The Spill-over Effects of Domestic Production of Light Rail Transit (경량전철 국산화의 경제적 파급효과)

  • This paper presents theoretical explanations about the spill-over effects of domestic production of light rail transit and empirically investigates its effects on output, value-added and employment in the Korean economy. We distinguish net gains of domestic production from gross effects that bring about whether localized or imported cars are used. The input-output analysis is employed to fully capture the interaction among various industries involved. The empirical results reveal that net gains of domestic production such as import substitution, improvement of trade balances, and increase in output, value-added and employment are enormous. The cost reduction in construction, E&M systems, cars, management, and tariff and transportation is also significant.

  • 본 연구는 '선도기술개발사업' 중 최고운행속도 350㎞의 한국형 고속전철 시스템개발 및 관련 핵심기술 확보를 사업 목표로 하는 '한국형 고속전칠 기술개발 사업' 연구과제의 하나로 수행된 과제이며, 한국형 고속전철에 적용하기 위한 한국인의 정서와 체형에 적합한 한국형 경량 Seat 개발을 목적으로 하였다. 경량 Seat 개발을 위한 기초기술 연구로서 인간공학적 Seat 설계기술 개발, 경량 소재 개발, 구조물 접합기술 개발, 난연소재 개발, A/V 내장기술 개발 등의 연구를 수행하였고, 그 결과를 토대로 하여 경량 Seat의 Prototype 설계와 검증을 실시하였으며, Mock Up Seat를 제작하였다.

  • Nowadays, Light railway system is attracted public attention as solution for metropolitan traffic congestion. But it is difficult to decide an appropriate light railway system. It is especially hard in the Seoul metropolitan to decide an appropriate system, because there are many factors that must considered. So we research application status of light railway system that is scheduled or promoted in the Korea and the foreign nations. And we selected systems by types of city. In this paper, we divided into 6 types of city through factor analysis and cluster. And we considered various factor such as technology, transportation, environment etc that used previous research and feasibility study. To determine the priority among the factors, AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) was applied as a method for multi-standard decision method.

  • 본 논문은 경량전철차량시스템의 출입문장치에 주어진 목표신뢰도를 바탕으로 출입문장치 구성품별 목표신뢰도를 정의하였으며 출입문 구성품의 목표신뢰도 배분은 출입문의 설계 및 유지보수과정에서 발견된 문제점을 분석하여 작성되었다. 또한 경량전철차량 출입문을 설계, 제작 및 유지보수에 필요한 지침을 마련하였다.

  • 체계적이고 효율적인 경량전철시스템 건설 및 운영을 위해 시스템엔지니어링(SE) 기술의 적용은 필수적인 활동이 되었다. 이에 따라 사업수행과정에서 다양한 요구사항과 위험요소를 적기에 식별하고 조치하는 시스템엔지니어링 인력의 전문성이 매우 중요하게 고려되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 경량전철 시스템엔지니어링 사업과 관련된 이해관계자들(획득자 및 공급자, 그리고 협력업체 등)을 위한 SE 교육교재를 개발하여 사업수행 전 및 수행과정에서 활용할 수 있도록 하였다. 교육교재는 일반(공통)과정, 수행자(실무자)과정, 심화수행자(관리자)과정)으로 구분하여 개발하였다. 이는 경량전철사업의 성공과 우수한 성과 창출을 위해 중요한 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다.

Serviceability Assessment of a K-AGT Test Bed Bridge Using FBG Sensors (광섬유 센서를 이용한 경량전철 교량의 사용성 평가)

  • Among many types of light rail transits (LRT), the rubber-tired automated guide-way transit (AGT) is prevalent in many countries due to its advantages such as good acceleration/deceleration performance, high climb capacity, and reduction of noise and vibration. However, AGT is generally powered by high-voltage electric power feeding system and it may cause electromagnetic interference (EMI) to measurement sensors. The fiber optic sensor system is free from EMI and has been successfully applied in many applications of civil engineering. Especially, fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensors are the most widely used because of their excellent multiplexing capabilities. This paper investigates a prestressed concrete girder bridge in the Korean AGT test track using FBG based sensors to monitor the dynamic response at various vehicle speeds. The serviceability requirements provided in the specification are also compared against the measured results. The results show that the measured data from FBG based sensors are free from EMI though electric sensors are not, especially in the case of electric strain gauge. It is expected that the FBG sensing system can be effectively applied to the LRT railway bridges that suffered from EMI.

  • To increase the demand of HR Plate with thickness up to 22mm, it is necessary that HR Plate is applicable to full member in steel bridge including main girder. In this study, availabilities of the narrow steel box girder of light railway transit with HR Plate width as a main member are discussed. Computational analysis is performed in 15 bridge models of light railway transit with beam element and plate element. As an analysis results, three models in tight railway transit are presented. In conclusion, it is validated that HR Plate can be applying to narrow steel box girder in the light railway transit.

  • Before 2010, assignments proposed by government caused inconvenience of users(operation institutions & customers) as performing that National research organization suggested requirements from private organizations to special institutes, but now the institution of assignments is improving to reflect opinions from the present users. This is a study on methods for drawing a task of Rolling stock's core parts & enhancing of Urban Railway/Light Railway Transit. The definition of multiple stakeholders(local government, operation institution, research organization, academic world, the industrial world, etc.) related to rolling stock of urban railway/Light railway transit, experts in rolling stock and the application for designing of question items verified and designed through Delphi technique for objectivity, justness and fairness. Also, it is to draw a conclusion of assignments through a study on methods for drawing a task of Rolling stock's core parts & enhancing of Urban Railway/Light Railway Transit as sharing a process of assignments and integrating opinions of each stakeholder of urban railway/light railway transit.

  • Light rail is an electric railway system, characterized by its ability to operate single or multiple car consists (trains) along exclusive rights-of-way at ground level, on aerial structures, in subways or in streets, able to board and discharge passengers at station platforms or at street, track, or car-floor level and normally powered by overhead electrical wires. Depending upon the specific system, the light rail lends some major advantages to urban settings. The evaluation of light rail technology as a potential component of regional transit systems has been the subject of extensive studies throughout the country in the past decade. For the study, feasibility was defined as "the ability of an LRT system to achieve certain level of transportation market in comparison with other transportation alternatives." This paper describes the feasibility study to evaluate a proposed light rail development project. The minimum are those LRT systems that would met to make a project feasible for further evaluation.

Development of Dynamic Simulator for Light Rail Transit Depot (경량전철 차량기지 동적 시뮬레이터 개발)

  • Recently, in the era of low carbon and green growth, the importance of railway transportation is being emphasized However, there is a lack of research on simulation for railway depot. This paper presents the development of the dynamic simulator for LRT(Light Rail Transit) depot. This study presents explanations of requirement analysis, architecture, database design, simulation algorithm, and design and development of the simulation tool. The dynamic LRT depot simulation tool consists of four modules; a Network Editor to create and modify information regarding railroad, train, signal, turnout, job and station, a Simulator to calculate train movement algorithm, a Reporter to show simulation results in table and graphs, and an Animator to animate simulation results dynamically. It is hoped that this study on general details of structure, design and development of LRT depot dynamic simulator will perform as a good reference to future development of new simulation tools.
