Newspapers on the Internet, so called Internet Newspapers, have appeared since 1995 in Korea and have provided the news contents for free. So the most of the revenues come from internet advertising. That business model has not become so profitable. Therefore, internet newspapers are forced to find better and stable paths to profitability. This paper provides a news contents-based integrated business model and the case study using two cases supports that business model

In this study, a simulation model is developed to analyze the effects of routing and scale-economy of transmission facilities on the traffic network topology and investment cost changes in a metropolitan telephone network. Computational experiments showed that the wide deployment of bifurcated routing in a dual-homing configuration reduces significantly the traffic network connectivity and the investment cost. Its enhanced version, when combined with the subscriber network cost model, can be used as a prototype cost proxy model for figuring out the access charges in a multi-operator environment.

Although there has been growing interests in outsourcing the logistics sectors in the industry, not much research was undertaken to provide the processes and standards in choosing the right 3PL for the company. In this research, we attempt to provide the 3PL selection criteria and its priority orders. We surveyed and interviewed the various industry experts and analyzed results using Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP). The study reveals that manufactures and logistics companies have different understanding of the selection criteria and priorities in outsourcing the 3PL.

본 연구에서는 먼저, 신규 투자 공장에서 생산되는 제품의 공정 특징을 만족할 수 있는 레이 아웃을 설계하였으며, 시뮬레이션을 이용하여 설계된 레이아웃에서 제품 타입별로 요구되는 생산 물량을 처리할 수 있는가를 평가하였다. 이를 위해 여러 대안의 제시 및 시뮬레이션 평가를 수행하였다. 본 연구의 결과 경제성을 고려한 신규 공장의 적절한 레이아웃 설계 및 운영 방안을 제시하였다.

The use of network planning models and tools is essential for effective KII (Korea Information Infrastructure) planning and analysis in that it will significantly reduce the risk and uncertainty embeded in the development and the provision of future broadband services. The purpose of this study is to develop a theoretical framework and a computer tool for modeling the various aspects of the KII topology and architecture and evaluating the techno-economic feasibility of the KII implementation strategy.

국내 양계산업은 초창기인 1960-70년대를 시작으로 비약적인 발전을 해 오고 있다. 많은 농가들이 자동화, 규모화를 이루면서 농가수는 점점 줄어드는 추세를 보이고 있다. 이런 시대적인 흐름 속에 양계업도 자연스럽게 2세에게 경영권이 넘어가는 현상이 두드러지게 나타나고 있다. 본고는 경기도 김포를 중심으로 모인 젊은 패기의 양계 2세들이 진취적이고 적극적으로 양계업을 꾸려나가고 있는 현장을 찾아 활동상황을 취재한 것이다.

All most factories producing briquets in Seoul are currently located at residential districts. The coal dusts scattered from these factories are making serious problems in living. To get rid of this environmental pollution, moving thesis factories to places of mining coals is considered now. For doing this project, first, annual briquet demands are forecasted using regression analysis and then, optimal factory capacities to be built are obtained based on forecast demands using LP. To validate factory capacities obtained above simulation is conducted using SLAM II.

Railroad line capacity is influenced by Quantitative and Qualitative factors which is applied by parameter to calculate it. But these parameters have been used experiential value without analyzing its reasonability or appropriate level. In this paper, we introduce the concept of robustness to Quantify parameter and evaluate robustness of it. For this purpose, we develop parameter evaluation simulator and present it. If this simulator is utilized, we can find the parameter having appropriate robustness and it will be applied to calculate more reasonable and systematic railroad line capacity.

This paper proposes a computer model for airline overbooking. The model is constructed in such as way that users feel easy to find the daily optimal number of additional customers given the reservations already bookded on that day by providing the appropriate cost of denied boarding. In this model, however, the reservations are restricted only up to 40 seats due to the limited P.C. capability. Heuristic approaches may be highly recommended for the larger number of reservations.
