Estimation of Probability Rainfall considering Test for Outliers in Korea (이상치검정을 고려한 국내 확률강우량 산정)

  • 본 연구에서는 확률강우량 산정을 위한 빈도해석 시 보다 타당하고, 신뢰도 높은 강우자료를 선정하여 수공구조물 설계 및 재난방재계획에 합리적인 기준을 제시하고자 이상치 적용에 따른 확률강우량을 산정 비교하였다. 이상치검정의 비교를 위하여 Grubbs and Beck 방법과 미국 수자원평의회 방법을 적용하였으며, 적용결과에 따라 강우자료를 조정하여 확률강우량을 산정 비교하여 타당성을 검토하였다. 본 연구의 수행으로 이상치검정에 따라 강우자료 년수에 변화가 있었으며, 기존의 방법과 확률강우량을 비교하였을 때, 증감이 나타났다.

Statistical significance test of polynomial regression equation for Huff's quartile method of design rainfall (설계강우량의 Huff 4분위 방법 다항회귀식에 대한 유의성 검정)

  • For the design of hydraulic structures, the design flood discharge corresponding to a specific frequency is generally used by using the design storm calculated according to the rainfall-runoff relationship. In the past, empirical equations such as rational equations were used to calculate the peak flow rate. However, as the duration of rainfall is prolonged, the outflow patterns are different from the actual events, so the accuracy of the temporal distribution of the probability rainfall becomes important. In the present work, Huff's quartile method is used for the temporal distribution of rainfall, and the third quartile is generally used. The regression equation for Huff's quadratic curve applies a sixth order polynomial equation because of its high accuracy throughout the duration of rainfall. However, in statistical modeling, the regression equation needs to be concise in accordance with the principle of simplicity, and it is necessary to determine the regression coefficient based on the statistical significance level. Therefore, in this study, the statistical significance test for regression equation for temporal distribution of the Huff's quartile method, which is used as the temporal distribution method of design rainfall, is conducted for 69 rainfall observation stations under the jurisdiction of the Korea Meteorological Administration. It is statistically significant that the regression equation of the Huff's quartile method can be considered only up to the 4th order polynomial equation, as the regression coefficient is significant in most of the 69 rainfall observation stations.

  • For clinical trials, it is common to compare the placebo and new drug. The method of calculating a sample size for two independent populations are the t-test that is used for parametric methods, and the Wilcoxon rank-sum test that is used in the non-parametric methods. In this paper, we propose a method that is using Kim's (1994) statistic power based on the linear placement statistic, which was proposed by Orban and Wolfe (1982). We also compare the sample size for the proposed method with that for using Wang et al. (2003)'s sample size formula which is based on Wilcoxon rank-sum test, and with that of t-test for parametric methods.

  • 본 연구는 서울시에 분포되어 있는 1급 건축설계사무소중 34개소에서 122명의 건축설계 종업원을 대상으로 건축설계사무소의 규모에 따른 종업원들의 직업에 대한 만족도, 사기가치관 작업조건에 대한 태도등의 심리학적 변화도를 조사하였다. 이상의 사항에 대한 자료는 규모에 따라 3그룹으로 분류하여 Chi-Test와 T-Test 검정법에 의하여 설계사무소 규모별 각종변수들의 상이점을 분석 확인하였다. 결론에서 종업원들의 권익보호 동기유발 사기확장등에 관한 문제점의 해결방안과 기업의 확대와 안전성을 위한 이상적인 조직형태에 대한 모델을 제시하였다.

  • Because strong urban earthquakes must produce huge losses of both life and property, examinations about the effect of huge earthquakes for tall buildings are very required. The goal of this report is examining model safety and compare the behavior of 2-D tall models under huge seismic loads. This report examines high-rise models designed KBC2009 codes using 1) seismic loads regulated by KBC2009 and 2) amplified seismic loads assumed to strong earthquakes. And observing for more realistic behavior of tall buildings under huge earthquakes, this report takes two analysis methods - response spectrum analysis and non-linear time history analysis considering P-delta effect.

  • Purpose: In the literature power analysis in experimental studies is often executed and reported falsely. This descriptive study was done to promote the correct application of the Cohen(1988)'s power analysis method. Method: Articles of experimental studies from a nursing journal were selected and reviewed to examine the uses of and the reports on the power analysis process. Also, the appropriate power analysis process was discussed with an example of the most common experimental design, an independent two-group design with t test analysis plan. Result: Around half the experimental studies examined reported that they carried out power analysis. Cohen's method was the most frequently utilized but with accuracy in question. Conclusion: Power analysis to estimate sample size is the interplay between alpha, power, and effect size, and other factors in the case of t test analysis. Researchers should have a clear understanding of how to apply the Cohen's power analysis method so they do not produce poorly estimated sample sizes.

  • A 6-component load cell (Fx=Fy=Fz=10Kg, Mx=My=Mz=1Kg-m)) is designed and manufactured. Basic mechanism of the operation is measuring strains coresponding to pure bending stresses, at certain portions of the device, due to forces and moments given. Wheastone bridge is used for the strain measurement and the amplified output signals from the bridge are decoupled to give the real forces and moments by using the influence coefficient matrix obtained through the calibration. Based on the result of the calibration test, the developed load cell is believed to be quite accurate and reliable. We also believe that the design experience provided us 'With essential information for future design of various types of conventional or object oriented force measuring device.

Fitting Distribution of Accident Frequency of Freeway Horizontal Curve Sections & Development of Negative Binomial Regression Models (고속도로 평면선형상 사고빈도분포 추정을 통한 음이항회귀모형 개발 (기하구조요인을 중심으로))

  • 교통사고예측 및 예방을 위해서는 실제적으로 도로설계과정에서 제어가 가능한 도로 기하구조요소에 대한 사고관계를 파악함이 타당하다. 즉, 도로의 설계자는 도로건설에 앞서 기하구조요소와 사고와의 관계를 현장자료를 통해 정확히 밝혀 도로설계에 반영해야 한다. 이를 위해, 교통사고의 빈도분포를 박히는 것은 가장 기본이 되는 일이며, 교통사고 예측모형개발에 선행되어야 한다. 일반적으로 교통사고건수의 경우 분산이 평균보다 큰 과분산(overdispersion)의 특징을 가지고 있어 음이항 분포를 따른다고 알려져 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 사고모형의 개발에 앞서, 사고발생지점에 대한 도로설계요소와 기타 잠재적인 사고발생 관련요인이 비교적 잘 파악되어있는 호남고속도로를 중심으로 평면 선형상 곡선부에 대하여 교통사고의 분포를 적합도 검정을 통해 알아보고자 하였다. 사고자료는 한국도로송사의 호남고속도로 5년(1996∼2000)간 자료를 분석에 맞게 정리하였으며, 강민욱과 송봉수(2002)에서 제시한 평면선형에 있어서의 구간분할법을 이용하여 배향곡선구간과 단일곡선구간에 대한 사고분석을 하였다. 적합도 분석결과, 예상대로 음이항분포가 사고건수를 설명하기에 가장 적합한 확률분포로 제시되었으며, 이를 통해 최우추정법을 이용한 음이항회귀모형을 개발하였다. 구간분할법을 적용한 음이항회귀모형의 경우, 기존의 확률회귀토형에 비하여 높은 결정계수를 갖았으며, 모형에서 적용된 기하구조요소로는 차량 노출계수, 곡선반경, 단위거리 당 편경사변화값 등이다.

Simulation based Target Geometry Determination Method for Extrinsic Calibration of Multiple 2D Laser Scanning System (다중 2D 레이저 스캐너 시스템의 외부 표정요소 캘리브레이션을 위한 시뮬레이션 기반 표적 배치 결정 기법)

  • Acquiring indoor point cloud, using SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) based mobile mapping system, is an element progress for development of as-build BIM (Building Information Model) for the maintenance of the building. In this research we proposed a simulation-based target geometry determination for extrinsic calibration of multiple 2D laser scanning mobile system. Four different types of calibration sites were designed: (1) circle type; (2) rectangle type; (3) double circle type; and (4) double rectangle type. Based on the measurement values obtained from each simulated calibration site geometry, least squares solution based extrinsic calibration was derived. As a result, the rectangle type geometry is most suitable for extrinsic calibration of this system. Also, correlation values between extrinsic calibration parameters were high, and calibration results were distinct according to the calibration sites.
