The purpose of this study is to analyse on the internet use of Korean older adults focused on their socioeconomic characteristics. For this study, data were collected through the face to face interview with aged over 60 using a questionnaire for the residence of Daegu and Kyungsang Buk-Do areas. Subjects were divided into socioeconomic characteristics such as gender, education level, economic level, religion, and life satisfaction. The data were analysed the elderly's internet use such as frequency of internet access, motivation of internet use, utilization of internet, and usefulness of internet based on their socioeconomic characteristics. The results of this empirical study revealed that there exist a significant differences between internet use and socioeconomic characteristics in elderly people. It is hoped that the results of this study provide an essential data for developing the policy of the elderly's digital divide and welfare.

The purpose of this study is to examine between the social isolation and smart phone addiction in elderly. Under this relationship, we investigated the double-mediation effects of self-regulation and social support. Research data were collected from 404 elderly in DaeJeon, South Korea. The final sample were 404 who fully responded. As a result of structural equation modeling, the social isolation of elderly significantly effected directly in smart phone addiction. Furthermore, self-regulation and social support effected the smart phone addiction indirectly through the double-mediation path. Based on the results of this study, the implications and future studies of the smart phone addiction of elderly are suggested.

This study shows how financial education for middle-age affects their remaining life (economic, physical, emotional and social) and improves the way of preparing for their old age through 355 questionnaires using SPSS 18.0, factor analysis, t-test and ANOVA program. The results obtained are summarized as follows: Firstly, The importance of financial education has been differently perceived by the age, marital status, income and religion. Secondly, the necessity for early financial education and retirement preparation have been comprehended by analyzing the effects of the financial education on their old life. Thirdly, Attitude for retirement has affirmative effects on the self respect, economic stability and leisure activity.

This study aims to determine the impact of digital literacy skills of middle-aged and older people using public libraries on their life satisfaction. For this study, a survey was conducted on 192 middle-aged and older people aged 40 to 64 living in area G. The collected data were analyzed using the statistical package SPSS 27 program. The analysis methods in this study included frequency analysis, descriptive statistical analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range test for post-hoc analysis, and regression analysis. The results of this study are as follows: First, digital literacy competency has a significant positive impact on the life satisfaction of middle-aged and older adults; as their digital literacy skills improve, their life satisfaction increases. Second, digital literacy competency varies based on gender, education level, employment status, and average monthly income, influencing their engagement in activities such as study or work. Additionally, higher levels of digital literacy competency, as determined by the highest level of education, positively affect life satisfaction, leisure activities, and cultural life.

한국 중년 남녀들의 무급노동을 비교 분석하려는 목적을 가진 본 연구는 가사노동과 가족들 보기를 하는 비율과 그 시간량을 분석하고 있다. 가사노동과 가족돌보기가 여전히 여성들의 몫으로 간주된다고는 하지만 얼마나 많은 여성과 남성들이 이러한 일들을 하고 있으며, 이에 사용되는 시간이 얼마인지에 대한 구체적인 분석을 드물다. 본 연구에서는 1999년도 생활시간조사를 이용하여 한국의 40대와 50대 중년층의 가사노동과 가족돌보기를 행하는 비율과 그 시간량을 기술하는 한편, 이들의 가구, 개인, 거주지역 및 요일특성에 따른 차이를 제시하고 있다. 주요 결과로는 중년층 여자들의 경우 본 연구에서 고려한 특성과 관계없이 대부분이 가사노동을 하고 있는 반면, 남자들은 특성에 따라 가사노동을 하는 비율의 차이가 발견된다는 것이다. 또한 가사노동 시간량에서는 남자들과는 달리 여자들에게서 동거가구원이 적을수록 가사노동의 시간 또한 적음을 알 수 있다. 가족돌보기의 경우에는 가구특성이 중요하게 나타나고 있다. 특히 남자들과는 달리, 여자들 중에서 유배우자들은 무배우자들보다 가족돌보기를 하는 비율이나 시간이 많은 것으로 나타난다. 이는 남편이 아내를 돌보기보다는 아내가 남편을 수발하거나 보살피는 것이 더 보편적임을 다시 확인시켜 준다.

본 연구는 삶의 질에 관한 관점을 우리 나라 도시저소득층의 주거실태를 중심으로 살펴보고자 한다. 이를 바탕으로 주거빈곤층의 삶의 질 향상을 위한 발전대안을 모색하도록 한다. 국내외 거의 모든 ‘삶의 질’선행연구에 있어 중요한 지표로서‘주택’,‘주거환경’,‘주거장소’등 주거에 관한 상이 포함되어 있다. 즉 삶의 질 연구에 있어 주택 및 주거환경은 가장 기본적이고 필수적 요소임을 확인할 수 있다. 주거빈곤을 기능적 측면, 경제적 측면, 최저주거기준 측면, 그리고 주거권 측면에서 분석하고, 한국의 주거빈곤실태를 파악하였다. 특히 서울을 비롯한 대도시의 주거빈곤층은 달동네.산동네라 불리는 불량주거지, 비닐하우스, 쪽방 등에 거주하며, 이들은 주로 주택점유 형태상 전세, 보증부월세, 월세 등의 임차가구의 대부분을 차지한다. 삶의 질과 주거환경개선을 위한 발전대안 모색을 위해 주거분야 ‘삶의 질 지표’를 제안하였다. 지표의 내용으로 주택 그 자체뿐 아니라 주거기능이 원활하도록 하는 공공서비스, 안전 등의 광의적 접근이 필요함을 강조하였다. 아울러 삶의 질에 관련된 정책과제를 해결하기 위해서는 적어도 네 가지 부문(정부, 민간부문, NGO/CBO, 주민)별 각자의 역할을 강조하였다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the patterns and barriers of the Internet for the elderly adults in Korea. Data was collected through the face to face interview using a questionnaire for the residence of Daegu and Kyungsang Buk-Do areas targeted over the 60-years-olds elder adults. A total of 119 valid response data were analyzed with the descriptive statistics and the group differences by age and gender using SPSS 18.00. It found that the most of the elder adults access the Internet to seek the entertainment contents, the knowledge-related contents, and the cultural and art contents. They spend most of the Internet online session to do searching information and enjoying movie and music. However, there were age differences and gender differences within the subjects. The complexity of computer and the Internet usage is one of the barriers for the Internet access, and they suggest that a customized education and training courses of computer literacy for the elderly adults would be the ways of resolve those obstructions.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the influences of the information activities (i.e., the ability of digital device use and the time spent of information retrieval) on the feeling of happiness for the elderly people in Korea. For this study, we conducted face-to-face interview with the elderly over 60 years old living in and around Daegu, Korea and analyzed 371 valid data for frequency, multiple regression and t-test using IBM SPSS version 21.0. The results showed that neither the ability of computer nor mobile phone use affect on the feeling of happiness, whereas both the ability of TV and telephone use influence positively (+) on it. In addition, the time spent of the business-related information retrieval influences negatively (-) on the feeling of happiness, but the time spent of the financial-related information retrieval influences positively (+) on it.

As the scope of the target of terrorism is recently extending, the danger of domestic terroristic attacks is increasing constantly, and the form of terrorism is changing from hard targets such as significant facilities of the country into soft target of multi-complex buildings such as skyscrapers. Accordingly this study analyzes the terrorism threat level on skyscrapers by comparing the assessment results of the terrorism threat level on skyscrapers and high-rise buildings with the assessment results of the terrorism threat level on low-rise buildings through fema 455 - Rapid Visual Screening. As a result, skyscrapers and high-rise buildings are relatively higher threat rating than consequences and vulnerability rating. This is caused by the fact that the terrorism threat level on skyscrapers is high due to their residents and their national or regional symbolism and visibility

This paper aims to examine the moderate effects of Client's Organizational Character on the relationships between Consulting Service Quality and Business Performance. To accomplish these purposes, The questionaries of 192 were inspected to the CEO or PM having consulting experience at the companies in Daegu and kyoung-buk. First, Consulting Service Quality presented a meaningful result(+) with the Business Performance. Second, Consulting Service Quality have differential influence on Business Performance by Client' s Organizational Character.
