A Conceptual Framework for Customer Experience Design, Implementation and Evaluation (고객 경험 디자인, 구현 및 평가를 위한 개념적 프레임워크)

  • Current research and practice have increasingly sought to focus on approaches to facilitate innovation due to its expanding growth of the experience economy over the past decade. Normally, customer experience design aims to maximize the effectiveness of positive experience with a brand or company's touchpoints when customers make a purchase as well as use a certain product or service. In order to design a product or service that can provide varying levels of experiences, there needs more beneficial design process strategies to help resolve the changing nature of customer experience. Design process is one such approach that provides designers as well as researchers across various academic disciplines as an integral source of creativity, driving innovation and growth. In this regard, this study aims to look specifically at the nature of customer experience and attempts to understand what extent that design process in both practice and theoretical perspective can assist in customer experience improvement. As a further consequence, this study will focus on implementing the idea of circular design into the customer experience process, namely the Circular CX Design Process-which is expected to increase effectiveness and efficiency in addressing customer needs and demands as well as delivering positive experiences at various touchpoints along the customer journey.

  • The 21st century could be called the age of Experience Economy associated with the importance to external and internal experience of product users. It needs the understanding of customer's needs in new point of view. In the area of design development, it requires the extensive application of experience from traditional method that was based on the style and usability to more advanced concept. To correspond to these changes, we need to explore new customer's value system for knowledge-information design and systematic approaches to experience system. The purpose of this research is to define the concept of 'experience' newly in the importance side of customer's life, form a clear definition of experience design and present the model of application system. Theoretical frameworks of this research are based on the Empiricism and John Dewey's theory. By applying these frameworks make dear the concept of experience concept and reanalysis the meaning and style in the perspective of design. In this process, we can extract the main factors that inducing the experience, create new application system and model again to the field of design. Application model can creates various experiences through supplying different experience style and factors for customer, make customer realize experience object. Experience designs offer optimal experience to users by making a plan and design experience to user's goal.

Case Study about BX(Brand Experience) Design System Development -Focusing on JUNGGANEGOTGAN Brand- (브랜드 경험(Brand Experience)디자인 시스템 개발사례 연구 -'정가(家)네곳간' 브랜드 개발사례 중심으로-)

  • This study is about brand design system development cases based on BX, focusing on research of JUNGGANEGOTGAN brand conducted from January 2018 to April. BX is a subjective and internal response of consumers arising from design stimulus including brand identity. BX design is brand-related stimulus based on brand experience and BX is generated when stimulant of brand design and consumers' contacting with brand are interacting. The most important thing of BX design system is that BX design system plays a very important role when consumers choose goods or services of some brand at the various touch points of brand in the process that consumers form the certain brand image. This study suggests the final completed brand design draft plan along with brand design system development strategy conducted about JUNGGANEGOTGAN based on BX design. As a result, modeling and associations of JUNGGANEGOTGAN brand experience design seem to be statistically meaningful (F=30.961, p<.001). Preferences of brand design is rated by modeling (=.443, p<.001), associations (=.218, p<.001) in order and it turns out to be affected.

  • 4 세대 모바일폰은 카메라, MP3, 블루투스, DMB, 전자수첩, PC, 웹브라우징의 복합 기능을 가진 제품으로 진화하고 있으며, 이를 위한 사용자의 요구와 경험디자인의 요소를 탐색하고 분석하는 것이 요구된다. 하지만 기존의 사용자 요구의 조사와 경험디자인은 많은 비용과 시간을 투입하고도 기존 요구의 재확인에 머물거나, 제한적이고 예측 가능한 결과만을 도출하는 문제점을 가지고 있어 창의적 디자인 아이디어 도출에는 한계를 가지고 있다. 이는 사용자의 선정과 분석의 방법이 마케팅 중심의 통계적 방법에 기초하고 있으며, 사용자의 선정에 분석의 결과가 좌우되기 때문이다. 본 연구는 창의적 경험디자인의 방법으로서 1% 이미지 추출의 작업과 국내외 커뮤니티 사이트를 중심으로 한 디지털 포켓리서치의 방법을 활용하였나 2차 사용자 조사는 '1% UX 리서치'로 명명한 극단적 사용자 분석의 방법을 개발하고 적용하였으며, 주요 디자인 요구와 암시점은 K-J 매트릭스를 통하여 체계화하였다. 디지털포켓리서치와 1% 사용자의 리서치의 방법론은 근 미래의 사용자 예측과 풍부한 경험디자인의 아이디어를 발상할 수 있다는 측면에서 기존의 방법론 보다 비용과 시간 측면에서 효율적으로 활용할 수 있었다.

  • Carbonated drinks are a kind of drink that is popular in our daily lives and are sold mainly among young people. There are many brands of carbonated drinks currently on sale, and most of them emphasize the distinction of texture, and brand images and packages have further commercialized package design as a whole. It is necessary to increase the emotional experience of soda package design, which can increase the added value of the brand. Sensibility is the most common psychological experience in humans and is the subjective experience and feeling of things. By combining the emotional experience with the package design of carbonated drinks, it provides more emotional user experience while purchasing carbonated drinks, realizing diversification of product package designs and satisfying consumers' emotional needs. This paper first examines the package design of carbonated drinks, I hope it will be an implication if you increase the emotional experience of soda package design.

  • Minimalism, which started with the subtle distinction between the end of modernism and beginning of post-modernism, was not limited to the fine arts but also spread through architecture, fashion, and the rest of the design industries. this historical study is considered a logical, user experience-based design process, the latest issue derived from the collision between minimalism and the digital environment is not limited to practical industrial design processes, but also their theoretical study. the results show that user experience-based design process and minimalism share many of the same qualities. based on these similarities, minimalism and user experience-based design process can be grouped together both academically and theoretically for establishing a future academic template for the digital designing process.

  • The purpose of this study is to maximize the development and utilization of digital innovation. First, analyzed the status of industrial development and digital innovation. Second, examined emotion and experience, looked into their types and properties. Third, attempted to develop a more creative and innovative user experience. The results of this study were presented as a theoretical basis, specification of research direction and research scope, and design analysis direction. It is expected to be used as a basic data that can help how to approach and interpret human emotions and behaviors in order to provide differentiated experiences by he essential concepts of emotions, experiences in various fields in the future.

  • 기술의 발달로 인하여 제품의 특징과 편익이 제품을 선택하는데 있어서의 중요성이 약화되었다. 이로 인하여 제품의 기능성을 바탕으로 하여, 사용성 더 나아가 제품을 사용하는데 있어서의 즐거움을 제공하는 것이 기업의 성공에 큰 영향을 끼치게 되었다. 이러한 제품의 기능성, 사용성, 사용하는데 있어서의 즐거움 같은 요소들이 통합되어 제품을 사용하는데 있어서의 사용자의 경험을 이루게 된다. 이러한 경험을 실제 디자인과 연관 짓는데 있어서 경험이라는 것 자체가 정성적이고 복잡한 구조를 가지고 있고, 추상적이어서 진정한 의미의 경험디자인의 단계에 이르지 못하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 무수한 요소와 여러 환경 적인 영향을 받는 복잡한 사용자 경험에 대하여, 여러 방면에서 연구되고 있는 사용자 경험의 요소들을 종합하여 그 구조 규명하였다. 또한 사용자 경험의 요소와 그 경험을 가능하게 해주는 제품의 디자인 팩터들을 정의하여, 이러한 요소들이 어떤 관계성을 갖고 어떠한 요소에 의해 영향을 받는지에 대하여 모델링 하였다.

Research on the correlation between public design and user experience (공공디자인과 사용자 경험의 상관관계에 관한 연구)

  • Diverse public institutions from Republic of Korea currently hold various policies regarding public design with close attentions. Thus, the primary goal of this study relies on analyzing relation between public design and user experience. In accordance with comprehensive understanding from literature researches, and the evaluation criteria of public design could be identified through diverse pilot researches and existing relative researches. Analysis regarding Shedroff's experiential elements and user-experience factors had been conducted based on an instance mentioned by Korea Association of Public Design. The field test was conducted among experienced users (100 individuals) through survey. The research could detect significant correlation between public design(accessibility, regionalism) and user experience(pleasurable, meaningful). The overall user satisfaction level has been remarked as 2.64 out of 5.0 despite vigorous policies. Even though the importance of esthetic aspects should not be disregarded, the priority of study should rely on identifying 'who' are the actual users and 'the way' they understand.

  • Form design for information registration should consider and classify various possible cases and each user case and reflect it in the design. In this paper, I analyzed the visual and emotional factors of information design that elicit positive emotions from the user experience point of view, focusing on the birth certificate of among other public documents issued by the government. In order to derive problems and supplements from the user's overall writing experience point of view, Keller's Motivational Behavior Construction Model was used. The process of writing the birth registration form creates recognition, reasoning, relationship, establishment, achievement, expectation. In order to more actively draw an emotional point of view, it is essential to set of information and to materialize the information experience. It is hoped that this will be a good guideline in the process of presenting a new perspective on information design and improving the experience.
