  • Decentralized approaches are extensively researched by academia and industry in order to cover up the flaws of existing systems in terms of data privacy. Blockchain and decentralized learning are prominent representatives of a deconcentrated approach. Blockchain is secure by design since the data record is irrevocable, tamper-resistant, consensus-based decision making, and inexpensive of overall transactions. On the other hand, decentralized learning empowers a number of devices collectively in improving a deep learning model without exposing the dataset publicly. To motivate participants to use their resources in building models, a decent and proportional incentive system is a necessity. A centralized incentive mechanism is likely inconvenient to be adopted in decentralized learning since it relies on the middleman that still suffers from bottleneck issues. Therefore, we design an incentive model for decentralized learning applications by leveraging the Ethereum smart contract. The simulation results satisfy the design goals. We also outline the concerns in implementing the presented scheme for sensitive data regarding privacy and data leakage.

A Study on Environmental Assessment of Bikeway based on ANP Model for Sustainable Green Road (지속가능 녹색 도로 조성을 위한 ANP 모델 기반 자전거도로 환경 평가 방안)

  • As part of recent sustainable transport, bike has come into the spotlight as a green transport at close range to link between walking and public transit and also alterative to solve problems of existing vehicle travel. Some arguments on promotion of using bicycles have already been made in Europe, the U.S and other developed countries. To be sure, much has been written extensively in description of utilization of bike oriented by supplier, for examples, Level of Service with bike path, infrastructure such as bicycle racks and lounge etc. Therefore, our study has been differentiated in development of new evaluation model focused on level of bike user's satisfaction, comprehensively considering suitability for bikeway installation, connectivity of the public transportation system and stability in Incheon City. ANP(Analytic Network Process) analysis which is able to allow consideration of the interdependence of criteria has been hired due to multi-collinearity instead of AHP used in multi-criteria decision analysis. Last but not least, we drew bike route on a case-by-case for maintenance and improvement of its facility in Namdong-gu and Bupyeong-gu. To conclude, suggested finding has dem onstrated the validity of evaluation scheme for bikeways which is appropriate for type and purpose and ultimately this can be used to establish policy decision making for improvement of bikeway.

  • To increase port productivity and efficiency and also to avoid disadvantages of public port management, a port authority system h1s been introduced worldwide. The Korea Port Authority Act was enacted in 2003 and Incheon Port Authority was established in July 2005. The objective of this paper is to develop a strategy of Incheon Port Authority using SWOT/AHP method Research findings show that possibilities of business expansion and growth as well as geographical advantages of Incheon Port are identified as its strength The opportunities of Incheon Port Authority are continuous increase of cargo handling volumes in the Yellow sea rim and expansion of Free Trade Zone. A government two-port policy and growing its dependence on China and rapid growth of more competitors in domestic and overseas are considered to be threat. Its weaknesses include superannuated Incheon port facilities and port hinterland shortages. Based on SWOT analysis combined with AHP method this paper suggests S/O strategy, W/O strategy, S/T strategy, and W/T strategy as a strategic development plan of Incheon Port Authority.

Classification of Rural Area by AHP Method (AHP법을 이용한 농촌지역유형 구분)

  • The objectives of this study were to confirm the necessity of classifying rural areas into several zone, which is being required to carry out vanous regional development projects in rural areas sponsored by govermnent effectively, make the standard for the classification. To summarize the results obtained from this study are as follows Based on the evaluation on the resource amount, the region of eup and myeon in the five gun were classified into five type(A, B, C, D, E). From the classification result, 6 eup and myeon were classified into A type, 13 eup and myeon into B type, 14 eup and myeon into C type, 18 eup and myeon into D type, 11 eup and myeon into E type. This showed that the five belts were distributed evenly in the five gun. The regions of eup and key myeon in each gun were classified into A type(Urbanization). The evaluation on the resource amount of the region that held beautiful view of nature and great tourist attractions was high although the region was close to E type (Mountains) in geographical feature. The regional characteristics of each eup or myeon are different although eup and myeon that were located in the same gun or adjacent each other. Therefore, it is thought that when the project for development of rural areas is planned, the regional characteristic of each eup and myeon should be considered to utilize the potential of each region fully. In summary, it is believed that to get productive results from the development Project in rural areas, strategics should be different based on the regional characteristic of each zone.
