  • Construction supply chain management focused on materials in construction industry plays a critical role which controls the success and failure of a project. For the efficiency of construction supply chain management, the framework which provides project participants with the information originated from whole construction logistics steps without the omission and discontinuation of information flow is required. The new management framework that can support this environment is necessary because of setting up the complicated and distributed environment including logistics information management by intelligent equipment, co-working management with pre-framework legacy system and various devices(UMPC and PDA etc.) as the information confirmation and electrical transmission tool between the project participants different from former construction supply chain management environment while recently developing ubiquitous technologies such as RFID/USN and intelligent equipment to support logistics process. Therefore, the objective of this study is to introduce the concept of SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) as an alternative of effective information integration under the complex and distributed environment and to propose the SOA-based application model for building intelligent construction supply chain management framework.

  • After IMF bailout crisis in Korea, project financing has been employed as a major funding vehicle for the housing development. In 2008, the recession of housing market due to the global financial crisis had an significant impact on the increasing insolvent site of PF based housing development project, resulting in serious impact to whole economy as a chain effect. In order to resolve this vicious circle of bankruptcy, the major construction companies were urged to take over the insolvent sites and invest to them for normal project exit, and finally play a critical role in normalization of market. Therefore, this study aims to define the core factors for decision making to invest to insolvent site and find out differences among constructors, developers, financial lenders. The results from AHP analysis, the profitability was the most important factor to constructors. Moreover, even though the location merit is little less, through competitive price, we can assure that stable profitability is most important factor to decide to invest in insolvent site. In conclusion, the price is cheap, is highly feasible, if the land secured, major construction company will participate in a PF business investment. These findings were verified by the investment case of major construction company.

  • Although Construction Failure Information has been reported in literatures, reports of research, and etc., it Is difficult to utilize the information because the information classification does not exist. Therefore, this study investigated and analyzed literatures of domestic and abroad research Institutions and suggested the Construction Failure Information Classification(CFIC). The CFIC is composed of four classified items; facility general information, failure situation information, failure cause Information, and failure counterplan information. Each item is divided sub-items. Through CFIC, Construction Failure Information can be standardized and utilized for useful data to prevent recurrences of construction failure.

  • The performance measurement system of a company is an important tool to evaluate business result, to manage human resource and to achieve strategic management goals. Until 1990's, the performance in most of companies had been measured by financial perspectives. Recently non-financial perspectives with various and balanced view points are used. In the construction industry, the same situation is happened. However, effective tools are not developed yet. Therefore, this research proposes a framework of the comparable performance measurement in the construction industry. This framework is based on concept of the balanced scorecard(BSC) and prepared respectively for owner, contractor and architect/engineer Using this framework, it is possible to compare performance of a company with each other and to benchmark the best performance.

  • 건설사업을 시행하면서 생성되는 설계도서를 건설CALS/EC 체계에 따라 사업참여주체간에 보다 효과적으로 교환 및 공동 활용하기 위해서는 먼저 설계도서의 전자화가 필요하며 이 때 전자화된 도서는 하드웨어나 소프트웨어에 제약을 받지 않으면서 표준화된 설계도서의 논리 구조가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 설계도서에 관한 XML DTD(Document Type Definition)을 설계하였다.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the standards for construction documents. The standards will facilitate efficient exchange and sharing of construction documents among the participants such as owners, designers, constructors and other related parts throughout construction work process. For this reason, this study is intended to define the requirements for establishing XML-based electronic document standardization system, and to prepare the plan for developing XML electronic document in a consistent way.

  • 건설CALS/EC 체계에 따라 도로건설공사에서 생성되는 설계문서를 발주자, 설계자 및 시공자 등 참여 주체간에 보다 효과적으로 교환하기 위해서는 특정 하드웨어나 소프트웨어에 구애를 받지 않으면서 표준화된 전자문서 정보체계에 따라 전자화해야 한다. 이를 위해 다양한 유형을 갖는 설계문서에서 반복적이면서 빈번하게 나타나는 공통 구성체계와 정보요소를 대상으로 설계문서 공통 DTD를 개발하였다.

  • The construction Supply Chain Management(SCM) plays a critical role to proceed construction projects successfully. It is necessary to develop a system to support better communication among various actors and to supply construction materials in the right place on time with unstable situations on site according to the planned construction schedule for effective Supply Chain Management. Therefore, the objective of this study is to propose an automated and intelligent process that can be used to utilize ubiquitous technologies in construction supply chain management. This process consists of various equipments that can collect, store, calculate and communicate data among themselves. This study deals with a conceptual idea in order to improve process and equipment in the supply chain management process.

  • Recently, the fatality rate in the construction industry has not decreased any more and is in a stagnant state, and there are efforts by various construction participants such as ordering, design, and construction, management to improve it. In order to reduce serious accidents in the construction industry, which is higher than in other industries, the government evaluates the safety level of construction participants and announces it to raise awareness. However, in the items, standards, and procedures of the safety management level evaluation, there are points that do not match the site situation, and it is necessary to improve them. In this study, in order to improve the safety management level evaluation for construction technology service providers who are in the worst situation for safety management, the safety management level evaluation result analysis and Focus-Group-Interview(FGI) were conducted. improvement direction was suggested.

To promote the reconstructing project successfully. we need to make risk management process to get rid of uncertain factors which occur in forwarding the reconstructing project This study has for its objects. First, suggest the best way of risk analysis to manage risk factors systematically and efficiently recognized in The Apartment reconstruction protect. Second, furnish basic data to build the risk managing system of The apartment reconstructing project.
