Traditional American values and American culture in English education (영어교육에서의 전통적 가치관과 미국문화)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate American traditional values and American culture in English education. The understanding of American culture in English education requires the analysis of world changes in the global age. The history of American English, the formation of American society, and the background of natural environment are described in relation to the traditional American values of the earliest settlers, such as multi-culture, individual freedom, frontier heritage in the West, equality of opportunity and wealth and material abundance. Hence the case studies of students' project presentations on the American culture in English education exemplify the reflection of American traditional values in the current American life and society. It is concluded that project-based method with regard to cultural studies in English education reveals very positive learning effects by driving students' interests and active participation through the student-centered, creative, and cooperative project presentations.

  • This study analyzes the impact of followership on the relationship between leadership and organizational performance, and also which type of leadership-followership combination brings out higher performance in the local government of South Korea. Using the survey data conducted to the civil servants in Kyounggi-do, Pyeongtaek-shi and Dongdoochun-shi, this study analyzes the mediating and moderating effects of followership. The results show followers do affect the organizational performance in the local government and the mediating effects exist in all types of followership. These results emphasize the fact that the role of followers should be investigated as a main factor determining organization performance along with leadership. Moreover, this study found out the more similar the set of values between leaders and followers, the higher performance an administrative organization can get. This implies the necessity of more investigation of the interaction between leaders and followers in the study of organizational performance.

  • The view of social responsibility activities from the pioneer studies found that most research is mainly limited to the corporate social responsibility activities. The related studies on the individual level are very few. Therefore, it is very necessary to make a clearer and more systematic empirical research for the global companies whose employees are directly involved in the companies' social responsibility activities. In order to find the relationship between variables, we collected data from chinese employee of Korean firms which located in China. The result of empirical test is as follows; First, the social responsibility activities of the individual level have a significant positive effect on the employees' job satisfaction and organization inputs. In other words, social responsibility activities could improve the employee's job satisfaction and organization inputs. Second, innovative organizational culture of South Korean companies has a significant positive effect on the individual level social responsibility activities. Third, transformational leadership of the CEO in South Korean have no effect on personal level social responsibility activities. Fourth, the CEO'S ethical values have great positive effect on personal level of social responsibility activities. Through the analysis we can see, in the process of global corporate implicating social responsibility activities, the CEO'S ethical values are more important than the transformational leadership of the CEO. Finally, in the relationship between the employees' personal ethical values and personal social responsibility activities, the employees' personal ethical values in South Korean companies have great positive effect on the personal level social responsibility activities.

  • Traditional values refer to one's attitudes or perspectives developed by negotiating with oneself, others, society, world, nature and universe, which include thoughts on what is right, desirable, and what is dos and don'ts. The purpose of this study was to investigate values which Korean people traditionally emphasized, and their changes by epochal situation focused on the Choson Era. Also, this study intended to assist in finding values and meaning which should be passed down and manifested in contemporary society based on the study results. In this context, I select some positive values in the background of the Joseon dynasty. As traditional values or ethics in Korea destroyed and distorted going through the period of Japanese colonialism, all the existing social culture and traditional culture were denied, which resulted in vanishing common value which led community for several hundred years. The loss of common value caused community destruction and collapse, and made Korean people seek to survival, success and advancement in life as suffering from severe conflict of values. Experience of hollow state of mind caused by historical and cultural severance left distorted and degenerated values to Korea people, which made them pursue false values without realizing true meaning of traditional values. The true meaning of traditional values should be universal no matter how society changes, and could be milestone to contemporary people wandering aimlessly. Realizing and reconsidering the meaning of traditional values to found comtemporary values of Korean people by reflecting on history can produce significant results beyond age-old debate about East or West, and tradition or modernity.

  • The purpose of the study is to present implications for the management performance and improvement of enterprises through the study of the simplicity of meals, individual values, inhuman relationships, attitude formation, awareness and solitary eating behaviors. The research method was investigated by the judgment sampling method. The collected effective samples were validated using a confirmed factorial analysis to ensure the validity of the discriminatory validity and the internal validity of the convergent validity. First of all, the company should provide information to the people who eat alone to A recognize the simplicity of their meals. Second, we should ensure that the individual values of the Honbab people can be formed through various promotional strategies that can lead to the formation of attitudes. Third, companies should pursue diverse event strategies that can lead to the formation of attitudes of the people of the Honbab family. Fourth, event development such as the provision of a very special service for customers only will have to be conducted when visiting the stores of the Honbap people. Finally, companies should focus on promoting the convenience, convenience, and time-consuming advantages of eating alone through a variety of marketing, and strive to increase their customers.

A Study on the Determinants of the transition to Marriage of Korean Women (한국 여성의 결혼전이 시기에 미치는 결정요인 연구 - 1940, 50년대 코호트를 중심으로 -)

  • 본 연구는 한국 여성의 결혼전이 시기에 미치는 개인, 가족, 사회구조의 다차원적 요인의 영향력을 추정하려는 것이다. 총 634명의 1940, 50년대 코호트 여성을 대상으로 분석한 결과, 1940년대 코호트의 경우, 다른 집단에 비해 취업률이 낮고 가족주의 가치관이 높을 때 결혼을 늦게 하고 장녀인 경우에는 제 때에 결혼하는 것으로 나타났다. 1950년대 코호트는 다른집단에 비해 성비와 취업률이 높고 교육수준이 낮을 때 결혼을 일찍하고 부의 직업이 하위적이고 결혼전 취업년수가 길 때 늦게 결혼하는 것으로 나타났다.

인터넷 기반 지식관리 시스템의 적용사례 연구

  • 새로운 경영 패러다잉의 전환과 지식경제시대에 도래하고 있는 현재, 기업들은 기업의 생존을 위한 경영방식의 일환으로 지식경영을 도입하고 있다. 지식경영은 지식의 창조, 공유 및 활용을 포함한 개념으로서, 지식의 효율적인 공유 및 활용을 위해 지식경영을 응용한 지식관리시스템이 활발히 도입 중에 있다. 본 논문의 목적은 지식관리시스템의 도입현황(배경, 도입내용, 효과)의 사례률 비교, 분석하여 도입관련 시사점을 제시한다. 지식관리시스템의 배경은 지식공유를 통하여 핵심역량을 강화하고, 경영목표를 달성하기 위해 지식을 통합, 광리할 필요성으로 도입하였고, 도입 내용은 조직의 산재된 지식을 통합, 분류하여 지식데이터베이스를 구촉하였고 지식경영 중심의 기업문화률 이루고, 평가와 보상 체제를 구축하였다. 지식관리시스템의 도입 효과는 지식이 차별화 된 경쟁도구로 인식되면서, 개인의 지식이 조직의 지식으로 전환되면서 지식의 자본화가 이루어졌고, 조직구성원들의 업무효율성 또한 증대되었다. 사례분석결과 성공적인 지식경영을 위해, 지식경영을 위한 가치관 및 기업문화를 정착하고 기업특성에 맞는 방식을 고안해 지식경영을 실천하고, 파일럿 프로젝트를 실행한 후 단계적으로 확산해야한다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 전략적, 문화적, 조직적, 기술적 측면의 구체적인 시사점이 제시되었다.

The Effects of Personal Value Orientation on the Purchasing Behavior of Natural Dyes (개인의 가치관에 따른 천연 염색제품 구매행동에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the different purchasing behaviors of natural dyes according to the personal value orientation of the consumers in question. In addition, this study sets out the purchasing behaviors according to demographic variables. To collect data, this study surveyed 150 housewives living in Daegu in November 2003 using convenient sampling. SPSS 10.0 was used for the statistical analysis of the sampled data including basic statistics, factor analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results derived from this study are as follows : 1) The group that exhibited a more self-controlled value orientation prefers to purchase natural dyes. 2) Consumers with relatively high education backgrounds and in an older age group have preference in purchasing natural dyes.

Influence of Information Literacy and Perception of Patient Data Privacy on Ethical Values among Hospital Clinical Nurses (병원간호사의 정보활용능력과 개인정보보호에 대한 인식이 윤리적 가치관에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to elucidate clinical nurses' ethics germane to information literacy and perception of patient data privacy and thus help nurses to develop more positive and consolidated ethical values. Methods: For this study a descriptive survey design was used. Participants were 142 nurses who worked in a hospital and completed self-report questionnaires. Data were collected from August 1 to 5, 2016 and were analyzed using independent t-test, ANOVA, $Scheff{\acute{e}}$ test, Pearson correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression with SPSS 22.0. Results: Ethical value had a positive correlation with information needs (r=.25, p=.002) in information literacy as well as in direct patient care (r=.27, p=.001), shift work (r=.20, p=.016), patient information management (r=.39, p<.001), and communication (r=.24, p=.004) in perception of patient data privacy. Patient information management, educational background, and age were significant variables predicting the level of ethical values and accounted for 21% of the variance. Conclusion: Ethical values education with particular emphasize on managing patient information should be encouraged for nurses who are younger and have a lower education level. Findings indicate a need for education programs to guide clinical nurses to utilize appropriate information when solving ethical challenges in every day nursing practice.

  • 오늘날 화장품 산업은 역동적으로 끊임없이 변화하고 있다. 화장품은 한 사회 구성원들의 다양한 욕구, 가치관 및 생할양식에 영향을 미치며 심지어는 국가의 정치적 기후나 경제적인 상태를 나타내는 지표역할을 담당하기도 한다. 즉, 화장품 과학은 예방의학, 건강과학이라는 차원에서 뿐만 아니라 미적인 차원에서 새로운 상품개발이 진행되어갈 것이다. 지금 우리는 21세기를 향하여 1990년대의 중반기에 들어섰다. 80년대는 물질 문명의 중심으로 생활의 질의 풍요로움을 추구하였으나 90년대는 소비자 우선의 풍요로움을 향수하는 시대가 되었다. 또한 여성이 사회진출, 고령화의 급속한 진전, 고 학력화, 개인의 가치관 존중 및 많은 생활패턴의 변화가 마음의 풍요로움을 구하는 사람들이 늘어나고 물질적 의존도로 부터의 탈피가 크게 강조되고 있다. 이에 마음의 풍요로움을 창조하여 연출하는 화장품산업의 역할이 고기능성에 의한 부가가치를 높이고 마음의 풍요로움을 지원하기 위한 연구개발에 중점을 두고 진행되어 가고 있다. 화장품을 여성들의 치장이라고 하는 주체적 행위에 도움을 주는 하드웨어라고 한다면 소비자의 마음은 소프트웨어로써 소비자 입장에서 만족할 수 있는 전략을 구사하는 아이디어가 있어야 하는데 그에 상응하는 대책으로 스킨케어를 들 수 있다. 스킨케어란 병든 피부를 제외한 여러 가지 유형의 피부를 화장품과 미용기기를 이용하여 그에 맞게 예방관리 하여 건강하고 아름답게 보호 유지하는 전문 분야이다. 즉, 스킨케어는 화장품 이용을 통하여 미래의 소비자들의 다양한 비용 욕구 및 소망에 효과적으로 대응할 수 있는 소프트웨어라고 할 수 있다., 또한 스킨케어는 화장품 뿐만 아니라 신체적 접촉을 통하여 안위를 제공하는 수단으로 단순한 피부손질이라는 문제에 그치지 않고 접촉을 통해 마음과 신체의 균형을 꾀하는 생명현상의 심층과 연관되는 중요한 의미가 있다. 스킨케어는 불어로 Soin Esthetique 라고 하는데 어원을 보면 손질, 처치, 보살핌 그리고 배려를 의미한다. 지금으로부터 200년전 독일의 미학자인 Baumgarten이 미는 인간에게 만족과 쾌감을 주는 대상이며 미는 보는 사람의 마음에 있다라는 감성의 미학에서 Esthetique라는 단어를 처음 사용했다. 다시 말하면 Soim Esthetique는 인간의 마음 만족과 쾌감을 주는 배려 있는 조치로써 여성이 화장을 함으로써 외모의 조화에서 마음과 신체의 균형을 꾀하는 생명현상의 심층과 연관되는 것과 마찬가지로 에스테틱과 화장의 심리는 매우 땔래야 땔 수 없는 불과분의 밀접한 관계라 볼 수 있다.
