A styrene solution of waste expanded polystyrene with a crosslinking agent and an initiator was used as a binder for waste wood-plastic composite panels. The waste wood-plastic composite panels are prepared with various binder contents and filler-binder ratios by using a hot press molding method. The apparent density of the composite panels is increased with increasing binder content and filler-binder ratio, while their water absorption and expansion in thickness are decreased with increasing binder content and filler-binder ratio. The maximum flexural strength and wet flexural strength of the composite panels are obtained at a binder content of 35% and a filler-binder ratio of 0.8. Decreases in the flexural strengths of the composite panels due to water immersion at 20 and $100^{\circ}C$ are hardly recognized at binder contents of 30% or more.

In this study, the properties of no-fines polymer concrete with different polymer binder contents were evaluated. The polymer concrete was formulated using a polymeric binder (unsaturated polyester resin), fly ash, and recycled coarse aggregate (60%) and crushed coarse aggregate (40%). The polymeric binder content (4.0-6.0wt.%) was used as an experimental variable because it dramatically affects both the cost-effectiveness and material properties. The results showed that the density, compressive strength, flexural strength both before and after exposure to freezing and thawing increased as the polymer binder content increased, while the absorption, void ratio, permeable voids, coefficient of permeability, and acid resistance (mass loss by acid attack) decreased as the polymeric binder content increased. In particular, even though the void ratio was 18.4% and the water permeability coefficient was 7.3mm/sec, the compressive strength and flexural strength were as high as 38.0MPa and 10.0MPa, respectively, much more significant than those of previous studies. Other properties such as absorption and acid resistance were also found to be excellent. The results appear to be rooted in the increased adhesion of the binder by adding a cross-linking agent and the surface hydrophobicity of the polymer.

This study determined the optimum mix proportions for volcanic-ash-based geopolymer by analyzing the flow, setting time, and compressive strength. $Na2SiO_3$ and NaOH were used as alkali activators, and NaOH concentrations of 2, 4, 6, and 8M were used for different experimental cases. The A/B ratios examined were 0.25, 0.3, 0.35, 0.4, and 0.45, and the ratios of volcanic ash to blast furnace slag binder were 7:3, 6:4, and 5:5. In the experiment, the flow and setting time tended to decrease and the compressive strength increased as the molarity of NaOH in the geopolymer increased. The optimum molarity of NaOH was determined to be 4M. As the A/B ratio increased, the setting time decreased and the compressive strength increased. The most advantageous A/B ratio for the setting time and strength was 0.35. Increasing the ratio of volcanic ash resulted in a longer setting time and lower compressive strength. The optimum binder ratio was chosen as 6:4 based on the setting time and compressive strength. Thus, 4M of NaOH, an A/B ratio of 0.35, and binder ratio of 6:4 are considered as the proper parameters for the volcanic-ash-based geopolymer.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the optimal mix design of the sound absorption material that is made from perlite and various binder systems for noise barrier wall. The polymer cement slurry which is made from two types of polymer dispersions, and silicone type inorganic material are used as binder. The test specimens are prepared with various polymer cement ratios, binder ratios, and tested for strengths, freezing and thawing and sound absorption performance by the tube and the reverberation room methods. From the test results, the difference of sound absorption coefficient by the tube method is a little recognized, however, noise reduction coefficient (NRC) of test specimens bound by the polymer cement slurry is in the ranges of 0.48 to 0.51. They are a little higher than those bound by cement only, and are lower values than recommended value of 0.7 by the Ministry of Environment. However, the sound absorption coefficient of test specimens at low frequency range of 250 to 500 Hz by reverberation room method shows very high values as 0.84 to 1.00, and 0.57 to 0.77 at the high frequency. The test specimens with polymer cement slurry binder have a good balance between performance and cost, and have proper properties in strengths, freezing and thawing resistance as sound absorption material for noise barrier wall. It is apparent that the good sound absorption material can be produced according to the optimum mix design that is recommended from this study.

In this paper, we propose the effective implementation of various nonlinear combiners using by PS-LFSR: m-parallel memoryless-nonlinear combiner, m-parallel memory-nonlinear combiner, m-parallel nonlinear filter function, and m-parallel clock-controlled function. Finally, we propose m-parallel LILI-128 stream cipher as an example of the parallel implementation, and we determine its cryptographic security and performance.
In this study, the problem of existing soil pavement is a long-term durability lack and crack occurrence. It complements in order to develop the environmental soil pavement material which composites readily blended mineral binder of liquid and decomposed granite soils. It was estimated optimal mixture proportion for unconfined compressive strength, permeability, $Cr^{6+}$detection test, SEM test with age, freezing and thawing test. It resulted mixture proportion of powder types mineral binder for rates of cement : fly ash : plaster was optimal rates of 50 : 33 : 7, and $Cr^{6+}$detection test as a result was a slight production. SEM test with 3days as a result was made Ettringite. It was found that this material was early development of early-strength for chemical. This study indicated that it will execute field appliciability Evaluation test, examination of soil pavement method with decomposed granite soils and mineral binder.

Silica fume is generally adopted as admixture for Ultra High Strength Concrete (UHSC) owing to its remarkable contribution to the strength and durability but increases significantly the fabrication cost of UHSC. Accordingly, this study investigates the replacement of silica fume by blast furnace slag (BS) and fly ash (FA) in order to lower the fabrication cost of 80MPa-UHSC. To that goal, experiment is conducted on the mix proportions of mortar in terms of its binder combination, water-to-binder ratio (W/B) and unit binder content. Based on the experimental data, a mix design of concrete is derived and its properties are verified. The results reveal that a W/B of 21% and unit binder content of $720kg/m^3$ are appropriate to achieve 80MPa-UHSC using a binder composed of 60% of OPC, 30% of BS and 10% of FA. The properties of the corresponding UHSC are seen to be satisfactory with a slump flow of 715mm and compressive strength of 97MPa at 28days. The application of the binder combination derived in this study is analyzed to reduce the cost by 50% of binder compared to the mix using silica fume while realizing equivalent performance.

This study aims to propose a performance metric for the application of a horizontal air-exhausting system to be used for the reduction of vapor and/or moisture that exists in the waterproof layer, by evaluating the physical properties. For this reason, tests in accordance with current standards were carried out, and the results were examined. Finally, a proposal was established for a general performance metric that could be applied as fundamental data based on the user's judgment. This has some limitations, in that the object is existing merchandise, however it should be useful for application in the construction field. In the future, analysis of a wider area, including workability, should be added in the phase of field application.

Metakaolin is a cementitious material for producing high-strength concrete. This material is now used as substitute for silica-fume. In this paper, we did the mechanical and durability test such as compressive/tensile/flexural strength test, chloride ion diffusion, chemical attack and repeated freezing and thawing, carbonation test. In the mechanical tests, 10~15% for binder is optimum substitute rate. And, in the chloride ion diffusion test, according to the increase of substitute of metakaolin & silica-fume for binder, the diffusion coefficient was more reduced. In the chemical attack test, by the filler effect of fine powder such metakaolin and silica-fume, the resistance is more excellent than normal concrete. In the other durability test, the concrete using metakaolin also compared with those of silica-fume substitute concrete. Through these tests, we recognized that metakaolin can be used as a substitute for silica-fume.
For the development of the environment-friendly insulating composite materials, natural cellulose (wood chip and sawdust) was used as a core material and activated Hwangtoh was used as a binder. Various specimens were prepared with the water/binder ratio and natural cellulose/binder ratio. The physical properties of these specimens were then investigated through compressive and flexural strength test, absorption test, hot water resistance test, thermal conductivity, measurement of pore distribution and observation of micro-structures using scanning electron microscope (SEM). Results showed that the absorption ratio increased with the increase of natural cellulose/binder ratio but decreased remarkably with the increase of polymer/binder ratio. The compressive and flexural strength development varied appreciably with the increase of water/binder ratio and natural cellulose/binder ratio. On the other hand, thermal conductivity decreased with the increase of natural cellulose/binder ratio and polymer/binder ratio. Through SEM, it was found that activated Hwangtoh that reacted with water formed a hydrate crystal leading to the compact structure and the total pore volume of the specimen using activated Hwangtoh was smaller than that of the non-activated Hwangtoh.
