Cause Analysis on Dry of stream flow for the Ui-Cheon (우이천의 건천화 원인분석)

  • 건천화란 하천이 건천이 되어가는 과정이라고 할 수 있다. 그러나 이의 정량적 접근이 어려운 이유는 건천이 되어가는 과정에 대한 현상을 지속적으로 관찰하기 어렵고, 순수한 자연현상이라기보다 인위적 요소가 간섭한 결과이기 때문이다. 본 연구는 건천이 되어가는 하천 중에서도 도시화에 의한 건천화의 영향이 큰 것으로 보이는 우이천 유역에 대해 건천화의 원인을 분석하여 몇 가지 결론과 대책을 제시하였다. 우이천은 유역면적 $27.67km^2$, 유로연장 11.75km의 비교적 좁은 면적 내에 인구 461,351명이 거주하고 주변 행정구역 총 인구가 604,282명인 지방2급하천이다. 유역 내 북부와 북서부의 산악지역을 통과하는 상류는 대부분 계류(溪流)로서 자연상태를 유지하고 있으나, 중${\cdot}$하류는 양안의 셋방, 복개, 직강화, 보 및 낙차공 등 인공구조물로 인해 하천형상이 크게 왜곡되어 있는 전형적인 도시하천유역이다. 본 연구는 우이천에 대한 건천화 원인분석을 위해 크게 4가지 방봅으로 접근하였는데 반분포형 유출모형인 TOPMODEL에 의한 장기유출분석, 수문${\cdot}$기상자료에 의한 분석, 인문${\cdot}$사회자료의 분석, 지하수위 분석 등이었다. 분석결과 우이천 유역과 같이 장기간에 걸쳐 도시화가 진행된 유역은 수문순환계의 왜곡이 돌이킬 수 없는 수준이므로, 적절한 건천화 방지대책의 방향은 건천화의 원인이 되는 인자를 제거함으로써 줄어든 유량을 회복하는 방안보다는 인위적이고 강제적인 방식으로 추가적인 하천수량을 확보하는 것이 타당하다 사료된다. 하천의 건천화는 하나의 주된 원인이 지배적일 수도 있지만 간접적인 영향이 많고, 하나의 원인이 다른 인자에 영향을 주어 연쇄적인 영향을 미칠 수도 있는 복잡한 현상이다. 따라서 다양한 각도에서 다양할 접근방식으로 방지대책을 수립하여야 할 것이다.적에 따른 임계지속기간과 유출량의 변화를 검토해 보았다.이를 각각의 경우의 해석해 결과와 비교${\cdot}$분석하였다. 후방추적 퍼프모형은 전방추적 퍼프모형에 비하여 사용된 퍼프수와 관계없이 작은 오차를 발생하였으며, 전체적으로 퍼프 모형이 입자모형보다는 훨씬 적은 수의 계산을 통해서도 작은 오차를 나타낼 수 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 그러나 Gaussian 분포를 갖는 퍼프모형은 전단흐름에서의 긴 유선형 농도분포를 모의할 수 없었고, 이에 관한 오차는 전단계수가 증가함에 따라 비선형적으로 증가하였다. 향후, 보다 다양한 흐름영역에서 장${\cdot}$단점 분석 및 오차해석을 수행한 후에 각각의 Lagrangian 모형의 장점만을 갖는 모형결합 방법을 제시할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.mm/$m^{2}$로 감소한 소견을 보였다. 승모판 성형술은 전 승모판엽 탈출증이 있는 두 환아에서 동시에 시행하였다. 수술 후 1년 내 시행한 심초음파에서 모든 환아에서 단지 경등도 이하의 승모판 폐쇄 부전 소견을 보였다. 수술 후 조기 사망은 없었으며, 합병증으로는 유미흉이 한 명에서 있었다. 술 후 10개월째 허혈성 확장성 심근증이 호전되지 않아 Dor 술식을 시행한 후 사망한 예를 제외한 나머지 6명은 특이 증상 없이 정상 생활 중이다 결론: 좌관상동맥 페동맥이상 기시증은 드물기는 하나, 영유아기에 심근경색 및 허혈성 심근증 또는 선천성 승모판 폐쇄 부전등을 초래하는 심각한 선천성 심질환이다. 그러나 진단 즉시 직접 좌관상동맥-대동맥 이식술로 수술적 교정을 해줌으로써 좋은 성적을 기대할 수 있음을 보여주었다.특히 교사들이 중요하게 인식하는 해방적 행동에 대한 목표를 강조하여 적용할 필요가 있음을 시사하고 있다.교하여 유의한 차이가 관찰되지 않았다. 또한 HSP 환자군에서도 $IL1RN^{*}2$ allele 빈도와 carria

Evaluation of Separation Distance from the Temporary Storage Facility for Decontamination Waste to Ensure Public Radiological Safety after Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant Accident (후쿠시마 원전 사고 이후 일반인의 방사선학적 안전성 확보를 위한 제염폐기물 임시저장시설 이격거리 평가)

  • The object of this study was to evaluate the separation distance from a temporary storage facility satisfying the dose criteria. The calculation of ambient dose rates took into account cover soil thickness, facility size, and facility type by using MCNPX code. Shielding effects of cover soil were 68.9%, 96.9% and 99.7% at 10 cm, 30 cm and 50 cm respectively. The on-ground type of storage facility had the highest ambient dose rate, followed by the semi-ground type and the underground type. The ambient dose rate did not vary with facility size (except $5{\times}5{\times}2m\;size$) due to the self-shielding of decontamination waste in temporary storage. The separation distances without cover soil for a $50{\times}50{\times}2m\;size$ facility were evaluated as 14 m (minimum radioactivity concentration), 33 m (most probably radioactivity concentration), and 57 m (maximum radioactivity concentration) for on-ground storage type, 9 m, 24 m, and 45 m for semi-underground storage type, and 6 m, 16 m, and 31 m for underground storage type.

  • PVC pipe has excellent corrosion resistance and chemical resistance and is broadly used. However there are no regulations regarding exposed piping material in buildings. There is growing concern about the vulnerability of piping to fires and generating toxic gas. Exposed piping should be made of incombustible materials to prevent spreading of toxic gas and to minimize damage to life and property in case of fire. Many big structures are being built, and concerns regarding damage by fire are continuously growing. In these circumstances, we should reinforce fire safety standards for buildings and heighten safety consciousness to become a well-developed country. For these reasons, we investigated the materials used for exposed piping and the standards of well-developed countries to enhance safety. We tried to figure out the alternatives by examining the actual conditions of each region's buildings. Based on the use of incombustible materials for exposed piping in each region, we tried to enhance the effectiveness for safety by suggesting revisions for related laws and regulations.

Development and Validation of a Short Form of the Age-Friendly Community Scale (고령친화도시 점검 단축형 척도의 개발과 타당화 연구)

  • This study aimed to develop the short-form of age-friendly scale which was suitable for the Korean cities and to examine the validity. To develop the scale, WHO and Seoul welfare foundation's age-friendly city guide were compared and analyzed. The data for this study were collected on people aged over 55 years old living in Seoul. The results in exploratory factor analysis showed that seven-factor structure model was appropriate for the scale. Seven factors were outdoor amenity, transportation, leisure activity, social participation, social communication, health and welfare service, social exclusion. The results supported the construct and concurrent validity of the age-friendly scale. Also its good internal consistency was confirmed. The implication and limitation of the study and suggestions for the future studies were discussed.

  • In many parts of the world, climate warming has caused tremendous environmental disasters to repeat every year. Overuse of fossil fuels, the main source of energy, has affected the global environment, destroying the global ecosystem and depleting resources. To overcome this, efforts to reduce carbon emissions through the development of renewable energy are being actively studied at home and abroad. Already, new technologies are being reported abroad to reduce carbon emissions. Zero Energy House is a model that reduces low carbon emissions and energy use due to the use of high-density materials for high-heated materials, and can live in real life by receiving the minimum required energy through renewable energy. Although the government is trying to apply this in Korea, it is difficult to become common because of the lack of economic feasibility. The purpose of this study is to study models that can zero carbon emissions, which are eco-friendly elements, secure construction economy of zero energy house by using ventilation system, heat exchanger and energy storage system for public use, and attach automation system to window opening/closing to maintain indoor temperature.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the present conditions of the pilotis spaces of the public apartment housing and to suggest the future planning means of the spaces. At the present time, most of the pilotis space has been constructed in wall-bearing method. However, post and beam method(or Rahmen) will be used due to the municipal public-housing policy. Observation of seven(7) different locations and twenty-eight(28) blocks, and interview with the residents were employed to gather the data. Regarding functional relevance, six types of the space were selected, and planning suggestions for each type were followed. Among others, the conclusions include: the pilotis space should be planned as an interior for the future, as well as it should be open enough to secure the view from the surroundings.

Studies in the Consumption and Preference for Sprout Vegetables (새싹채소의 기호도 및 이용 실태)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the use and perception of adults concerning sprout vegetables. Self-administered questionnaires were collected from 516 residents in the Daegu and Gyeonbuk areas. When purchasing sprout vegetables, respondents answered that they considered freshness, eco green, and price. Consumers purchased sprout vegetables to make bibimbap (58.9%) and salad (29.3%). Approximately 81.4% of respondents answered that they purchased sprout vegetables in grocery and department stores. Once or twice per month was the highest purchase frequency for sprout vegetables. Regarding knowledge of sprout vegetables, radish sprout score was the highest (3.14), whereas preference was highest for barley grass (3.00). When asked how much they like sprout vegetable menus, subjects responded that they liked bibimbap (3.79), salad (3.73) and bibim noodles (3.58). As a result, popularization of sprout vegetables was based on product quality factor and sales promotion factor significantly influenced preference for sprout vegetable menus. To increase consumption of sprout vegetables, there is a need for hygiene and safety of sprout products and variations and improvement of quality.

An Experimental Study on the Estimation for the Flow Coefficient of Elevator Hoistway (엘리베이터 승강로의 유량계수 산정에 관한 실험 연구)

  • Recently, evacuation safety of building resident become the major concern, as the building has been higher and more complicated. Required evacuation time using stairway is longer in high-rise buildings, moreover it is impossible for the disabled to evacuate by using stairway. For this reason the study on the effectiveness of using elevator for evacuation is progressing. This study shows the flow coefficient of hoistway when elevator is moving. The results of this study can be used for the study of elevator piston effect as basic data. Experiments were performed in 5 different hoistways at 3-story and 2-story buildings. According to the result of flow coefficient experiments, average flow coefficient is 0.954. Considering the $4{\sigma}$ to guarantee 99.99 % reliance, it is 0.86. This result is 3.6 % bigger than 0.83 that Klote and Tamura suggested. It represents that the maximum critical pressure is decreased about 7 % on the same condition of elevator and elevator shaft. When the smoke control performance of high-rise building is evaluated, the result is significant economically by applying a more realistic and less value of elevator piston effect.

  • This paper showed how to apply BIM technology to customized interior design process(CIDP) in order to reduce the heavy workload of stakeholders who are involved in the customized house project. Recently the customers wanted their living space to make a different from others in the field of interior design in particular, therefore, this dissertation focused on the process of the determination of the interior plan through the communication between clients and workers. This thesis indicated the interior design process with IDEF${\emptyset}$ in order to show how many kinds of information workers and expected residents made and shared in the each step of CIDP. BIM in the customized interior design procss is useful to correct drawing errors, help customers' decision-making by showing the 3D model for their own house and decrease the heavy workload of workers concerned by using BIM estimating system.

A Comparative Analysis of Foreign Higher Education Recognition Systems in Australia and New Zealand (호주와 뉴질랜드의 해외학위인정제도 비교분석)

  • The number of foreign qualification holders has been on the rise due to the globalization and the development of transportation. As in other developed nations, Korea faces the growing demand for foreign higher education recognition (FHER) since the number of foreign students and migrant workers has reached about one million recently. Unfortunately, there has been no FHER system in Korea so far. In this context, this study has compared the cases of Australia and New Zealand. The results reveal that these two countries are similar in that both of them have developed their own FHER system in order to attract highly qualified foreign workers and students. However, they are different in terms of the implementation of the FHER system and the development of the FHER database. Besides, the cases of both countries shed light on the key issues related to the FHER. Taken together, they provide significant implications for the Korean government which has to develop its own FHER system in the near future.
