In this paper, we deal with a hierarchical ring-mesh optical network design problem. The objective is to minimize the total cost of optical add-drop multiplexers (OADMs) handling intra-ring traffic, optical cross-connects (OXCs) handling inter-ring traffic, and cabling cost among OADMs and among OXCs, while satisfying intra-ring and inter-ring capacities. We develop an integer programming (IP) formulation for the problem and devise some cutting planes that partially break the symmetry of rings. Dealing with the inherent computational complexity of the problem, we devise an effective heuristic procedure that finds a good quality feasible solution within reasonable computing times. Computational results demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed solution procedure; the developed symmetry breaking inequalities significantly reduce the computing time to find an optimal solution for small size problems, and the heuristic procedure finds a better feasible solution than that CPLEX, a commercial optimization software, finds for large size problems.
A practical use of the location information and user requirement are increased in a mobile environment which supports the portability. And Various service which GIS is related with a Spatial DB have been processed. Generally, logical relation of a traffic network which organizes the Road DB uses a basic node-link structure. In this way, Designed structure can not be flexible at various model apply and are not efficient with a database retrieval in a maintenance management side. In this research, We supplement with the problem of a existing network model and the limitation of the building through the design of a network model which uses dynamic segmentation. And we tried to implement efficient hierarchy model at the retrieval of the network and presentation. Designed model supports a stage presentation of various level and a hierarchy entity relation and We are expected to supplement a network spatial modelling function which the GIS has.
Since smart phones have various embedded sensors and high portability/usability, they have emerged as suitable targets to collect information and to provide intelligent services. That is, with a smart phone, we can collect information about user's circumstances and phone usage from sensors and infer his/her current state which is the significant basis for context-aware services. However, a service system should be founded on a context model to ensure reasonable context-awareness, because context information the system needs depends on its target services. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a hierarchical mobile context model for context inference of smart phone users in their daily life. We classify high-level context which can be draw from sensing data into three levels, Context-Behavior-Situation, and define inference methods for each level. With our mobile context model, we can user's meaningful context in his/her daily life besides simple actions or states.
Combat modeling and simulation (M&S) of large-scale computer generated forces (CGFs) enables the development of even the most sophisticated strategy of combat warfare and the efficient facilitation of a comprehensive simulation of the upcoming battle. The DEVS-POMDP framework is proposed where the DEVS framework describing the explicit behavior rules in military doctrines, and POMDP model describing the autonomous behavior of the CGFs are hierarchically combined to capture the complexity of realistic world combat modeling and simulation. However, it has previously been well documented that computing the optimal policy of a POMDP model is computationally demanding. In this paper, we show that not only can the performance of CGFs be improved by an efficient POMDP tree search algorithm but CGFs are also able to conveniently learn the behavior model of the enemy through case studies in the scenario of counterfire warfare and the scenario of a mechanized infantry brigade's offensive operations.

VP 제어 계층에서 각 VP는 입력 $p_i(t)=u^c_i+u^o_i+u^{co}_i+u^h_i$-(1)을 받아 제어되는데 여기서, $u^c_i{\in}{\mathbb{R}}^3$는 VP 사이의 충돌방지제어, $u^o_i{\in}{\mathbb{R}}^3$는 장애물과의 충돌방지제어, $u^{co}_i{\in}{\mathbb{R}}^3$는 UAV 상호간의 협조제어, $u^h_i{\in}{\mathbb{R}}^3$는 작업자로부터의 원격제어명령이다. (1)의 제어입력에서 충돌방지제어는 각 $u^i_c:=-{\sum\limits_{j{\in}{\eta}_i}}{\frac {{\partial}{\phi}_{ij}^c({\parallel}p_i-p_j{\parallel})^T}{{\partial}p_i}}$-(2), $u^o_c:=-{\sum\limits_{r{\in}O_i}}{\frac {{\partial}{\phi}_{ir}^o({\parallel}p_i-p^o_r{\parallel})^T}{{\partial}p_i}}$-(3)로 정의되면 ${\phi}^c_{ij}$와 ${\phi}^o_{ir}$는 포텐셜 함수를 나타낸다.
There exist several types of distributed subscriber networks using Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line(ADSL), Very high -bit rate Digital subscriber Line(VDSL), and Data Oner Cable Service Interface Specifications(DOCSIS). The efficient and concentrated network management of those several distributed subscribers networks and resources requires the general management information model of network, which has abstract and conceptual managed objects of the heterogeneous networks and its equipment to manage the integrated subscriber network. This paper presents the general Internet subscribers network modeling framework using RM-ODP to manage that network in the form of integrated hierarchy. This paper adopts the object-oriented development methodology with UML and designs and implements the HFC network of DOCSIS as an example of the subscriber network.

The XML is emerging as standard language for data exchange on the Web. Therefore the demand of XML Schema(W3C XML Schema Spec.) that verifies XML document becomes increasing. However, XML Schema has a weak point for design because of its complication despite of various data and abundant expressiveness. This paper shows a simple way of design for XML Schema using a fundamental means for database design, the Entity-Relationship model. The conversion from the Entity-Relationship model to XML Schema can not be directly on account of discordance between the two models. So we present some algorithms to generate XML Schema from the Entity-Relationship model. The algorithms produce XML Schema codes using a hierarchical view representation. An important objective of this automatic generation is to preserve XML Schema's characteristics such as reusability, global and local ability, ability of expansion and various type changes.

In this study, the last 10 years of news data on fine dust was collected and 80 topics are selected through LDA analysis. As a result, weather-related information made up the main words for the topic, and we can see that fine dust becomes a big issue below 10 degrees Celsius. The frequency of exposure to the media and the maximum concentration of fine dust are correlated with positive. Topics related to fine dust reduction measures and the government's comprehensive measures over the past decade, topics related to products such as air purifiers related to fine dust, topics related to policies protecting vulnerable people from fine dust, and topics on fine dust reduction through R&D were found to be major topics. Measures against fine dust as a social issue can be seen to be closely related to the government's policy.
An agent-based simulation is a popular simulation tool to solve various problems, such as stock market, population prediction, disease prediction, and development of a traffic system. As the agents are developed and researched in different application fields, the agent has a rigid structure and may not acceptable in different domains. As a result, it is a challenging problem to define a structure for an agent structure to reflect the researcher's simulation objective. This research proposes an extendable form for an agent and its modeling environment. In order to propose a standard structure, this study adopts system entity structure and discrete event system specification formalism. Also, this research introduces the SESManager which supports the proposed specification method. The proposed environment can hierarchically define the agent structure and synthesize the agent so that it can perform the agent simulation according to the user's simulation purpose.
