사업장에 우수한 안전문화를 정착시키기 위한 필수요소는 무엇일까. 근로자들의 적극적인 참여, 원활한 노사관계, 경영진의 확고한 의지, 선진 안전기술 및 기업 등 다양한 요소가 있다. 이 모두가 무재해 사업장을 만드는 기본 틀이지만 그중에서도 '경영진의 안전의지'는 단연 사업장 안전활동의 성패를 결정짓는 핵심 요건이라고 할 수 있다. 실제 우수한 안전관리 체계가 갖추어진 사업장들을 보면, 공통적으로 경영진이 안전보건에 높은 관심을 가지고 있음을 확인할 수 있다. 지난해 말 열린 안전경영대상에서 최고상인 종합대상의 영예를 차지한 한국가스공사 인천기지본부 역시 이런 특징을 갖고 있다. 본부의 총책임자인 유두현 본부장이 굳건한 안전 신념으로 사업장 전반의 안전관리를 진두지휘하고 있는 것이다. 유 본부장을 만나 그의 경영방침과 철학 등에 대해 들어봤다.

Research and case study on implementing Knowledge Management (KM) in various fields have been published. However, KM could be misunderstood as developed Information Technology (IT) rather than a managerial tool to support knowledge creation in an organization unless the theoretical background on the evolution of KM is rigorously considered. This paper aims to review philosophy of science and managerial trends that can explain the reasons for introducing KM into the industry. Based on this theoretical background, Soft Systems Method (SSM), one of method to facilitate knowledge flows, are explained. SSM has been developed to cope with the characteristics of knowledge distinguished from data and information. Further research topics relevant to SSM in construction management as a practical application and educational tool are presented.

Q 방법은 인간의 태도와 행동을 연구하기 위해 철학적, 심리학적, 통계적, 그리고 심리측정과 관련된 개념을 통합한 방법론으로서 인간의 주관성을 정량적으로 분석할 수 있는 특수한 통계기법이다. 소비자의 인식, 가치, 태도, 신념과 같은 개념을 객관적으로 연구할 수 있는 방법으로서 가설 생성을 위한 탐색적 연구와 이론의 검증과 같은 확인적 연구에서도 적용될 수 있다. 많은 수의 표본을 대상으로 한 횡단적 R 방법에 비하여 개인이나 소집단에 대한 깊이 있는 탐구가 가능하다는 점에서 소비자 행동 연구에 유용성이 매우 높다. 개인의 주관성을 바탕으로 한 소비자 개인의 특성과 차별성을 이해하는 것이 마케팅 분야의 핵심을 이루고 있음에도 불구하고 그 동안 소비자의 주관성에 대한 깊이 있는 접근이 이루어지지 못하였다. 1935년에 심리학 분야에서 개발된 Q방법은 이를 분석할 수 있는 컴퓨터 패키지의 보급과 더불어 사회과학 전반에 걸쳐 그 활용이 확산되어 가고 있다. 이에 Q 방법의 과학철학적 특성과, 현재 널리 이용되고 있는 변수 중심의 R 방법과의 차이, 그리고 컴퓨터 분석을 포함한 구체적인 Q 분석방법 및 관리적 활용상의 문제점에 대해 논의하였다

Over the past 20 years, brain science has developed rapidly thanks to new technologies such as functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), leading to more accurate knowledge of human nature and behavioral changes. This knowledge is also actively applied in the field of management. This research aimed to gain insights into how neuroscience can be incorporated into management through the case of Midas IT Co. This construction software company has a separate organization with the purpose of studying brain science, and it makes and implements human resource management policies based on brain science. The founder Lee Hyung-woo has a humanist management philosophy, and the company's brain science research supports that philosophy. The case study method was adopted as the research method, and procedures such as interviews and direct observation, participation observation, and document information were carried out. The company's human resource management system can be explained by a brain science model called "SCARF", which combines various neuroscience discoveries. As this model suggests, the company has improved the trust and satisfaction of its members by reducing threat of status and by increasing certainty, autonomy, relationship, and fairness in the workplace, resulting in the creation of a platform for creativity, integrity, and high performance.

This study highlights the theme of human error emerging as a critical issue in the railroad industry, conducting exploratory research on the effects of health, cognition, and safety climates on safety behavior and accidents using an empirical method. The statistical results based on questionnaires received from 204 train drivers indicate that psychological fatigue, cognitive failure, and internal locus of control as individual variables and CEO philosophy and behavior of immediate boss as organizational variables have significant relationships with safety behavior, while cognitive failure, CEO philosophy, behavior of immediate boss, and education were found to be significant variables with respect to accidents. Furthermore, unsafe behavior such as mistakes and violations showed negative effects on near misses and responsibility accidents, respectively. Based on these results, effective alternatives and countermeasures needed to mitigate human error were posited.

논문의 내용에서는 21세기 초일류 기업을 위한 신경영기법의 종합적 접근방법을 논하고자 하였으며 지속적인 생산성 향상을 추구하는 기업의 생산 시스템을 세계수준급으로까지 발전시키는 비젼성에 관하여 논의하였다. TIFA란 생산성 향상을 위한 방법론이요, 생산방법의 개량이요, 인간을 위한 융통성 있는 생산 시스템이라고 했다. 하지만 그 생산방식에 인간중시, 인가존중의 휴면정신이 외면 당한다면, 그것은 결코 진정한 의미의 TIFA라고 말할 수 없다. TIFA란 생산현장, 산업근로자들의 신념과 긍지까지 현미경적 시각으로 발견, 연구해야 한다는 것이다. 즉, 진정한 TIFA란 생산성 향상을 위한 과학과 기술, 인간과 경영의 하모니로 시작되는 유연하고도 융통성 있는 생산 시스템이라고 정의한다.
