The present study surveyed 300 adults who completed orthodontic treatment to determine their oral health-related quality of life and changes in oral health behavior in orthodontic patients. The collected data is analyzed using the spss 22.0 program. Before orthodontic treatment, social factors (4.68) had the lowest associated quality of life score, and after orthodontic treatment, socially related quality of life showed the highest increase at 3.72 points. Changes in oral health behavior showed that many phosphorus scaling increased by 1.28 points after correction compared to before correction. As oral health quality of life and oral health behavior have changed through orthodontic treatment, dental professionals need to take appropriate management of each patient's individual quality through health education. Appropriate management needs to be developed.
This paper convergent examined caregiver burden, depressive symptoms and health related quality of life of 226 caregivers of stroke patients, who had been hospitalized in 7 general hospitals located in Cheongju and Daejeon Metropolitan city. The quality of life was measured using SF-8, which is a short version of HRQoL. According to Multiple regression Analysis, dependence of a patient were important factors in the physical related quality of life. These results suggest that in order to improve the quality of life related to the physical health of the stroke patient's caregiver, the elderly long-term care insurance system and the caregiver system and the ward of the Ministry of Health and Welfare are expanded ward without a caregiver. There is a need to raise expectations for recovery through education and family support groups.

The results showed that there were significant differences in all job stress, self-efficacy, depression and health-related quality of life according to musculoskeletal symptoms. Depression, self-efficacy, job stress were significantly correlated; however, health related to quality of life was not. Therefore, as the results indicate that job stress, self-efficacy, depression and health-related quality of life can be affected by musculoskeletal pain for office workers, there is a need for the development of programs focused on the prevention of musculoskeletal discomfort.

The subjects of this study were 240 young stroke patients who visited the outpatient department of neurology at a tertiary hospital in C province and J university hospital from July 24, 2018, to November 22, 2018. The collected data were analyzed for statistical significance and hypothesis verification using SPSS 24.0 and SmartPLS 3.0. The results showed that guilt and mental depression in depression factors had an effect on fear of stroke recurrence, and mental depression had a statistically significant impact on health-related quality of life. Also, fear of recurrence has a significant impact on health-related quality of life. The results of this study suggest that overcoming fear of stroke recurrence by interventions that reduce guilt and mental depression through early assessment of their depression, thus it can significantly contribute to improving health-related quality of life in young adults with stroke.
Purpose The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between physical activities, sleep disturbance, and health related quality of life (HRQOL) in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Methods A descriptive survey design used pretest dataset of COPD symptom management intervention study (N=245). Measures included the international physical activity questionnaire, the COPD and asthma sleep impact scale, and the St. George's respiratory questionnaire of HRQOL. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and simultaneous multiple regression by the SPSS WIN 18.0 program. Results The mean scores (SD) of HRQOL and sleep disturbance were 36.04 (19.43) and 14.33 (6.20), respectively. About 32% of participants were physically inactive. The multivariate approach showed the patients who have more sleep disturbance (β=.27), lower levels of FEV1 % predicted (β=-.23), lower physical activities (β=-.19), lower household income (β=-.16), and diagnosed longer than 5 years (β=.14) reported lower HRQOL (R2=.34). Conclusion The findings of this study suggest that improving the quality of sleep and physical activities can be efficient strategies for HRQOL in patients with COPD. Future research in enhancing HRQOL through improving sleep quality and physical activities is needed.
The aim of this study was to investigate the association between self-rated oral health, self-rated health, and quality of life (QOL) among older population from the 7th Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES VII-1, 2016). Data of 1,866 older adults (Mean age 69.5 years) were analyzed with hierarchical logistic regression analyses with IBM SPSS 23.0. Over 87.7% of the subjects rated their oral health as fair or poor. Women and less educated participants more likely to report their perceived oral health as poor (p<.05). Older participants who rated their general health positively were more likely to rate their oral health as good (F=19.04, p<.001). Elders who had bad perceived health (OR: 2.86, 95% CI: 1.5~5.5), had carries in permanent teeth (OR: 2.68, 95% CI: 1.67~4.32) and anxiety or depression (OR: 1.45, 95% CI: 1.42~2.57) had negative oral health perception after controlling for covariates. In conclusion, perceived oral health and QOL were associated with each other in Korean older adults. Therefore, it is recommended to approach holistic strategy for improve health and quality of life in the elderly population.
The purpose of this study was to investigate association between oral health related quality of life(OHRQoL) and health outcome, such as evaluated oral health state, perceived health state and perceived oral health state. 148 of individuals over 50 years old completed a self-reported questionnaire on Oral Health Impact Profile(OHIP-14) and oral examination was perfomed. 9.5% of respondents reported no problems or discomfort using OHIP-14. The most frequently reported problems were physical pain(69.8%) and psychological discomfort(63.5%). 43.9% of the individuals rated their health and oral health as poor and 54.7% were dissatisfied with their oral health. The study showed association between number of DMFT, missing teeth, perceived health state, perceived oral health state, oral health satisfaction and oral health related quality of life. Perceived heath sate was correlated with oral health related quality of life. But the study showed no association between DMFT, number of missing teeth and oral health related quality of life.

The study result showed that the risk of experiencing depression increased among subjects with a high level of perceived stress and subjects with a low level of health related quality of life. In addition, the risk of experiencing depression increased among subjects with 1-4 hours of sleep time compared to subjects with 8 or more hours of sleep time. Accordingly, it would be necessary to pay attention to stress, sleep time and health related quality of life that are related influencing factors for the improvement of depression and mental health of Korean female problem drinkers.

This study performed an investigation to determine the impact of the oral health status and oral health behavior of pregnant women on quality of life and analyzed the results. The data was tested using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test for the key measuring parameters by using PASW Statistics 18.0. There were significant differences in subjective oral health status and oral health interest had significant differences depending on the period of in pregnancy. 46.5% of surveyed subjects considered themselves as 'healthy', and 51.2% considered their oral health status was 'healthy' while 57.5 responded they were interested in the oral health. As for the quality of life according to the oral health behaviors, when the subjects did not have any experience of receiving oral health education, when the tooth brushings were ${\leq}3$ times, when they had not received examination on a regular basis, and when they had no experience of scaling, the quality of life was very low. Significant impact variables on the OHIP-14 include longer pregnancy term, no experience of childbirth, subjective health status and poorer subjective oral health status, and the low health-related quality of life. In this study, it was considered as necessary to develop improved oral health education programs because the oral health-related quality of life was closely associated with oral health and oral health behaviors perceived subjectively.
