Analysis and Improvement Practise of Drainage Problem on Soil Profile at the Golf Course Fairway (골프코스 페어웨이 지반 토양의 배수불량 원인과 개선방안)

  • Research was focused on the improvement of poor drainage problems on golf course fairway which had not been performed soil test or properly amended during the course construction. The analysis of the drainage problem basically was caused by a deterioration of soil physical properties by the top layer compaction. The soil hardness reached about 3,000 Kpa around 5~6 cm of soil profile. The slow infiltration speed to subsoil by the compaction was caused directly a poor drainage capacity. However, the properly amended sand soil showed an apparent value of 1,500 Kpa through the subsoil. The water content test showed a similar result that higher rate of 20~30% and ideal rate of 8~12% at poor drainage area and successfully amended area, respectively. However, an imported topsoil media which had higher content of silt and clay from a trans-planted sod had made a heterogeneous soil profile and that caused a poor drain capacity by a low infiltration rate. Those drainage problems triggered to buildup a reduced soil layer by poor soil gas exchange. The soil environment of deoxidation enhanced anaerobic microbial population and induced methane gas build-up to 55 ppm, and that resulted an adverse effect on turf growth by root growth retardation, consequently.

Developmental Process of Forest Policy Direction in Korea and Present Status of Forest Desolation in North Korea (남북한 산림정책의 전개과정과 북한의 산림황폐지 실태)

  • This study analyzed on the developmental process of forest policy direction in Korea and present status of forest desolation in North Korea of the pre and post division of the Korean peninsular with historical point of view and indicates future tasks to take. Forests in Korea were destroyed in the early of 1900s while Korean peninsular was under Japanese colonial rule. In 1945, Korea was divided into two parts, which developed its own forest policy under the different political system. South Korea was at Korean war in 1950 and accomplished the greening movement from 1970s to 1980s. After 1990s, the country has aimed to sustainable forest management. North Korea has focused on forestation until 1960. However, the result has been doubtful with North Korean economic depression, and these days North Korea faces forest desolation due to failures of forest management. Therefore, necessary is that recovery measures for forest desolation in North Korea, cooperation and interchange between North and South Korea and plans of forest management in case of unification.

  • With the structure of tilde-area computing system which Is specified by a researching team in Vrije University, Netherlands, lots of researchers and developers have been progressing the studies of global location and interconnection services of distributed objects existing in global sites. Most of them halve focused on binding services of only non-duplicated computational objects existing wide-area computing sites without any consideration of duplication problems. But all of objects existing on the earth rave the duplicated characteristics according to how to categorize their own names or properties. These objects with the same property can define as duplicated computational objects. Up to now, the existing naming or trading mechanism has not supported the binding services of duplicated objects, because of deficiency of independent location service. For this reason, we suggest a new model that can not only manages locations of duplicated objects In wide-area computing environments, but also provide minimum binding time by considering both the optimal selection of one of duplicated objects and load balance among distributed systems. Our model is functionally divided into 2 parts, one part to obtain an unique object handle of duplicated objects with same property as a naming and trading service, and the other to search one or more contact addresses by a node manager using a liven object handle, as a location service For location transparency, these services are independently executing each other. Based on our model, we described structure of wide-area integrated tree and algorithms for searching and updating contact address of distributed object on this tree. finally, we showed a federation structure that can globally bind distributed objects located on different regions from an arbitrary client object.

Interleaver Design for Mobile Satellite Communication Systems Using LTE based AMC Scheme (이동 위성통신 시스템에서의 LTE 기반 AMC 방식을 위한 인터리버 설계)

  • Due to the increasing demand of network convergence, in future, hybrid/integrated satellite and terrestrial systems will play an important role. In that case, compatibilities between the satellite and terrestrial systems are very important for efficiency of the systems. 3GPP Long Term Evolution (LTE) is one of the most powerful candidates of the 4G system Therefore, in this paper, we introduce the design of interleaver for mobile satellite system based 3GPP LTE specification. The 4G system including the LTE specification adopted adaptive modulation and coding (AMC) schemes for efficient usage of resources, and the updating interval of resource allocation is an order of msec. However, because of the long round trip delay of satellite systems, we cannot employ the same AMC scheme specified for the terrestrial system, and thus it cannot effectively counteract to short term fadings. Therefore, in order to overcome these problems, we propose an interleaver scheme combined with AMC. We present the interleaγer design results considering mobile satellite system based on the LTE and analyze the simulation results.

Flood Simulation with the Variation of Runoff Coefficient in Tank Model (탱크모형의 流出孔 乘數 변화를 고려한 홍수모의)

  • Rainfall intensity under storms affects peak discharge or its time of occurrence in watershed runoff. Thus, it is reasonable to reflect the effect on the parameters of rainfall-runoff models or the governing equations of the models. This paper relates the change of the runoff coefficient of the first tank in tank model to rainfall intensity under storms. The standard four tanks have made the basic structure of the flood event model. and its modifications are as follows: it has two equal runoff coefficients in the first tank: the runoffs from first and second tanks produce delayed response through a simple delaying parameter. Applying the event simulation model to flood data from Naerinchon. runoff coefficients were estimated and their relation to rainfall intensity was analyzed. The results showed the Weak relation of the two factors. The trend of the two was fitted with the equation a1=kI$. where a1is the runoff coefficient of the first tank: I is rainfall intensity; k and m are fitting coefficients. In the verification. the model used moving averages for the calculation of I(t). If the value I(t) gave more greater value of a1(t) than that of previous time(t-1). the flood simulation was performed again from the beginning with the updated greater value of a1. The reflection of rainfall intensity on the runoff coefficient showed far better results than that of a fixed parameter.

  • Recently, importance of pedestrian road network is getting emphasized as it is possible to provide mobile device users with both route guidance services and surrounding spatial information. However, it costs a tremendous amount of budget for generating and renovating pedestrian road network nationally, which hinder further advances of these services. Hence, algorithms extracting pedestrian road network automatically based on raster data are needed. On the other hand, road dataset generated from raster data usually has unnecessary vertices which lead to maintenance disutility such as excessive turns and increase in data memory. Therefore, this study proposed a method of selecting a proper threshold automatically for separate road entity using not only Douglas-Peucker algorithm but also road attribute data of digital map in order to remove redundant vertices, which maximizes line simplification efficiency and minimizes distortion of shape of roads simultaneously. As a result of the test, proposed method was suitable for automatic line simplification in terms of reduction ratio of vertices and accuracy of position.

Comparison of Lidar data and NGIS digital topographic map data for an efficient flood configuration (효율적인 홍수범람모의용 지형자료구축을 위한 Lidar자료와 NGIS 수치지형도 자료의 비교)

  • 최근 들어 국내에서도 홍수에 의한 재산과 인명피해를 최소화하기 위해 지역특성에 알맞은 홍수지도를 제작 중에 있으며, 주로 LiDAR를 이용하여 홍수지도 지형자료를 구축하고 있다. 그러나 이에 많은 시간과 비용이 소요되기 때문에 이미 전국적으로 구축된 수치지형도를 이용한 홍수지도 지형자료 구축의 가능성과 타당성을 검증의 필요성이 제기되고 있다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 수치지형도를 이용한 홍수지도제작시 가장 핵심이 되는 정확한 지형자료구축을 위해서 Breakline처리기법과 하천종횡단자료 연계방안을 중심으로 구리시 일부지역을 대상으로 DEM을 시범제작 하였다. 수치지형도와 LiDAR를 이용하여 구축한 DEM을 검수점을 통한 RMSE오차를 이용하여 수직위치정확도를 비교분석하였다. 분석을 위하여 선행연구(홍수지도제작, 2002)에서 검수점으로 사용한 9점과 제방부분의 실측한 9점을 본 연구의 검수점으로 사용하였다. 비교 결과 RMSE가 수치지형도 DEM의 경우 ${\pm}2.658m$이고, LiDAR DEM의 경우 ${\pm}3.430m$로 나타났다. 두 자료 모두 알려진 오차범위보다 훨씬 높은 오차가 발생함을 알 수 있었다. 향후 수치지형도를 이용한 효율적인 홍수지도 지형자료 구축을 위해서는 수치지형도의 신속하고 지속적인 갱신이 필요할 것이며, 현재 도시지역에만 구축되어 있는 1:1,000 수치지형도를 주변 하천지역까지 확대해서 구축해야 할 필요성이 있을 것으로 사료된다. 아울러 도입초기단계의 LiDAR 측량기술의 보급과 관련모델의 기술의 발달로 인하여 정확도 높은 DEM이 요구된다면 고밀도의 방대한 양의 LiDAR 자료로 DEM을 구축하는 것이 바람직하다고 사료된다.및 이용대책을 수립하는 데 활용될 수 있다., $1,000-2,000{\mu}g\;g^{-1}$), 나머지 177종 식물은 살초활성을 나타내지 않았다. 높은 살초활성을 나타낸 식물로부터 분리되는 천연활성물질들은 향후 새로운 제초제 개발을 위한 모화합물 제공, 상호대립억제 작용성을 갖는 작물 품종 개발 혹은 개량에의 활용, 그리고 친환경 유기농업용 잡초방제에의 활용이 기대된다.내(皮膚上皮組織內)의 Langerhans cell내(內)의 Birbeck granule에 비(比)해 수적(數的)으로 현저히 감소(減少)되어 있었다. 그러나 Thy-1 양성(陽性) dendritic cell에서 볼 수 있는 dense-core 과립(顆粒)은 별변화(別變化)없이 쉽게 관찰(觀察)될 수 있었다. 조직배양(組織培養)을 한 견(犬)의 keratinocyte에 대(對)해 사람 pemphigus vulgaris의 항체(抗體)로 반응(反應)시킨 후 protein-A gold(15 nm)로 표식(標識)시킨 바 제일 바깥 상층(上層)의 keratinocyte에 있어서 세포막표면(細胞膜表面)을 따라 표식(標識)되어 세포막항원(細胞膜抗元)을 나타내었으며, 이와 같은 소견(所見)으로 미루어 정상피부(正常皮膚) 중층편평상피세포(重層扁平上皮細胞)에서도 동일(同一)한 소견(所見)을 관찰(觀察)할 수 있다고 본다.al remnants, Resorption of fetus로 관찰된 것이다.   • Recently not only industry but also academy have shown an intense interest in social networking service. However, reckless imitation will not guarantee the successful eco-system of social networking service without rich understanding of growth driver and business model. Hence, this study aims at analyzing open platform strategy and business model conducted by a representative social networking service provider in order to provide platform operator, network operator, and portal provider with meaningful implications. Advertisers may pay great attention to social networking service because it has strong ability to provide users with spontaneous motivation to manage and update their profile, and these valuable information can be utilized for providing personalized advertisement on social networking service. As a result, one side of consumers in two side market, advertisers, tend to pay more expenditure to place advertisements. In addition, the open platform adopted by social networking service providers causes pro-sumers to participate in the eco-system, and thereby the explosive quantitative growth is realized. The fact of that this open social networking service can invade other web service area via an unified platform indicates that it may expand its service scope into a wide variety of web service areas. Hence, domestic portal services providers and network providers should consider social networking service not as one of new web services but as an disruptive service platform. Corresponding to the emergence of social networking service, especially if their business area is related to display advertising market, they should seek a way to provide social networking service access users's newly updated information and develop innovative media technologies to enter context awareness ads market.

A Study on the Generation of DEM for Flood Inundation Simulation using NGIS Digital Topographic Maps (NGIS 수치지형도를 이용한 효율적인 홍수범람모의용 지형자료 구축에 관한 연구)

  • Nowadays, flood hazard maps have been generated to minimize the damages from the flooding. To generate such flood hazard maps, LiDAR data can be used as data source with higher data accuracy. LiDAR data, however, requires relatively higher cost and longer processing time. In this background, this study proposed DEM generation using NGIS digital topographic maps. For that, breaklines were processed to count directions of water flows. In addition, the river profile data, unique data source to represent real topography of the river area, were integrated to the breaklines to generate DEM. City of Kuri in Kyunggi Province was selected for this study and 1:1,000 and 1:5,000 topographic maps were integrated to process breaklines and river profile data were also linked to generate DEM. The generated DEM showed relatively lower vertical accuracy from mixing 1:1,000 and 1:5,000 topographic maps since 1:1,000 topographic maps were not available for some portion of the area. However, the DEM generated demonstrated reasonable accuracy and resolution for flood map generation as well as higher cost saving effects. On the contrary, for more efficient utilization of NGIS topographic maps, periodic map updating needs to be made including technical consideration in building breaklines and applying interpolation methods.

Changes in Soil Chemical Properties after Thinning in Quercus acuta stand (간벌 후 붉가시나무 임분의 토양 특성 변화)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the changes in soil chemical properties after thinning for a Quercus acuta stand in Wan-do Arboretum, Jeollanam-do. The stem density after thinning was determined referring to that of Quercus acutissima with 10 cm diameter at breast height and soil samples were collected 7 years after thinning. There was no considerable difference in soil pH values after thinning. However, the concentrations of soil organic matter, total nitrogen and available phosphorus significantly increased after thinning. In addition, thinning significantly increased cation exchange capacity (C.E.C) and the concentrations of exchangeable cations ($K^+$, $Na^+$, $Ca^{2+}$, and $Mg^{2+}$). From this study, it was revealed that the nutrient concentrations of this study site were generally lower than those of other forest soils. Therefore, it is need to improve the warm temperate forests through thinning and to develop forest treatment for regeneration.
