This paper analyses how China is likely to be able to sustain its current pace of growth. The results of analysis show that China's economic growth matches standard growth patterns identified by the models of economic development such as structural change, catching up model. Furthermore, China's economic growth, within these analytical frameworks, matches those of Korea at an earlier stage of her development. So Korea's growth patterns may well apply to the future of China such as the benefits of free society with economics and politics which generate technical progress and innovations. A country with a high innovative capacity is one whose institutions - educational, economic, political, legal, and so forth - allow it to dynamically and continually generate new products and services in a myriad of sectors. These are the way how China is likely to be able to sustain her economic development.

동아시아의 경제발전을 위한 공급망 경제의 발전모델을 수립하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 한국, 일본, 중국, 러시아 그리고 북한을 포함한 동아시아 경제발전의 현황을 파악하고 주요 문제점을 중심으로 하여 해결방안을 제시하고, 수년 내에 도래할 새로운 동아시아의 새로운 공급망 경제의 통합시대를 준비하고자 한다. 무게중심점기법으로 동아시아의 무게중심점을 찾고 시나리오 기법으로 공급망 경제의 발전전략과 방안을 연구하고자 한다.

The economic reform in China since 1978 has been increasingly sped up and deepened. The recent development of private enterprises, especially, has significant economic and political implications, whereas its regional differentiation has considerable impacts on both the development potential of certain regions and overall regional growth pattern. This study aims to understand the regional pattern of private enterprise growth as well as the institutional change which has structured the growth process. The development of private enterprises turned out to be closely tied to the marketization strategy of dual-track system and policy needs to reduce the unemployment level in both urban and 겨ral China. The regional pattern of the private enterprise growth can be characterized as ever-increasing spatial differentiation. Based on the basic statistical analysis results, it is argued that the private enterprise growth is closed related with the marketization level of the regional economy. Therefore, the strategy of developing private sector will be more important in shaping the regional development path as well as potential.

수자원 및 수도 시설과 같은 사회간접자본은 경제개발 초기 단계에 있어 매우 중요한 역할을 수행하여 왔다. 우리나라의 경제성장 과정에서 수자원 개발은 "한강의 기적"으로 불리며 한국 경제발전의 중요한 원동력 가운데 하나로 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 수자원개발의 경제적 효과를 정량적으로 분석하기 위하여 거시경제모형을 구축하고 실증분석하고자 한다. 이를 위해 1977-2014년 동안의 수자원 부문에 대한 자본 스톡을 추정하고 이를 바탕으로 경제성장과의 인과관계를 검정한다. 추정결과, 수자원 투자는 경제성장(GDP)으로의 단방향의 인과성이 존재함을 확인(1%유의 수준)하였다. 외생적 충격으로 수자원 투자가 감소하는 경우 국내 소득(GDP)에 부정적 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 시사하고 있다. 우리나라의 성공적인 수자원 개발과 경제 발전 경험은 많은 개도국에게 시사점을 제공할 것이다.

The combined heat-and-power (CHP) plant is recently suggested as an effective resolution in response to recent rising oil prices and the Kyoto Protocol. This research provides a model for economic appraisal to evaluate CHP investment. Real option model is developed to incorporate a case where the investment is irreversible and underlying revenue is stochastic. The analysis shows that power plant capacity more than 40 Gcal makes CHP investment profitable while the results may vary 10 modest level with respect to investment cost, heat sales price and discount rate.

지속적인 경제성장을 위한 기술정책방향은 다음과 같은 두 가지 경제적 환경변화를 고려해야 한다. 첫째, 신기술을 중심으로 하는 새로운 차세대성장산업을 창조함으로써, 지속적으로 우리나라 경제성장을 견인하는 “신기술중심의 경제성장정책기조”이다. 둘째, 신무역질서에서 우리나라 경제를 안정화시켜야 하는 정책기조와, 더 나아가 세계경제발전에 기여하는 “세계경제질서에서 대한민국경제위상확보정책기조”이다. 본 논고에서는 신기술발전과 신무역질서라는 연관관계에서 어떤 신성장 기술정책방향이 바람직한 것인지 알아보자. 이 연관분석을 위하여 우리나라 주요 교역국가를 중심으로 우리나라 신기술발전이 다른 무역대상국가에 어떤 경제적 영향을 미치며, 다른 주요 교역국가인 미국과 일본의 기술발전이 우리나라에 어떤 경제적 영향을 미치는지를 정량적으로 분석하였다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 간단한 국제무역환경을 고려한 기술정책방향에 대하여 제언하였다.
