Recently, interest in remodeling apartment houses has been increasing due to problems such as a lack of parking spaces for old apartment houses. However, no method was suggested to predict the construction period of the apartment remodeling project. Unlike general apartment new construction, apartment remodeling construction involves demolition or reinforcement work, so a realistic remodeling construction period calculation plan differentiated from the existing construction period should be proposed. Therefore, this study intends to present a model for deriving the construction period of the underground parking lot of the apartment remodeling construction. Each construction period was calculated based on 19 activities of underground parking lot remodeling work through review of previous studies and expert advice. Activity's workload data and productivity data were derived to calculate the construction period, and the number of inputs and equipment inputs by Activity were determined to correct the productivity data. The construction period of Activity was calculated using the derived data, and the criteria for calculating the overlapping period for each Activity were presented to enable realistic construction period and scheduled schedule. As a result of predicting the accuracy of the construction period through the verification of the case complex, it is expected that it will be possible to predict the approximate construction period of the underground parking lot of the apartment remodeling construction in the future.

With the recent development of 4th industrial revolution technology, BIM information systems are spreading to civil engineering fields as a link to this technology. Accordingly, the Land, Infrastructure and Transport Ministry is announcing a technical policy to introduce the BIM information system into the construction sector from 2020. Usually, SOC-related facilities are complex, making it difficult to implement BIM without a standards framework. To overcome these problems, it is urgent to develop a BIM standard classification system. In this study, the BIM property classification system was developed to link the previously developed object classification system by analyzing domestic and foreign prior studies and working standards. This includes property information of businesses, facilities, parts of facilities and components that correspond to the level of object composition in the road and river sectors. It also suggested ways to apply expansion to various SOC areas and to organize spatial information by facility. The results of this study were applied to road facilities to verify the possibility of information building. The development of the BIM Standards Classification System through this R&D will contribute to the development of construction IT by providing conditions for convenient modeling and information system.

Since the domestic utility tunnels were built mainly in the development project of the new city, they are all in the form of cut-and-cover box tunnel. But, in the case of overseas construction of utility tunnels for existing urban areas, the bored tunnel types are mainly adopted. It is reasonable to install bored tunnels in a downtown area because it is difficult to block the roads or install bypass roads due to heavy traffic and civil complaints. In order to activate the utility tunnels in bored type, it is necessary to secure optimized cross-sectional design technology considering the optimal supplying capacity and mutual influencing factors (Thermal Interference, electrolytic corrosion, efficiency of the maintenance, etc.) of utilities (power cables, telecommunication cables, water pipes, etc.). The optimal cross-section design method for bored utility tunnels is ultimately to derive the optimal arrangement technique for the utilities. In order to develop the design methods, firstly, the cases of tunnel cross-section (Shield TBM, Conventional Tunneling) in overseas shall be investigated to analyze the characteristics of the installation of utilities in the section and installation of auxiliary facilities, It is necessary to sort out and analyze the criteria related to the inner cross-section design (arrangement) presented in the standards and guidelines.
The flow and bed change were analyzed using the CCHE2D model, which is a two-dimensional numerical model, at a confluence of the Namhan River and Seom River where deposition occurs predominantly after the "Four Major Rivers Restoration Project." The characteristic of the junction is that the tributary of Seom River joined into the curved channel of the main reach of the Namhan River. The CCHE2D model analyzes the non-equilibrium sediment transport, and the adaptation lengths for the bed load and suspended load are important variables in the model. At the target area, the adaptation length for the bed load showed the greatest influence on the river bed change. Numerical simulation results demonstrated that the discharge ratio ($Q_r$) change affected the flow and bed change in the Namhan River and Seom river junction. When $Q_r{\leq}2.5$, the flow velocity of the main reach increased before confluence, thereby reducing the flow separation zone and decreasing the deposition inside the junction. When $Q_r$>2.5, there was a high possibility that deposition would be increased, thereby forming sand bar. Numerical simulation showed that a fixed sand bar has been formed at the junction due to the change of discharge ratio, which occurred in 2013.

Cement is one of the most commonly used materials in the construction and civil engineering industry. However, emissions of carbon dioxide generated during the production of cement have been linked to climate change and environment pollutants. In order to replace cement, many studies have been actively performed research to utilizing Blast Furnace Slag(BFS), which is a byproduct of the steel industry. This study aims to investigate the physiochemical properties of the BFS powder based grout to determine whether it can be used as an environment-friendly grout material. As a fine powder, BSF can be used instead of cement grout due to its potential hydraulic property. BSF has also been known for its ability to strengthen materials long-term and to densify the internal structure of concrete. In order to investigate the physicochemical properties of the BFS powder based grout as a grout material, in this study assessment tests were performed through a gel-time measurement, uniaxial compressive strength, and chemical resistance tests, and heavy-metal leaching test. Characteristics and advantages of the slag were studied by comparing slag and cement in various methods.
The future water management needs decentralization of facilities, diversity of technology and integration of management to overcome the waste of financial resources and increase in scale of facilities that occurred from centralized water management. In addition, citizen's environmental awareness and participation is important because all infrastructure installed in the watershed where citizens live should have the function of water management. Therefore, the research was performed by investigating the citizen's recognition about urban environment와 LID application to analyze citizen's perceptions and analyze the feasibility and possibility of LID application. The LID awareness of citizens was about 59%, but only about 46% of citizens agreed on the extension of application. However, after contacting LID photographs and information, 90% of respondents agreed on the application of LID, and 94% of respondents were able to distinguish between grey infrastructure and LID infrastructure. Citizens appeared to have a tendency to recognize green spaces as multi-functional LID infrastructure or green infrastructure. If citizens recognize multi-functional LIDs only as landscapjng area, it will be very difficult to extend the LID on the city areas. Therefore, for the extended application of the LID facilities, it is necessary to use public relations strategy to utilize the results and visual data on the actual effect verification. In addition, as every social infrastructure is formed in watershed where citizens live, it is necessary to plan and manage the infrastructure through governance with citizen participation.

The Smart City Plan specifies that it should reflect the content of the Smart City Comprehensive Plan, which is the upper plan while presenting the basic direction, promotion strategy, service establishment and operation plans of a smart city construction project. However, there are not enough empirical studies on whether plan contents are systematically established according to smart city planning hierarchy. In this study, we are to use the social network analysis to find out the local government's smart city plan is actually highly connected to the Smart City Comprehensive Plan, a master plan at national level. To this end, we conducted a social network analysis on Gwangmyeong and Chuncheon, which were recently approved for smart city planning. First, 108 keywords were derived from the 2nd Smart City Comprehensive Plan, and the connectivity between these keywords and Smart City Planning was analyzed. The results of the social network analysis showed that the total connections of Smart City Planning in Gwangmyeong was 371, which was higher than 307 in Chuncheon, and the average degree of connection per keyword and network density were also higher in the Gwangmyeong Smart City Planning than the Chuncheon Smart City Planning. The results of the study showed that the Smart City Planning actually had a high connectivity with the Smart City Comprehensive Plan, and the keywords with high connection centrality were different for each local government. The result of this study can be used as a basis for judging whether there is a high correlation between plans.
Air pollutants have a high impact on everyday life as well as on human health; therefore, new technologies such as low-emission vehicles and add-on systems for air pollutant reduction are needed for our society. However, the environmental benefits and costs of those technologies are not taken into account in existing economic feasibility assessments, which is a barrier that needs to be overcome for green technology to achieve wide dissemination and fast penetration in the market. Thus, this study develops a methodology to assess the economic feasibility of an air pollutant reduction technology by taking into account the social costs from air pollutants and carries out a case study to validate the methodology. Because the social unit costs for air pollutants have not been evaluated yet in South Korea, the methodology uses the social unit costs evaluated for the European Union that are then converted to those for South Korea based on the measuring criteria for vehicle emission gases, parity purchasing price, foreign currency exchange rate, and customer price index. The social unit costs for South Korea are used to assess economic feasibility. A case study was performed to assess the economic feasibility of a dual fuel system using diesel and compressed natural gas by taking into account social costs from air pollutants as well as economic costs. This study could contribute to assessing the true economic feasibility of green technology, projects, and policy related with air pollutant reduction.

As the construction of trans infrastructure using the underground tunnel have been rapidly increased, various nearby excavation of existed underground facility including subway structure has been occurred in urban tunnelling. The concern and worry relating to the safety and stability of the existed facility by nearby excavation is becoming the key issues in urban tunnelling. In this study, it was conducted for existed the subway station structure at Seoul subway line which was closely located in the new Dongbuk urban metro railway to determine the behavior characteristics of station structure according to adjacent tunnel construction. Also, it was reviewed the evaluation of the safety zone and excavation method for subway structure. And after a review of damage evaluation, track irregularities and structural calculation by using a numerical analysis, stability of the subway structure according to nearby tunnel excavation was evaluated to be secured. This study is expected to be applied as useful reference in advance if you need to review the effects of existed structure according to nearby construction in complex urban tunnelling.
In this study, in order to recycle a large amount of rocks and weathered mudstones produced by civil engineering projects such as railways and highways, as materials for roadbeds or embankment materials, circumferential specimens with a diameter of 5 cm and a height of 10 cm were made. A mudstone that weathered rapidly during rainfall was collected from Pohang construction sites. The weathered mudstone passed through a 2 mm sieve. It was prepared with the cement ratio, the sand ratio, curing condition and curing days. Three specimens were prepared according to each condition and then the unconfined compressive test, durability test and SEM analysis were performed to evaluate the engineering properties of the cemented soil. In the case of 28 days cured specimen, the strength of under-water cured specimens was 32-55% and the durability index was about 15% higher than air cured specimens. In addition, when the CR increased from 8% to 16%, the unconfined compressive strength (UCS) of pure mudstone cemented soil under water increased by about 1.6 times and the durability index increased by about 1.9 times. When the SR increased from 0% to 50%, the UCS of the specimen with SR = 10% was slightly less than or equal to specimen with SR = 0%. Then, as the SR became 30-50%, the UCS increased up to 51%. Unlike the UCS, the durability index increased continuously as the SR increased. As a result of SEM analysis, when SR was 50% rather than SR = 0%, the contact between sand particles increased and they were connected to each other. Such contact between these particles resulted in the increase of strength.
