The Korean Stock Market Surveillance System : Changes in Volatility Before and After Surveillance Designation (한국의 감리종목 제도 : 감리지정 전.후의 변동성 비교)

  • The Korean Stock Market Surveillance System is desinged to control the volatility of stocks by drawing investor's attention and suppressing disguised demand, when stocks run up so rapidly in short period of time. Yet the Surveillance System has not been under empirical examination about its role and evolved in line with the Price Limit System. This study looks at the security returns under surveillance designation for 1995 -2001 period. The results indicate that the volatility of stocks has not been affected after surveillance designation. The constraints against the disguised demand, however, seems to limit the security returns rather than volatilities. These findings raises a question about the role of The Korean Stock Market Surveillance System for the control of volatility. The Surveillance System needs to be examined thoroughly about its role, function, and its conditions. Otherwise, the shareholders with less information could be placed at a disadvantage. This paper suggests that the system should be amended in an effort to make the volatility of stocks under control.

The Impact of Family-Friendly Corporate Culture on Employees' Behavior (가족친화적 기업문화가 근로자의 행동에 미치는 영향)

  • This study investigates the effects of family-friendly corporate policies on employees' job satisfaction, quality of life, organizational commitment, and turnover intention. Data was collected using a self-administered questionnaire from medium sized manufacturing company during the summer of 2017 and received 295 useful responses. The data was analyzed using the multiple and simple regressions. The results showed that the effects of family-friendly corporate policies were significantly positive from the employee's perspective. The employees' awareness of the family-friendly policy was positively correlated with their job satisfaction, quality of life, and organizational commitment, but it was negatively associated with turnover intention. It should be noted that the boss' support at work showed the insignificant effect on the family friendly policy awareness and this result was very different from the previous study. The study concludes that companies as well as employees benefit from family-friendly policies. The study that in order to create a family-friendly corporate culture, the company should not only introduce the policy to employees but also provide the support and atmosphere for the employees to utilize the family-friendly policy easily, and to establish a companywide support policy, organizational practitioners should find the way family-friendly policies to be rooted in the organization.

  • 저영향개발(Low Impact Development, LID) 시설들은 미국 일본 등 선진국을 중심으로 관련법에 따라 개발 및 적용 되어왔으나 국내에서는 최근에서야 LID 시설을 적용할 수 있는 제도적인 틀을 구축하고 있는 실정이며, 국내 여건에 맞는 LID 시설을 개발하여 그 효용성을 검증하기 까지는 상당한 시간이 소요될 것으로 판단된다. 서울시는 2014년 '서울특별시 빗물관리에 관한 조례 전부개정조례'를 발표함으로써 한국형 LID 시설을 대단위로 적용 하고 검증 할 수 있는 발판을 마련하였다. 서울시의 2014년 전부개정조례에 따르면 시장 및 구청장은 저영향개발 계획 수립의 실효성 확보를 위하여 저영항개발 사전협의 제도를 마련하여 시행하여야 하며, 시장은 저영향개발 지구단위계획을 수립하여야 한다. 이에 따라, 본 연구에서는 실제로 적용 가능한 투수포장 주차장을 설계 할 수 있도록 투수 주차장형 LID 시설을 검증할 수 있는 투수효율성 검증실험단지를 설계 및 구축 하였다. 과거 도심의 우수배제는 중앙 집중형 시스템으로 단기간에 우수를 차집하여 배제하는 방식이었으나, 근래에는 집중형 우수배제 시스템의 위험성, 경제성 그리고 용량한계 등 여러 가지 문제점이 부각되면서 분산형 시스템으로의 전환이 이루어지고 있다. 물순환도시 및 지속가능한 도시 등이 분산형 우수배제 시스템의 예이며, 주차장, 도로, 건물 등 불투수 표면으로부터의 우수를 지면으로 침투 및 침루시키는 방법 등을 활용하여 건전한 물순환을 꾀하고 있다. 침투 및 침루 능력은 각각 포장체 및 포장면 하부구조의 재료와 밀접한 관련이 있으며 재료의 선정은 하부구조의 안정성 확보를 고려하여 선택되어야 한다. 또한 우수 배제를 위한 유공관은 접합점에서 강도를 유지하면서 효율적으로 유수를 배제할 수 있어야 하며, 저류조 설치는 강수의 활용목적에 맞게 선정되어야 한다. 이러한 투수 주차장형 LID 시설은 하나의 시스템으로서 포장체의 재료에 따른 공학적 성질, 하부구조 구축방법 및 재료 선정 그리고 유공관 배열 등에 따라 그 시스템의 거동이 변화하므로 기존에 행해왔던 단순 재료실험으로는 투수성 주차장의 우수배제 시스템을 평가할 수 없다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이를 검증할 수 있는 투수효율성 검증실험단지 설계 및 구축하였다.

Application of C Language Based Cryptographic Module with KCMVP in Java Environment (C언어로 개발된 검증필 암호모듈을 자바환경에서 활용하기 위한 방안)

  • Due to recent arise of cybercrime, importance of cyber security is highlighted more than ever. Korean government has been running Korea Cryptographic Module Validation Program, namely KCMVP, to validate security level of cryptographic modules for public organizations: indeed, many are achieving the validation. According to the program, operating environments for any specific cryptographic module are fixed. In other words, running validated module in other software environment is strictly prohibited. However, this paper asserts that it is possible for a C language based module to operate in Java based environment as long as the module is running on a validated environment. We expect this paper to help saving great amount of money and time for developing another cryptographic modules for the same operating environment. Also, this method will provide an idea for developing faster modules.

  • As the Information and Communication Technology developed, the administration computerization of the government was promoted, and cyber attacks targeting IT products are spreading all over the world due to the reverse functions. Accordingly, governments in each country have begun to verify the security in the introduction of IT products by national and public institutions in order to protect information, and established the policy required in the introduction process. This research analyzes the introduction policy of domestic IT products to identify the supplement point. In addition, we analyze trends of introduction of IT products in the major developed countries such as USA, UK, Japan, Canada, and Australia. Finally, we propose the improvement method of domestic introduction policy through comparison analysis with domestic introduction policy.

  • The purpose of this study is to present and identify the relationship for the effects of performance-based human resource practices on the organizational effectiveness with focusing on small and medium-sized enterprises around Shandong province of China. The performance-based human resource practice factors include selective employment system, education training system, evaluation system, compensation system and the career promotion ladder opportunity system. As a result, among ten hypotheses, six hypotheses turned out to be the meaningful approaches. In addition there exist some human factors that interfere with the fairness of the evaluation due to the regional and personal factors, assessment system difference among firms. Finally the compensation system and organizational investment for increasing or decreasing will critically affect the enthusiasm of the staff members of firms, and the less invested for thema, the greater the likelihood of their turnovers.

The Ex-ante and Ex-post Effects of the Price Stabilization Policies on IPO underpricing in KOSDAQ Markets (유가증권 시장조성제도가 코스닥IPO시장의 사전적 및 사후적 저평가에 미친 영향)

  • The price stabilization policies which require the underwriters to maintain post-IPO prices at some level (stabilization duty) or give put-back options to investors, have survived for eight years until June, 2006. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of price stabilization policies upon IPO underpricing in KOSDAQ. The study decomposes the influence of the price stabilization policies on IPO underpricing into ex-ante and ex-post effect. The price stabilization policies have shown to increase the IPO underpricing both at ex-ante and ex post bases. And the ex-ante effect is greater than ex-post effect. Among policies, the price stabilization duty magnifies the underpricing more than put-back option. This study differentiate from the precedented studies by including the whole period in which those policies are in act and by decomposing the IPO underpricing effects into ex-ante and ex-post bases.

  • Industrial facilities are becoming bigger and more up to date, And a kind of the hazardous material used in the industrial filed is diversified. Therefore, serious accidents such as leakage of toxic materials, fire and explosion, is continuously occurred. There is Process Safety Management (PSM) system of the several preventive systems, but it is supposed to be a limitation to ensure safety or huge PSM industrial sites where have potential to catastrophically invisible and unexpected risks because it is still being managed by instruction and inspection of authority having jurisdiction other than self-regulating management differing from the primarily aim of PSM system. To verify safety management system of work-place, supplementation of existing system is urgently required. In this study, it suggests that PSM self-audit be emphasized significantly analyzing problems of the current systems for enhancing self-audit be emphasized significantly analyzing problems of the current systems for enhancing self-control safety through efficient self-audit management and improving the existing system and improving the existing as verifying the system there of, as well as studying methods which can support institutionally.
