This paper deals with the exchange of tourists and the operation of sightseeing train encouraged by the inter-Korean cross-border railway project. First of all, how the inter-Korean cross-border railway project has developed will be discussed. After this, the present tourism state, facilities, the state of railways and roads of North Korea, and major tourist attraction around the Kyonguisun will be shown. And then, several aspects on the agreements between the Korean National Railroad (KORAIL) and North Korean railroad system will be summarized. And, finally, the economic effect of the line including the operation schedule of the Kyonguisun sightseeing train, the demand forecast, the computation of railway fare, and profit sharing will be depicted.

반도체 재료의 결정구조를 분석하기 위하여 사용되는 전자현미경의 전자선 회절패턴 형성에 대하여 연구하였다. 결정질 재료의 회절현상을 논의하기 위해 역격자이론에 대하여 간단히 살펴보고 X선과 전자선 회절패턴의 차이점 등을 고찰하였다. 파동역학에 기초한 회절물리학의 운동학 이론(kinematic theory)을 기본으로 하여 실리콘 결정에 대한 구조인자(structure factor) 및 형태인자(shape factor)를 계산하고 회절패턴으로부터 면지수를 결정하는 과정을 논의하였다. Basic program을 구성하여 전자현미경의 입력 data로부터 해당 회절패턴을 형성하도록 하였으며 이 결과는 실제의 패턴과 일치하였다. 이 program은 추후 전자현미경의 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 위하여 중요하게 이용될 수 있을 것으로 판단되었다.

With the aim of promoting the use of metropolitan railways, the present research developed a mode choice model for evaluating its competitiveness against passenger cars. A case study was carried out with Gyeongeui and Joongang line, and the area of interest was the direct operating railway between Ilsan and Guri station where the two lines intersect. The mode choice model was a disaggregate behavior model which used Stated Preference (SP) survey data, and the plot of competition was between private passenger cars and express trains. As a result, the mode choice model was established, and this model was used to analyze characteristics of passengers' time value and elasticity. It was shown that reducing travel time is more efficient than reducing travel cost when it comes to operating express trains in metropolitan railways. Therefore, policies designed for activating the use of metropolitan railways should expand direct operating service of individual lines and run more express trains in order to minimize transfer and in-vehicle time.

This study examines the change of Shinchon railway station in Kyungui Railway from 1920 up to now. Kyungui Railway was constructed in order to prepare the war against Russia by Japan in 1905. Shinchon station was constructed in 1920 for the sake of convenience of people who lived near Seoul. Recently the development of Shinchon staton was demended because of the possibilities of economic development and the location of Shinchon station. But at the same time there are many opinions against the development of Shinchon station because it has many great memories and it is a kind of symbol of modem life in Shinchon. Even though Shinchon station has developed for a shopping center, the location of the old station has been kept. But the shape had changed because of the new railway station. So the purpose of this paper is considering how to solve the conflicts between the development and the preservation of historic places in the cities which is one of the most serious pending issues.
