  • OSP 에서 주로 사용되는 Drop Cable 은 통신단말인 단자함에서 통신전주 두상에 설치된 인입클램프 걸이에 인입클램프를 취부하고, 가공구간을 통해 가입자 댁으로 가설을 하며, 가입자 댁의 일정한 지점에 인입벽철 또는 인입용 훅을 설치하고, 인입클램프를 체결하여 Drop Cable 의 이도 및 루트를 고려하여 개통공사를 완성하여 해당서비스를 공급하게 된다. 이때, 사용되는 Drop Cable 은 일반적으로 자기지지를 할 수 있는 "8" 형태의 자기지지형 Drop Cable 을 주로 이용하였으나, 광섬유를 이용하는 FTTH 사업에서는 서비스 개통시 "0" 형태의 Optical Drop Cable(광옥외선)을 사용하여 개통작업의 시공성 및 생산성을 향상 시켰다. 이에 사용되는 적합한 인입광 클램프는 광옥외선의 외형적인 구조에 손상을 전가하여서는 안되며, 광옥외선 내부의 광섬유에 손상을 가하지 않는 최소의 손실을 가지며, 일정한 인장력을 유지하고 있어야 한다. 따라서, 위의 사항을 고려한 인입 광클램프의 특성에 대해 고찰하고자 한다.

  • 해방후 3대산업선 건설시만 해도 철도건설기술은 토목공사의 선구자였다. 그러나 1960년대 경부고속도로 개통으로 도로기술이 앞서게 되고 철도의 발전도 침체되어 오다가, 시속 300km/h의 경부고속철도가 2004년 개통을 앞두고 있는 현 시점에서 비로소 철도의 효용성을 알게 되었고 대도시의 대중교통에서도 역시 지하철이 최선임을 알게 되었을뿐만 아니라 남북화해에 가장 뜻 있는 경의선 남북 철도 연결과 대륙간 연장 운행의 필요성으로 그 의의가 크게 되어 이제야말로 우리나라 철도의 르네상스 시대가 도래한 것 같다.(중략)

  • 인구의 도시집중화에 따른 교통문제와 생활공간의 확보문제가 서울시가 가지고 있는 여러 가지 문제들 중의 하나이다. 이중 교통문제의 해결을 위해 서울시가 추진하고 있는 정책중 지하철 건설은 밀집화된 시의 공간활용 측면에 있어서 필연적이라고 할 수 있다. 서울시 지하철은 1974년 제 1호선 개통이래 1999년 7월에 제 8호선이 완전 개통됨으로서 40% 이상의 높은 수송 분담율을 기록하고 있다. 그러나 이러한 양적인 증가에 반해 공간적인 밀폐성으로 인한 대기, 소음, 진동 등의 환경 위해성이 논란의 대상이 되고 있다.   • The purpose of this study is to propose ways to revitalize the local economy by analyzing the index changes and tourism big data before and after the opining of the KTX on the Gangneung Line in Gangneung City, where the population continues to decline. For This, the main current status of Gangneung-si and internal operation record data(DTG) of Gangneung-si were analyzed. After that, changes in the movement behavior of public transportation users before and after the opening of the KTX Gangneung Line were compared. As a result, it was possible to observe changes in tourist transportation preferences, demographic shifts, alterations in small-scale business sectors and in the travel patterns of tourists within the city of Gangneung. In particular, changes in the small business sector have shown an increase in general restaurants, leisure food establishments(cafes, etc.), and accommodation facilities following the opening of the KTX Gangneung Line. All three sectors have experienced growth concentrated in the vicinity of Gangneung Station, indicating the influence of Gangneung Station, which opened in the central part of Gangneung city, following the inauguration of the KTX Gangneung Line.

Clinical Analysis of Arteriovenous Fistulas for Hemodialysis (혈액 투석을 위한 동정맥루 조성술의 임상적 고찰)

  • Background: Proper construction of vascular access and adequate maintenance are essential for the prognosis of the hemodialysis patients. Though arteriovenous fistula using autogenous vessel is the first of choice, the incidence of arteriovenous fistula using artificial graft is gradually increasing. The aim of this study was to analyse the patency rates between autogenous and artificial fistula, among artificial graft types, according to the accompanied disease. Material and Method: A retrospective study was conducted on 186 patients who underwent 292 arteriovenous fistula operations for hemodialysis at Korea University Guro Hospital between 1996 and 2000. Mean age of the patients was 54.37 $\pm$ 12.79years, and the male: female ratio 99:87. Result: Among 292 operations, there were 156 autogenous fistula and 116 graft fistula. The other 20 operations were thrombectomy, takedown of graft, revision, and balloon dilatation. Patency rates of autogenous fistula were 92.78 $\pm$ 2.35% at 1 year and 39.03$\pm$9.08% at 5 years, and those of graft fistula were 96.09 $\pm$ 2.22% at 1 year and 16.45 $\pm$ 10.15% at 5 scars. However, there was no statistical significance between the two operations. The patients who had hypertension, diabetes or both had no statistical significance in the patency rate compared to that of patients without underlying disease. In addition, the type of graft used did not affect the patency rate. Second operation was needed in 62 patients and third operation in 31 patients, but their patency rate again had no statistical significance compared to that of the first operation. Conclusion: The patency of the artificial graft fistula was comparable to the autogenous fistula, but the patency according to types of graft need to be studied further. Furthermore, the underlying diseases did not affect the fistula patency.

The Study on the Situation and Development of High Speed Rail in Each Countries (각국의 고속철도 현황과 발전에 관한 연구)

  • 우리나라는 2004년 4월 경부고속철도개통을 앞두고 마지막 준비를 하고 있다. 1964년10월 고속철도를 가장 먼저 개통한 일본을 비롯한 프랑스, 독일 등은 이미 고속철도가 철도교통의 중심은 물론 각국의 교통수송에 높은 비중을 차지하고 있다. 2001년에 일본이 경우 1일 773,951명을 수송하고 있으며, 프랑스는 228,714명을 수송하고 있다. 세계적으로도 고속철도는 2000년 현재 유럽이 15,350km, 아시아는 2,152,9km를 운영 중에 있는데 이는 2010년에는 유럽은 41,350km, 아시아는 4,755.7km로 증가될 전망이다. 특히 아시아는 2005년 10월 개통예정인 대만의 타이페이와 카오슝의 345km를 비롯하여, 중국은 상해~북경의 1,330km를 2008년 ㅂ구경올림픽에 맞추어 개통을 준비하고 있다. 일본, 프랑스, 독일 등 고속철도의 운영국가들은 고속철도수송의 수송량이 급격하게 증가하고 있다. 프랑스는 인기준으로 1996년에 비해 2001년에 49.3%, 독인은 1996년에 비해 2001년에 70.1%의 증가치를 보이고 있다. 철도수송에서의 고속철도의 비중도 높아 인${\cdot}$km기준으로 일본은 29%, 프랑스는 48.3%, 독일은 15.9%를 차지하고 있다. 이러한 고속철도가 발전한 요인은 항공기와도 경쟁이 될 정도의 빠른 속도와 안전, 높은 사회경제적 효과에 기인하고 있다. 고속철도의 비중이 높은 일본의 경우는 개통 이래 현재까지 약 62억명을 수송하고 있는데 사망사고는 한건도 없었다. 또한 1개 열차의 정시도착 오차는 24초에 불과하고, 항공기와도 경쟁력이 될 정도의 속도와 수송능력을 보유하고 있다. 실제로 500~700km구간에서 항공기와 고속철도이 경쟁이 치열한데 고속철도의 분담율이 67%를 차지하고 있다. 이러한 고속철도 발전으로 철도수송의 증가율에도 큰 영향을 미치고 있다. 프랑스와 독일의 경우는 자동차수송보다 철도수송이 최근 4년간 약 10%이상 증가하고 있는 것도 고속철도의 영향에 기인하고 있다. 고속철도의 또 다른 특징으로는 높은 유발수요효과로 일본의 신간선개통전후를 비교해 보면 예상치보다 약 6%~23%의 높은 수요유발효과를 보이고 있다. 이 결과 각궁의 고속철도는 매우 높은 수익성을 기록하고 있는데 일본은 개통 후 3년째 흑자를 기록하였고, 중국도 개통 후 7년에 단년도 흑자를 예상하고 있다. 이러한 고속철도의 발전에 기초해 유럽을 비롯하여, 아시아 등에서 고속철도의 건설이 더욱 가속화 될 것으로 예상되는데, 이러한 새로운 변화의 고속철도시대에 대비하여 우리나라도 장차 건설계획수립, 해외수출, 고속철도의 상호운영 등을 지금부터 계획을 수립하여 집행해야 할 것이다.

Time-related Histopathologic Changes of Fresh Frozen Vascular Xenograft in Pig-to-goat Model (돼지-염소 모델에서 신선 동결된 이종 경동맥 이식편의 시간 경과에 따른 조직병리학적 변화)

  • Background: As determined from the recent investigations of discordant cardiac xenotransplantation, hyperacute rejection occurs mainly at the endothelial cells in donor microvascular systems, but this does not occur at cardiac valve leaflets or at medium-to-large caliber vessels. On the basis of this background, this study was performed to look into the biocompatibility for transplantation of a middle or large diameter xenogenic blood vessel by conducting xenogenic arterial transplantation with the carotid artery in a pig-to-goat model. Material and Method: The experimental group was composed of 10 pairs of pig-to-goat combinations. They were divided into each period of 1 week, and 1, 3, 6 and 12 months. Four carotid artery grafts obtained through collection of the bilateral carotid arteries from two pigs were preserved at $-70^{\circ}C$ without other treatment, and then they were transplanted into the bilateral carotid arteries of two goats. Doppler ultrasonography was done on a periodic basis after transplantation to evaluate the patency of the grafted blood vessel. At the ends of a predetermined period, the grafts were explanted from the goats and they underwent gross examination. Hematoxylin-eosin and Masson's trichrome staining were conducted. In addition, in order to examine the immunological rejection of the grafted xenogenic blood vessel, immunohistochemical staining was conducted with T-lymphocyte indicator and von Willebrand factor. Result: Two goats at the each one-week period and the one-year period died during the experimental period because of a reason unrelated to the experimental procedure, and the remaining 8 goats survived until the end of each experiment period. On Doppler ultrasonography, unilateral carotid artery occlusion was found in a goat, whose period was specified as 3 months, among the 8 survived goats. However, the vascular patency was maintained well and there was no graft that formed aneurysms in the other goats. On gross examination, the region of vascular anastomosis was preserved well, and calcification of the grafted blood vessel was not shown. Histologically, the endothelial cells of the graft disappeared one week after transplantation, and then there was progressive spread of the recipients' endothelial cells from the anastomotic site. The reendothelialization occurred over the whole graft at one month after transplantation. The neointimal thickening and adventitial inflammation became severe by 3 months after transplantation, but this lessened at 6 months and 12 months, respectively. The rate of CD3 positive cells was very low among the infiltrated inflammatory cells. Conclusion: The fresh-frozen xenogenic artery kept its patency without being greatly influenced by xenogenic immune reaction.

Feasibility of Dacryoscintigraphy in Normal Dogs (정상 개에서 누비공신티그라피의 적용)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the value of dacryoscintigraphy with Tc-99 m Pertechnetate, which is useful in functional nasolacrimal duct obstruction diagnosis in human medical science, by applying it to normal dogs. Dacryoscintigraphy was performed on six clinically healthy beagle dogs to confirm normal passage of their lacrimal ducts. The scintigraphic images of both lacrimal system were obtained at 5 min, 10 min, and 20 min after Tc-99 m Pertechnetate administration, respectively. If lacrimal duct does not come into view within 20 min, delayed images at 30min, 45min and 60 min were gained. After drawing ROI of left and right canaliculus, lacrimal sac, and nasolacrimal duct acquired after dacryoscintigraphy, we measured each counting rate and developed a counting rate table for each time interval. Of the total of 12 places, 10 (83.3%) showed patency within 20 min, and 11 (91.6%) showed patency within 30 min. In one dog, a functional obstruction of right lacrimal canal was observed. Dacryoscintigraphy could provide useful information about functional and anatomical lacrimal duct obstruction in veterinary medicine as well as in clinical research.

Clinical Analysis of Arteriovenous Fistula in Chronic Renal Failure Patients (만성 신부전 환자에서의 동정맥루 조성술의 임상고찰)

  • Background: Owing to the fact that the average life span has increased and the progress in medical science has been made, the number of patients with chronic renal failure (CRF) who have to take hemodialysis (HD) has been going up gradually. Accordingly, it is considered to be as a significant issue to obtain blood vessels which can be used repetitively and supply enough blood flows. Therefore, there have been various kinds of study on an inosculation rate andfactors influencing it following an arteriovenous fistula (AV fistula) and lots of studies are ongoing for the purpose of escalating the inosculation rate. The authors analyzed the effects of short-term result, age, sex, diabetes and hypertension on arteriovenous inosculations in 134 anatomical snuffbox operated subjects among the patients who have taken an AV fistula at this center. Material and Method: Based on 134 patients who underwent an AV fistula at the department of thoracic surgery of this center from July, 2000 to May, 2004, the difference in arteriovenous inosculation rate was compared and analyzed depending or age (discriminated by 65-year-old), sex and the condition of the presence or absence of diabetes and hypertension. Correlation analyses were conducted for each parameter and statistical tests were performed by using SPSS for windows Release 11.0.1, which were determined to be statistically significant if p value was below 0.05. Result: The total number of operations was 169 including 35 of re-operations. The male/female rate was 70 : 64 (52% : 48%). The average age was $56.3{\pm}12.26$ years and there were 33 (24%) old aged patients above 65-year-old; there were 103 (71%) patients with hypertension and 90 (67%) patients with diabetes. Overall arteriovenous inosculation rate was $93{\pm}2.4%,\;91{\pm}2.7%,\;89{\pm}3.0%$ at 6, 12, 24 months, respectively. The arteriovenous inosculation rate of above 65-year-old patient group was $85{\pm}4.8%,\;80{\pm}5.8%,\;80{\pm}5.8%$ and below 64-year-old patient group's was $85{\pm}4.8%,\;80{\pm}5.8%,\;80{\pm}5.8%$ at given time points, respectively, which showed higher inosculation rate in below 64-year-old patient group with a statistical significance (p=0.0034). However, no statistical significance was found between the patients with hypertension and diabetes and the patients with no complication. In addition, there was no statistical significance in inosculation rate between male and female. Conclusion: The arteriovenous inosculation ratewas higher in the treated patient below 64-year-old than in the treated patient above 65-year-old. Thus it is advantageous for increase in long-term inosculation rate to obtain hemodialysis routes at an early age. The conditions of sex and the presence or absence of diabetes and hyper- tension do not make statistically significant effect on the arteriovenous inosculation rate.

Effectiveness Assessment of Additional Gate Installation at a Railway Station: Case Study at Gwang-Myeong Station (철도역 출입구 추가설치 시 효과 평가: 신안산선 광명역 사례를 중심으로)

  • When constructing railway stations, gates shall be located in appropriate locations for convenient use. However, to reduce construction costs, the number of gates was minimized and the location was not appropriately placed to the direction of many users. This study proposed a method to calculate the benefits of additional gate installations using the improvement of pedestrian traffic flow, occupied area and travel time as economic effects. In particular, a method of estimating the percentage of people using certain gates and the number of people by route within the station was proposed. This method was applied to analyze the effect of additional gates to Gwang-myeong Station on the Shinansan Line, which is to be opened in 2025. The effect has only improved in mobility. The first year of its opening was estimated at 5.91 billion won for mobility and 75.8 billion won for cost, and the B/C was 1.21 for 30 years after its opening. It is expected that this method will be applied to systematic effect analysis when additional gates are installed at unopened railway stations as well as existing railway stations.
