This paper proposes a new 3D modeling technique using disparity-motion relationship and feature points. To generate the 3D model from real scene, generally, we need to compute depth of model vertices from the dense correspondence map over whole images. It takes much time and is also very difficult to get accurate depth. To improve such problems, in this paper, we only need to find the correspondence of some feature points to generate a 3D model of object without dense correspondence map. The proposed method consists of three parts, which are the extraction of object, the extraction of feature points, and the hierarchical 3D modeling using classified feature points. It has characteristics of low complexity and is effective to synthesize images with virtual view and to express the smoothness of Plain regions and the sharpness of edges.

Recently, RF energy harvesting, in which energy is collected from the external RF signals, is considered as a promising technology to resolve the energy shortage problem of wireless sensors. In addition, it is important to guarantee secure communication between sensors for implementing Internet-of-Things. In this paper, we propose a power splitting-based network analog coding for maximizing a physical layer security in 2-hop networks where the wireless-powered relay can harvest energy from the signals transmitted by two sources. We formulate systems where two sources, relay, and eavesdropper exist, and find an optimal power splitting ratio for maximizing the minimum required secrecy capacity using an exhaustive search. Through simulations under various environments, it is demonstrated that the proposed scheme improves the minimum required secrecy capacity by preventing the eavesdropper from overhearing source signals, compared to the conventional scheme.

Recently, many researches have been conducted on the aviation industry to replace the wire harness cable between the avionics of the aircraft with the wireless network. In this paper, we present an Event-Based Simulator for Wireless Avionics Intra-Communications (ES-WAIC) that can verify core technologies of wireless networks and efficiently integrate different layers of the network. ES-WAIC is developed to enhance the readability between the real time control application developers of the higher layer and the network layer developers. Specifically, the practical implement relies on an event-based programming concept to increase portability and compatibility that can be applied to the realistic low-power wireless embedded networks. ES-WAIC implements the overall system layers including the wireless channel modeling of the 4.4GHz band, the physical layer, the medium access control, the network, and the application layer of wireless avionics intra-communications.
Mobile IP has been designed only to maintain communications as mobile devices move from a place to a place, so it does not guarantee Quality of Service (QoS). Hierarchical MIPv6 improved QoS somewhat using Mobility Anchor Point(MAP), but QoS guarantee problem still remains. QoS in mobile IP is important to provide multimedia and real-timeapplications services in a mobile environment, and QoS is closely related to handoff delay. Therefore, handoff delay problem is actively studied as a main issue in mobile IP research area to guarantee QoS. In this paper, we suggest SNMP Information-based routing that adds keyword management method to Information-based routing in an active network in order to resolve such a problem, Suggested QoS controlled method and existing handoff method, simulations are carried out with NS-2 for performance evaluation. The results of simulations show an improvement on handoff delay, and consequently the QoS improvement.

Recently, the Multi-Layer Restoration(MLR) algorithm was proposed by British Telecom(BT) to restore the network failures in Digital Cross-connect System(DCS) mesh survival network[1, 2]. This algorithm has multi restoration stage which is composed of the pre-planned and dynamic restoration. This algorithm is effective its ability in link or node failures. This reason is that it does not restore in the pre-planned rstoration stage but in dynamic restoration stage. In this paper, we propose the MLR with pre-planned Multi-Chooser(PMC) and successive restoration ratio algorithm. This proposed algorithm has a excellent performance for restortion time and ratio, spare channel availability and fast restoration from multiple link failure or node failure. This paper proposed the modeling and restoration algorithm, and analyzed the performance of the algorithm by simulation using OPNET(OPtimized Network Engineering Tools).
Modeling and Simulation, especially in mobile ad hoc network(MANET), are the most effective way to analyze performance or optimize system parameters without establishing real network environment. Focusing mainly on overall network behaviors in MANET concerns dynamics of network transport operations, which can efficiently be characterized with event based system states rather than execution details of protocols. We thus consider the network as a discrete event system to analyze dynamics of network transport performance. Zeigler's set-theoretic DEVS(Discrete Event Systems Specification) formalism can support specification of a discrete event system in hierarchical, modular manner. The DEVSim++ simulation environment can not only provide a rigorous modeling methodology based on the DEVS formalism but also support modelers to develop discrete event models using the hierarchical composition methodology in object-orientation. This environment however hardly supports to specify connection paths of network nodes, which are continuously altered due to mobility of nodes. This paper proposes a DEVS-based modeling and simulation methodology of enabling node mobility, and develops DEVS models for the mobile ad hoc network. We also simulate developed models with the DEVSim++ engine to verify the proposal.

The strength of particle-reinforced metal matrix composites is, in general, known to be increased by the geometrically necessary dislocations punched around a particle that form during cooling after consolidation because of coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) mismatch between the particle and the matrix. An additional strength increase may also be observed, since another type of geometrically necessary dislocation can be formed during extensive deformation as a result of the strain gradient plasticity due to the elastic-plastic mismatch between the particle and the matrix. In this paper, the magnitudes of these two types of dislocations are calculated based on the dislocation plasticity. The dislocations are then converted to the respective strengths and allocated hierarchically to the matrix around the particle in the axisymmetric finite-element unit cell model. The proposed method is shown to be very effective by performing finite-element strength analysis of $SiC_p$/Al2124-T4 composites that included ductile failure in the matrix and particlematrix decohesion. The predicted results for different particle sizes and volume fractions show that the length scale effect of the particle size obviously affects the strength and failure behavior of the particle-reinforced metal matrix composites.

Although MARC can define the detail cataloguing data, it has complex structures and frameworks to represent bibliographic information. On account of these idiosyncratic features of MARC, XML DTD or RDF/S that supports simple hierarchy of conceptual vocabularies cannot capture MARC formalism effectively. This study implements bibliographic ontology by means of abstracting conceptual relationships between bibliographic vocabularies of MARC. The bibliographic ontology is formalized with OWL that can represent the logical relations between conceptual elements and specify cardinality and property value restrictions. The bibliographic ontology in this study will provide metadata for cataloguing data and resolve compatibility problems between cataloguing systems. And it can also contribute the development of next generation bibliographic information system using semantic Web services.

The purpose of this study is to propose the Design Object Model for implementation of an integrated structural design system for building structures. This study outlines the step-by-step development methodologies of the Design Object Model, which covers classification and modeling of the building design information. The Design Object Model has been efficiently developed through the proposed development methodologies. As a result, the Design Object Model has been proved to be efficient in design information management by representing the information from planning perspective, in recognition of structural member in space by the topology design object, and in representation of analysis s design information.

Context-awareness as a key technology of ubiquitous computing needs a context model that understands and processes situational information coming from diverse sensors and devices, and can be applied diversely in various domains. Semantic web based ontologies use structured standard format and express meaning of information, so it is possible to recognize effectively context-awareness situations, allowing the system to share information and understand situation by inference. In this paper, we propose a layered ontology model to support generality and scaleability of the context-awareness system, and applied the model to u-Convention domain. In addition, we propose a effective reasoning method to handle compound situation by combining OWL-DL and SWRL rules.
