Evaluation of structural integrity of the HP vaporizer and pipes of LNG fuel gas supply system (LNG 연료 선박용 FGSS의 고압 기화기와 출입구 배관에 대한 구조 건전성 평가)

  • Heavy oil used as ship propulsion has a serious issue regarding exhaust emission of global warming. Recently, among large-scale merchant ships are using LNG as green ships so called ech-ships. In this study, an vaporizer and pipes under cryogenic and high pressure load were considered to evaluate structural integrity according to codes. Structural analysis of the vaporizer and pipes was performed using the commercial code, ANSYS. Integrity evaluation of the vaporizer based on von Mises stress was performed in accordance with allowable stress specified in ASME Boiler & Pressure Vesssel Section VIII Division 2. To assess structural integrity of the pipes, stress components were combined and compared with ASME B31.3. The calculated stresses for all load cases are lower than allowable stresses, therefore the structural integrity of equipments are verified.

Phenolic Compounds Contents of Rusty-Root Tolerance Ginseng Lines in 6-Year Old Root (6년생 적변내성 인삼계통의 Phenolic Compounds 함량 특성)

  • Experiments were carried out to select marker for rusty tolerance ginseng root using high rusty degree lines(HRL) and low rusty degree lines (LRL) in ginseng plant. A strong positive correlation was detected between degree of rusty-root in 4-year-root and that in 6-year-root. The contents of phenolic compounds among samples were not different in stele and branch & fine roots. The contents of phenolic compounds of rusty-roots was higher than that of healthy-roots in cortex, but those of high 겨sty degree lines (HRL) were not different compared with low rusty degree lines (LRL) in cortex using same rusty-degree samples. These suggest that phenolic compounds in cortex tissue were not adequate as a marker to select rusty tolerance ginseng roots. The contents of phenolic compounds of rusty-roots were higher than that of healthy-roots in epidermis, and those of HRL were higher than LRL in epidermis using same rusty-degree samples. These suggested that the contents of phenolic compounds in epidermis tissue might be a potent marker to select rusty tolerance ginseng roots.

  • An influence factors for soundness evaluation of river levee include consisting embankment in case piping, permeability coefficient of ground, height of embankment, the width of crest, material characteristics of embankment and foundation ground, shape of embankment slope, an influence for penetration of rainfall or river water in case slope stability. In this study, it was operated a feasibility investigation of existing design result, stability evaluation for permeability coefficient use and permeability coefficient change of foundation ground to investigate an influence in line with permeability coefficient change for result of river levee penetration analysis. The evaluation results of influence factors, the permeability coefficient was used in design and it was evaluated influence in safety factor of piping. After the evaluation of influence factors, the permeability coefficient used in the design appears with the fact that differs in a design report about same soil.

  • As the design complexity and performances are increased in satellite electronic board, noise related problems are also increased. To minimize the noise issues, various design improvements are performed by power integrity and signal integrity analysis in this research. Static power and dynamic power design are reviewed and improved by DC IR drop and power impedance analysis. Signal integrity design is reviewed and improved by time domain signal wave analysis and PCB(Printed Circuit Board) design modifications. And also power planes resonance modes are checked and mitigation measures are verified by simulation. Finally, it is checked that radiated noise is reduced after design improvements by EMC(Electro Magnetic Compatibility) RE(Radiated Emission) measurement results.

Comparative Analysis between Healthy and Powdery Mildew-infected Plants of Strawberry Cultivar Seolhyang (딸기 설향품종의 흰가루병 건전 및 감염식물 비교 분석)

  • We examined the incidence of powdery mildew in strawberry cv. Seolhyang plants, and performed a comparative analysis on the temperature, photosynthesis rate, and nutrient content of healthy and powdery mildew-infected plants. Powdery mildew first infected the fruit of the strawberries in mid-January, and the disease severity increased in both fruits and leaves during the late harvest season. The rate of photosynthesis and leaf temperatures of healthy plants were higher than those of powdery mildew-infected leaves and significantly decreased with an increase in the disease severity. The healthy and powdery mildew-infected plants in the soil analysis were not significantly different in chemical compositions. The leaves of the healthy plants contained lower potassium and higher manganese and chlorophyll concentrations than the powdery mildew-infected plants. In particular, manganese was significantly higher in healthy leaves than in infected leaves. Therefore, the concentrations of potassium, manganese and chlorophyll in strawberry leaves may be an important factor for disease suppression.

  • Primary water stress corrosion cracking (PWSCC) instances have been reported in the Alloy 600 reactor pressure vessel head penetration nozzle and the Alloy 82/182 dissimilar metal butt weld nozzle in several PWRs. Therefore, in-service inspection programs have been adopted worldwide to prevent failure at the weld region. If a PWSCC is observed at the dissimilar metal weld region during inspection, its structural integrity should be evaluated; however, this requires considerable time and effort, and this might lead to a decrease in the plant utilization coefficient. To prevent this, KHNP-CRI have established integrity assessment criteria and developed a computer program for the fast evaluation and judgment of PWSCC. In this paper, the results and current status of the same are presented. Through this study, criteria for the structural integrity evaluation of PWSCC have been established, and a computer program has been developed to realize technical means for the evaluation of PWSCC structural integrity.

An Energy-Dissipation-Ratio Based Structural Health Monitoring System (에너지소산률을 이용한 구조물의 건전도 모니터링에 관한 연구)

  • This research develops a technique which uses energy dissipation ratio in order to monitor the structural health on real time basis. For real-time monitoring, we employ the NExT and the ERA which enable us to obtain real-time data. Energy dissipation ratio is calculated from those data only with the damping and natural frequency of the structure, and from the calculated values we develop an algorithm (Energy dissipation method) which decides the damage degree of structure. The Energy dissipation method developed in this research is proved to be valid by comparison with other methods like the eigenparameter method and the MAC. Especially this method enables us to save measuring time and data which are the most important in real-time monitoring, and its use of the ambient vibration also makes it easy to monitor the whole structure and its damage points.

A Filtering Method of Malicious Comments Through Morpheme Analysis (형태소 분석을 통한 악성 댓글 필터링 방안)

  • Even though the replying comments on Internet articles have positive effects on discussions and communications, the malicious comments are still the source of problems even driving people to death. Automatic detection of malicious comments is important in this respect. However, the current filtering method of the malicious comments, based on forbidden words, is not so effective, especially for the replying comments written in Korean. This paper proposes a new filtering approach based on morpheme analysis, identifying coarse and polite morphemes. Based on these two groups of morphemes, the soundness of comments can be calculated. Further, this paper proposes various impact measures for comments, based on the soundness. According to the experiments on malicious comments, one of the impact measures is effective for detecting malicious comments. Comparing our method with the clean-bot of a portal site, the recall is enhanced by 37.93% point and F-measure is also enhanced up to 47.66 points. According to this result, it is highly expected that the new filtering method based on morpheme analysis can be a promising alternative to those based on forbidden words.

Mechanical and Oven-drying Characteristics of Pinus densiflora Wood Damaged by Forest Fire (산불 피해 소나무재의 역학적 특성 및 급속오븐 건조특성)

  • The Mechanical and drying characteristics of Pinus densiflora wood, which was damaged by forest fire, and sound wood were examined. There were no significant differences in axial compressive properties, shearing strength and impact bending absorbed energy between damaged and sound woods. But the bending properties of damaged wood were slightly higher than those of sound wood. The green moisture content of sapwood in damaged wood was lower than that in sound wood, but oven-drying rate was similar in both woods. Number of initial check in damaged wood was smaller than that in sound wood, and inner check in damaged and sound woods was not observed. Consequently, it is considered that mostly damaged wood by forest fire can be used for wood material after removing the bark.

  • 수도권에 용수를 공급하는 팔당유역은 경제, 사회, 환경적으로 매우 중요한 공공의 자산이며, 이러한 자산을 누리는 데에 이어 국민 모두가 공평한 혜택을 받을 필요가 있다. 수량과 수질의 만족도는 곧 지역민들의 복지이며, 복지는 삶의 질을 높여주는 것을 의미한다. 팔당유역에서는 인간의 개발행위로 인해 하천과 생태계의 지속적인 훼손과 방치가 발생하며, 팔당유역에 대한 수도권과 지역주민들의 사회적, 문화적 요구가 증가함에 따라 수자원의 안정적인 확보와 하천의 자연성 회복을 위해 유역 건전성 평가가 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 팔당유역 수량과 수질의 평가지표에 대한 과거 10년 동안의 기초자료를 수집하여 SPSS를 통해 통계분석을 실시하였다. 통계분석을 통해 도출된 결과를 이용해 가중치를 산정한 후 각 하천에 대한 유역 건전성 지수산정과 등급평가를 하여 표준유역 규모의 하천 변화 정도에 대한 상세평가를 통해 지역별 현황을 쉽게 파악할 수 있도록 하였다. 수량에 대한 기초자료는 TANK모형을 통해 자연유출량을 산정 후 관측유량과의 차이를 이용하여 산출하였으며, 수질에 대한 기초자료는 물환경정보시스템을 통해 수집하였다. 기초자료를 기반으로 왜곡된 자료의 정규성 확보 및 표준화를 수행하고, SPSS 프로그램을 이용하여 요인분석을 실시한 후 적합성 검토를 통해 최종지표를 산정하였다. 산정된 지표를 주성분 분석에 의한 가중치, 엔트로피에 의한 가중치를 산정하여 비교 후 최종 가중치를 선정하였다. 유역 건전성의 최종평가를 위해 가중치와 지표를 이용하여 지수산정 및 등급화를 실시하였다. 유역 건전성의 등급화를 통해 연도별 하천환경의 변화를 모니터링 함으로써 하천의 가치 보전과 개발에 따른 영향을 최소화할 수 있으며, 하천기본계획 수립 시 기초정보로 이용될 수 있을 것이다.
