem of the injection material is the leaching of the sodium hydroxite and silicate due to the limited reaction with the cement. This paper studies the effect of cement hydration retarder on the compressive strength of the sodium silicate - cement gel. A series of tests, including digital-type testing machine, X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscope are performed. Results clearly demonstrate that the sodium tripolyphosphate, which is the cement hydration retarder in the test, significantly improves the initial strength of the homogel.
