Design and Implementation of Realtime 3D Sight Simulation System on Internet (인터넷상에서 실시간 3차원 경관시뮬레이션 시스템의 설계 및 구현)

  • Recent simulation tools combine the 3-dimensional graphic technique to implement the 3D visualization of the objects in the 2-Dimensional computer display. In this paper, a sight simulation tool is implemented using the recent 3D techniques. The proposed sight simulator can be applied to improve the human environment with the harmony of the nature. The system is consisted of modules for topography, object, and navigation. A sight database for the sight elements(objects) is implemented using Java. Combined with Java, VRML, which is considered as the standard for 3D virtual reality in the Internet is used to implement EAI(External Authoring Interface). EAI allows the users to communicate with a VRML scene.

A Study on the Coastal Forest Landscape Management Considering Parallax Effect in Gangneung (패럴랙스 효과를 고려한 강릉 해안림의 경관 관리에 관한 연구)

  • This paper proposes a management method for a coastal black pine forest landscape considering the parallax effect. For the study, 10 coastal black pine forests in Gangneung were investigated about the average width of the coastal forests, the average diameters, and the intervals of the pines. Categorizations were realized for the 3 types of scene(sea, field, mountain, residential area, commercial area), diameter(16cm, 22cm, 28cm) and interval(5m, 7m, 10m) to produce a total of 45 scenic simulations. An investigation was made on the scenic preferences using 45 simulation images with S.D, and Likert Scales. The results were as follows: According the comparison of scenic preferences, natural landscapes(sea, field, and mountain) ranked high among preferences, with fabricated landscapes(residential area, commercial area) ranked low. The highest scenic preferences were shown with the seascape and an interval of 7m between the trees. On the contrary, the interrelationship was very low between the visual quantity of the scenic's elements(green, sky, building, road etc.) and the scenic preferences. As the results of the factor analysis, the 3 sense factors of "Depth(78.0%)" "Diversity(l5.6%)" and "Spatiality(6.4%)" explained coastal scenic preferences. "Spatiality" showed significant differences at intervals of 5~7m, and 10m between trees. This shows coastal forest management based on the interval of 10m standard affecting scenic preference.

Preference Factor Analysis of Greening Plan for Under Space of Elevated Rail Track Considering Cognitive Psychological Characteristics (심리적 인지특성을 고려한 교량하부 녹화유형별 선호요인 분석)

  • This study presents a greening plan for the under space of elevated rail tracks to reducing landscape impairment and improve the streetscape. This study focuses on a section of the Daegu Metro line number 3 that includes a concentration of high-rise apartments and commercial areas. First, different types of planting were categorized for the under space of the elevated rail track, and then images of each planting type were created using a 3D simulation tool to evaluate the visual characteristics. The landscape images and related adjectives were assessed using a survey. As a result, rows of flower trees received the highest evaluation, and 'harmony' was identified as the most important factor affecting the railscape preference. These results can be important data for establishing an efficient greening plan for the under space of elevated rail tracks.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide the visual landscape modelling on Josun royal tombs and surrounding. The visual landscape of traditional heritage is illustrated by the main view points of analysis. This analysis examines limited view points and cannot reflect a reality of environments. Nowadays various equipments and methodologies are developed for the visual landscape research. This study used new tools for analysis which are Sketch up (3D simulation) and mini helicopter (UAV). With those tools, this research examines not only view points of the analysis but also axis views and disincentive environments as a complex analysis. First of all, the research examined 3D modelling for the virtual simulation and drew coordinates and routes for the UAV operating. Secondly, UAV followed this routes and took linear and continuous views that are real scenes. As a result, it drew 3D simulation could illustrate and control the changing of environments such as the forest density and seasonal variations. Thus, comparing both of them shows efficiently landscape analysis. Thirdly, the study compared virtual and real landscape. Using this 3D modelling, this paper able to elaborate heritage environment and surrounding which omitted by view point analysis. Although this study has limitation practice and exercise on the field, the results and suggestions contribute to the various historic heritage managements and conservations. Moreover, it helps to explain the complex and dimensional landscape analysis.

The Study for Improvement Method of Landscape Simulation Program (경관시뮬레이션 프로그램 개선방안에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the problems of the currently used 3D spatial information utilization system to realize a more accurate landscape and to establish a user-oriented environment to improve the utilization plan for future landscape evaluation. As citizens' interest in urban landscapes with strong public characteristics increases and the speed of urban development also increases, more suitable simulation methods for landscape management are required. Nevertheless, there are many cases of inconvenient correction according to development changes along with many errors in various steps for creating landscape simulation. Therefore, in performing landscape deliberation according to development, it is necessary to create more accurate and efficient landscape simulation, and if changes occur after the initial deliberation, a process that can quickly and conveniently correct and supplement data is needed. In addition, it is necessary to create landscape simulation so that the created modeling source can be used by being compatible with other application programs. In this study, a method of constructing a more accurate and efficient simulation at the time of initial deliberation and a method of creating a landscape simulation model for rapid response to a plan that is changed at the time of re-deliberation are described.

근린공원 야간 보행 안전을 위한 조명 품질의 시뮬레이션 비교 연구

  • 야간 조명은 건강과 복지에 대한 인간의 욕구를 야간시간의 활용을 통하여 충족시킬 수 있도록 도와주고 있다. 또한 조명은 경관의 활성화와 미적 공간 창출의 유용한 도구로 이용되고 있어 근린공원에서의 조명은 주간과 다른 분위기를 제공하여 이용자들의 만족도를 높여주고 있다. 하지만 위험 요인을 가지고 있는 공원에서는 심미적 효과뿐만 아니라 이용자들의 보행 안전을 위한 야간 조명설계의 중요성이 강조된다. 본 연구는 야간 근린공원 이용자들의 보행 안전을 고려한 조명설계를 위하여 시뮬레이션 접근법을 이용하여 대안 조명품질을 비교한다. 기존에 설치된 조명기구와 타 조명기구를 시뮬레이션으로 비교함으로써 조명설계시 시뮬레이션 접근법의 유용성을 제안한다.

Sensibility Image and Preference Analysis of Street Tree Species using 3D Simulation - Focused on Tongdaeguro in Daegu Metropolitan City - (3차원 시뮬레이션을 활용한 가로수종별 이미지 및 선호도 분석 - 대구광역시 동대구로를 대상으로 -)

  • In this study, species and seasonal scenery image were made using 3D simulation modeling to evaluate emotional image of street trees in the roads cape. Study site are set in Tongdaeguro, located in Daegu Metropolitan City and Cedrus deodara, Metasequoia glyptostroboides, Liriodendron tulipifera L., and Zelkova serrata were selected to evaluate the species. In the survey result, it appears that Zelkova serrata is the highest preference for summer landscape and Metasequoia glyptostroboides is the highest preference for fall and winter landscape. With regard to the factor analysis, in order to derive emotional evaluation factor, aesthetic factor, perception factor, individuality factor, natural factor, and spatial factor were derived and aesthetic factor is the greatest impact for preference common in all seasons. Preference and positive emotional image of Metasequoia glyptostroboides is evaluated as the highest in the winter and the aesthetic factor score reduction is less than the other species. This study will be used in offering objective data and landscape planning for making comfortable roads cape through the quantitative evaluation as each species and seasonal changes.

A Comparative Review on Building Height Regulations Using GIS Simulation (GIS Simulation을 이용한 건축높이 규제 방안의 비교검토)

  • This study reviewed different results according to the selection of viewpoints and considerations of the neighborhood in the analysis of view to regulate the height of buildings. To do this, 4 cases were set according to the analytical methodology and a GIS simulation was performed. Characteristics of each methodology were compared and analyzed by simulated values with ANOVA(analysis of variance) and post-hoc analysis. First, the method using moving viewpoints was found to be appropriate for the regulation of building height as it could reflect basic characteristics of landscape which was sequential and it did not show big difference in analysis result according to situational setting. Second, the method using grid viewpoints showed a problem that viewpoints at left and right sides viewed ridges of other mountains than the background mountains of the target land. Additionally, the simulation method that induces three-dimensional cross-sections between multiple sight-surface and virtual construction points created at viewpoints used in this study was found to be useful in the simulation review with various settings as it induced the marginal height of the spot quantitatively.

  • A landscape represents a part of the local environmental characteristics consisting of nature, artificial factors, and human living condition, and is now emerging as the very important factor in the development and conservation of national land. However, due to the rapid economic growth and development-based land businesses during the past, environment-friendly and nature-friendly development was not realized so that the development considering the landscape of downtowns and highlands was not achieved as well. Thus, in this study, targeting the area in which development and rehabilitation are being Intelligent Spatial Data, and through the three-dimensional simulation before and after the development and rehabilitation, realistic landscape impact could be analyzed and the consequential problems by the development and rehabilitation were easily figured out.
