The purpose of this study is to find out apartment residents' consciousness and needs of their community facility by age group as to provide basic data for future community facility planning. For this study, 12 national rental apartment complexes in the Seoul Metropolitan area were selected, and the residents of diverse age groups were surveyed including children, adolescents, adults, and elders regarding their attitude, satisfaction, and necessity of using the community space, and their requests for programs and locations of the community space. As for the analysis method, statistical software, SPSS for Windows 14.0, was used, and total of 891 questionnaires were analyzed for the survey. The findings of this study are as follows. 1) As to major activities in national rental apartment community facilities, older residents tended to show more interest in health, while younger residents tended to show more interest in leisure. 2) The residents' satisfaction about community facilities was the highest among children, and was the lowest among adults in general. Particularly, the facilities that were designed for specific age groups of users showed high satisfaction among users. Therefore, community facilities need to be planned in consideration of each age group of users. 3) Residents' requests for community facilities, in general, were found more among adults and elders than among children and adolescents. Elders made requests for the green environment, and adults made requests for facilities for family uses. 4) As to the results of surveying the requests about community facility programs, children, adolescents, and adults all made requests for programs regarding leisure activities. However, elders made requests for programs related to health or communication with neighbors. Therefore, the purposes and requests of using community facilities need to be identified precisely and then plan them accordingly and effectively.
Recently luminous egress guide-lines are introduced for the fire safety of residents in the multi-use buildings such as Gosiwon. Little literature, however, on the quantitative and qualitative estimation for the egress performance of the luminous egress guide-lines can be found. This study carried out experimental investigations to evaluate the egress performance of the existing egress guide-lights and new luminous egress guide-lines. The results showed that both luminous egress guide-lines and egress guide-light satisfied the basic performance of KFI requirements. Under the 7 % smoke transmittance, however, luminous egress guide-lines showed 3 times longer visibility and less evacuation time than egress guide-lights. The evacuation density and smoke transmittance have significant effect on the evacuation time increase without the luminous egress guide-lines, however little effect with the installation.
The purpose of this study was to find the role of participation in common activities and satisfaction with common space in a tentative housing adjustment framework for Swedish cohousing residents, applying the housing adjustment behavior model of Morris and Winter (1978, 1996). The data used for this research were a subset of data Choi and Paulsson (2011) surveyed from 12 Swedish cohousing units. Number of 216 cases whose age was 40 and over were selected and analyzed with Pearson correlations and hierarchical linear regressions by SPSS. The regression analyses included four main concepts as endogenous variables, which were participation in common activities, satisfaction with common space, overall life satisfaction, and intention to move out. The results showed that participation in common activities raised satisfaction with common space and overall life satisfaction but reduced intention to move out. Meanwhile, satisfaction with common space diminished intention to move out but did not impact overall life satisfaction. When overall life satisfaction was added to the final regression model, the direct impacts of security reasons, participation in common activities, and satisfaction with common space on intention to move out disappeared. It may be concluded that participation in common activities and satisfaction with common space acted as intervening variables in the tentative cohousing adjustment framework. Even though this study leaves further research on specifying the framework, it may be noteworthy as a first attempt that explains the flow of main concepts. This study may broaden the possibility of empirical studies to develop an analytical path model of housing adjustment for cohousing residents.

Apartment brand has been used as a new strategy in Korean housing market to fulfill customer's changing needs for buying houses. A number of construction companies have succeeded in brand awareness and image building, however, they still struggle to establish brand loyalty and manage brand equity elements in balance. The purpose of this study is to analyze the brand equity building process of apartment products in Korean housing market and determine causal relationships among variables to propose strategies for long-term prosperity of the construction companies. System Dynamics modeling method is applied to describe how variables affect and are linked to each other in terms of building equity and enhancing company profits from customers' brand awareness to brand loyalty. Based on the analysis model, strategies for construction companies depending on their market share were proposed and this may support the company to achieve financial success and competitiveness among its competitors in the fast-changing market.

It made an application of SPSS 12.0 to analyze the importance of wine buyers' choice attribution based on the demographical characteristics and use behavior with such analysis methods as the frequency analysis, the factor analysis, the reliability test, ANOVA and multiple regression. The results are summarized as follows. First, it showed that there are significant differences between buying and drinking wine by producing countries, buying places, prices, companions except for the number of drinking times, drinking places, and information sources. This study was performed to examine the strategy method for the sustainable stability and effectiveness of small and medium hospital, where the relationship between perceptual satisfaction and expectation factors for special hospital was analyzed. The structural questionnaire was given to the residents of Busan and Gyungnam over the age of 20 and the square contingency and the logistical regression were employed for the analysis of the results. First, the respondent with 68.0% has realized the hospital claiming to be characterization as the special hospital and the Ministry of Health and Welfare designated hospital was identified to the respondent of 21.3%. Second, perceptual satisfaction with expectation level was satisfied to the most visitor in case of visiting special hospitals with subjective perception and was confirmed to the intention of revisiting consistently. Third, for the perceptual satisfaction of visiting with expectation level, the safety and the quality of treatment affected significantly the cause-and-effect. The result has provided the useful information with the establishment of a strategy for the long-term and continued effect through the perceptual satisfaction and the emotional attachment.
