Verification and Improvement of Structural Behavior Response Performance Evaluation Method for the Standard Establishment of Adhesive Composite Waterproofing Sheets (점착형 복합 방수시트의 표준(안)제정을 위한 구조물 거동대응성능 시험방법 개선 및 검증 평가 연구)

  • In April 2019, this study was enacted as a test method for the performance of waterproof layers in an environment where complex deterioration and structural behavior are simultaneously applied, but some existing standards were implemented to point out the errors of the method that should be supplemented. Thus, in establishing standards for (tentative) adhesive waterproofing sheets, field workability and quantification of test results were studied on the structural behavior response performance test methods included as test items. In addition, the performance evaluation of adhesive-type composite waterproof sheets was conducted based on the considered contents to review improvements such as applicability as an item of standard standards and field workability related problems.

  • As structure and the waterproofing material are compressed through the backfilling process after the waterproofing material is installed on the underground structure at the actual site, there is a difference between the behavioral response force of the waterproofing material in the compressed state and the behavioral response force in the non-constrained state. In this regard, we will analyze the limitations of the current structural behavioral response evaluation and suggest an improvement plan so that the future test and evaluation environment can be evaluated under conditions similar to the field.

  • Recently, as construction market scale is getting bigger and transportation industry is developing, the underground structure construction such as subway, tunnel (excavation box) or shield tunnel structure is becoming more diverse, and its demand is gradually increasing. However, for the concrete structures constructed underground, the water leakage is occurred due to the expansion joint and construction joint, or movement, uneven settlement, excessive load and vibration during application causing cracks. Many waterproofing method and materials are used in jobsites, but areas such as underground railroad and subway that has movement and vibration at all times, the ability of waterproofing layer is declined causing repetitive water leakage due to crack, erosion and separation, which is a vicious cycle. Therefore, this study evaluates the responsiveness to a movement for adhesive/flexible waterproofing material that can cope with the vibration and the movement of the structure. Also to recommend a waterproofing technology that can cope with structure movement through examples of actual jobsite applications such as subway and tunnel where there are constant movement and vibration.

  • In this study, we has a purpose to estimate the joint movement responsiveness performance for the domestic products of one-component structural silicon sealants. For this purpose, we make a comparative study for the four domestic products focused on tensile properties after allowed the cyclic-movements for three days at initial step of curing phase. A joint movement range ±10% and the rate of compression and extension 3.2mm/h were assumed in those tests. As a result, the large space were induced inside the sealant by rupture, and then adhesion and cohesion failures were caused by stress concentration. The tensile properties were reduced by 15~60% in comparison with physical properties. In this case, the generating defect was caused and the service-life was decreased. Thus, further researches as relationship of test condition and products properties on this behavior would be studied.

  • The test method to be developed is to determine whether the waterproof layer applied to the leak-prone part such as cracks and joints has defects such as tearing or lifting of the waterproof layer due to the influence generated from the behavior of the structure under complex deterioration conditions. This is to evaluate the performance of the waterproofing method afterwards. Therefore, by notifying only the pass or fail, the unique mechanical properties of the material or method used are notified to the test client to limit the physical properties of the test body, thereby determining and supplementing the weaknesses of the user material in advance to improve the high quality. We want to prevent damage from water leakage through production and distribution of materials.

  • In securing durability of underground structure non-exposed waterproof materials, the company aims to improve durability of waterproof materials by studying more realistic weather conditions than KS standards and developers' durability standards. Analyzing the actual climate data in Korea and the temperature of the basement layer, it is a waterproofing sheet method, a self-adhesive sheet method in which a film and a compound, which are currently widely used as underground water-proofing, and a self-adhesive waterproofing sheet method, etc. We would like to present the guidelines necessary to prevent the temperature situation and waterproof defects that are ideal for setting the endurance conditions later.

  • 최근 성능기준에 의한 평가규정이 시행된 건축물 내화충전구조에 대해 관련 제도운영체계와 국내외 성능평가방법 및 성능기준을 살펴본 후 현재 기준의 보완점과 향후 개선방안에 대해 고찰하였다. 내화충전구조는 방화구획의 기능을 완성시키는 중요한 부분으로서 연구개발 및 시장활성화가 필요하며, 현장 품질을 확보 유지할 수 있는 관리체계가 필요하다. 한편 내화성능 뿐만 아니라 구조거동에 대한 대응 및 내구성에 대한 기술기준의 보완 마련이 필요하다.

  • 현재 국내에서 사용하고 있는 교량구조물의 성능평가방법으로는 크게 공용하중에 대한 내하율을 구하기 위하여 허용응력개념이나 강도설계 개념을 적용한 내하력 평가 기법이 사용되고 있다. 그러나 위의 방법들은 일반적으로 공용연수의 경과에 따른 재료 및 구조적 성능의 손실과 여러 가지 하중 및 환경적 요인들의 불확실성으로 인하여 발생하는 손상 및 열화를 반영하기 어렵다. 그리고 제원 및 재료물성치의 불확실성에 대한 기존 설계 자료의 DB 부족으로 기존의 평가방법에서는 이러한 시간의 경과에 따른 성능저하를 정확히 산정할 수 없어 이론상의 값과 실제 구조물과의 차이로 인한 불확실성이 존재 한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 공용년수 경과에 따른 시설물의 재료 구조적인 성능 및 거동분석 수행, 신뢰성 해석 수행을 바탕으로 교량 안전성 평가의 합리성 및 현실성을 제고하며, 구조 신뢰성 해석을 수행함으로써 실제 구조물의 강도 한계상태에 대한 파괴확률을 산정하고 그에 대응하는 위험도를 평가함으로써 안전성 검토를 수행하였다.

  • The massive structures are not free to move with vibration, differential settlement, thermal stresses because, construction and expansion joint, crack etc., can be large enough to cause leakage as deformation of waterproofing. It has been depended on the test method of tensile/tear strength which is waterproofing performance as behavior of concrete structure crack. However, not to practically confirm the creep applied to concrete surface, even waterproofing membrane have more performance than definite strength and elasticity. Therefore, in this study will focus on the test method to consider a resistance performance about loose adhesion and deformation of waterproofing and behavior of concrete structure as construction/expansion joint, crack. Performance test method on the influence as behavior of concrete structure crack is to choose waterproofing materials and construction method which possible to confront with behavior of 50mm crack in the atmosphere and low temperature. Examine the deformation of waterproofing membrane and loose adhesion which can occur to structure in general job site, suggest standard testing method to analyze correlation waterproofing membrane and structure with 5-types of materials used in this study, such as Adhesion membrane and sheet complex, sheet and urethane complex, self-adhesive sheet, spray poly-urea, spray membrane of rubberized Asphalt.
