The Development of the Scale for the Elderly's Intention on Home Renovation (노인의 주택개조 의지 측정도구 개발)

  • This study aims to develop a scale to measure the elderly's intention on home renovation and to verify its validity. As a methodological study based on the theory of planned behavior, this study provides 26 preliminary items in the pre-test. The first main test, performed to verify the content validity of the developed items, was followed by a second test of construct validity and reliability. As the result of the content validity test targeting experts, some of the original 26 items were excluded, while others were combined for a total of 22. As the result of the construct validity test of the scale, targeting the elderly aged 65 and over, the 22 items were narrowed down to 14 items, excluding the items that were unsuitable for communality and Eigen value. After once more conducting a factor analysis, the items were classified into five factors with a total cumulative variance of 72.5% and a Cronbach's α of 0.75. This study will contribute to the discussion of housing for the elderly by giving force to environmental regeneration activities through facilitating the identification of the home owners' intentions to renovate in order to improve the physical environment in decayed areas at a public level.

A Methodology to Evaluate Economic Feasibility by Taking into Account Social Costs from Automobile Exhaust Gases (자동차 배기가스로 인한 사회적 비용을 고려한 경제성 평가 방법론)

  • Air pollutants have a high impact on everyday life as well as on human health; therefore, new technologies such as low-emission vehicles and add-on systems for air pollutant reduction are needed for our society. However, the environmental benefits and costs of those technologies are not taken into account in existing economic feasibility assessments, which is a barrier that needs to be overcome for green technology to achieve wide dissemination and fast penetration in the market. Thus, this study develops a methodology to assess the economic feasibility of an air pollutant reduction technology by taking into account the social costs from air pollutants and carries out a case study to validate the methodology. Because the social unit costs for air pollutants have not been evaluated yet in South Korea, the methodology uses the social unit costs evaluated for the European Union that are then converted to those for South Korea based on the measuring criteria for vehicle emission gases, parity purchasing price, foreign currency exchange rate, and customer price index. The social unit costs for South Korea are used to assess economic feasibility. A case study was performed to assess the economic feasibility of a dual fuel system using diesel and compressed natural gas by taking into account social costs from air pollutants as well as economic costs. This study could contribute to assessing the true economic feasibility of green technology, projects, and policy related with air pollutant reduction.

  • It is an objective of Shanghai urban development to quickly build Shanghai into one of the international centres of economy, finance and trade. To fulfil the objective, a rational urban general layout and a satisfactory traffic network are needed. As a metropolis with complete urban functions and specified geographical position, Shanghai must develop a perfect citytown system that best suits its composite urban distribution. In planning the central city, the principle of "open and multi-centred" and "optimization of land use" should be taken into consideration. To build a satisfactory urban traffic network, emphasis should be laid upon the construction of deefwater wharf, air-field and inforation centre. In addition, determination should be made to build a high-speed traffic means including high speed railroad and express highway so that a public traffic network is realised on and above ground, and underground. A solution of traffic preblem in Shanghai lies in good understanding of traffic policy and strenthening of strategic management combined with a rational layout of traffic circulation.

  • This study is a study to develop a configuration management methodology for efficient and systematic management in the event of configuration changes such as deformation, explosion, and remodeling of launch vehicle development test facilities, which are emerging as important national facilities in the era of full-scale space competition. Through the analysis of international standards for configuration management, a configuration management process framework to be applied to launch vehicle development test facilities is extracted, a survey was conducted on experts who performed life cycle engineering of launch vehicle development test facilities, and a configuration management methodology optimized for operation/management of domestic launch vehicle development test facilities was proposed. Identify the configuration for launch vehicle development test facilities, the configuration management manager, configuration management organization, and configuration management board approve/process the configuration changes, and after construction is completed according to design requirements, launch vehicle development test facilities try to manage the configuration in a controlled state.

  • 반도체 제조공정에서 매엽식 습식 식각 공정은 기판을 회전하면서 상하 면에 약액을 분사하는 형태로 박막을 식각한다. 이 때 기판은 척을 이용하여 고정되는 데 기판과 척이 접촉하는 가장자리 부분에서 약액의 흐름이 정체되거나 일정하지 못해 잔류막질이 남게 되고, 후속 공정에서 기판 오염의 문제를 야기하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 기판을 파지하는 여러 개의 척을 2개조로 나누어 교대로 파지하도록 하는 기능을 제시하였다. 2개 조의 척들은 자성체를 사용하여 고속 회전 중에 비접촉 방식으로 구동하였고 실제 약액 처리론 수행하여 효과를 관찰하였다. 결과적으로 기존 고정형 파지 방식에 비해 교차형이 기판 베벨면이나 에지면에서의 잔류 막질 제거에 탁월한 효과가 있음을 확인하였다.

  • 본 논문은 저비용이면서 정확한 제어를 수행하는 새로운 퍼지 제어기의 VHDL 설계 및 시뮬레이션을 다룬다. 제안한 퍼지 제어기 (Fuzzy Logic Controller : FLC)의 정확한 비퍼지화 연산시 소속값뿐 아니라 소속 함수의 폭을 고려함으로서 ?어진다. 제안한 퍼지 제어기 저비용성은 기존의 FLC를 다음과 같이 개조함으로서 이루어진다. 먼저, MAX-MIN 추론이 레지스터 파일의 형태로 쉽게 구현 가능한 read-modify-write 연산에 의해 대치된다. 두 번째, COG 비퍼지화기에서 요구하는 제산 연산을 모멘트 균형점의 탐색에 의해 피할 수 있다. 제안한 COG 퍼지화기는 곱셈기가 부가적으로 요구되며 모멘트 균형점의 탐색 시간이 오래 걸리는 단점이 있다. 부가적 곱셈기 요구에 의한 하드웨어 복잡도 증가 문제는 곱셈기를 확률론적 AND 연산에 의해 해결할 수 있고, 오랜 탐색 시간 문제는 coarse-to fine 탐색 알고리즘에 의해 크게 경감될 수 있다. 제안한 퍼지 제어기의 각 모듈은 VHDL에 의해 구조적 수준 및 행위적 수준에서 기술되고, 이들이 제대로 동작하는지 여부를 SYNOPSYS사의 VHDL 시뮬레이션 상에서 트럭 후진 주차 문제에 적용하여 검증하였다.

  • This study examined the remodeling characteristics of traditional urban housing for lease focusing on Hanok in the traditional urban housing neighborhood of Bukchon. Furthermore, the space syntax was used as the main analytic approach to objectively revealing the change in social properties of each spatial element because each room forms its status in the structural relation with many rooms and accommodates the special change in traditional housing and modern life. These findings revealed the following; spatial division between the landlord and tenant results in a hierarchical change in the yard and main hall and strengthens the privacy of the space of the landlord.

  • The advanced spent fuel conditioning process(ACP) was proposed to reduce considerably the overall volume and radioactivity for effective management of the PWR spent fuel in respects on safety and economy. The ACP is under research and development, and have scheduled to perform hot test for demonstration of the ACP after several years. For hot test, hot cell facility of ${\alpha}{\gamma}$ type possess conservative safety is required essentially. A existing hot cell of ${\beta}{\gamma}$ type will be refurbished to minimize construction expenditures of hot cell facility. In this study, the design requirements are established, and the process detail work flow was analysed for the optimum arrangement to ensure effective process operation in hot cell. And also, the basic and detail design of hot cell facility and process and safety analysis was peformed to secure conservative safety of hot cell facility and process.
