A Design and Implementation of Web-based Instruction for Individual-paced learning using Push and Pull Technologies (Push 및 Pull 기술을 이용한 개별화 학습용 WBI 설계 및 구현)

  • n this paper, we propose a WBI(Web Based Instruction) for individualized learning using push and pull technologies with WWW(World Wide Web). As well as push End pull technologies, the proposing system is implemented with JSP(Java Server Page) and JDBC(Java Database Connectivity) of java technologies based on the client/server envirionments for the purpose of providing practical lectures to students.

  • 웹 상에서 이루어진다 하더라도 수업이라는 것은 일반적인 정보를 제공하는 형태와는 구별이 되어야한다. 학습자로 하여금 능동적으로 학습에 참여하도록 하며, 학습자의 현재 상태를 고려하여 적절한 학습과제를 제공해 주기 위해서는 학습자의 특성 못지않게 지식모듈간의 관련성 또한 중요하게 고려되어야 하는 내용이다. 일반적으로 지식이라고 하는 것은 상호간의 복잡한 관계로 얽혀있는 그래프 구조인데 반해 웹 코스웨어는 대부분 교과서의 형태와 같은 트리 구조인 선형적인 흐름을 따르고 있다. 이러한 형태에서는 개별화된 학습경로 또한 제한적일 수밖에 없다. 본 연구에서는 개별화 학습의 가능성을 제시하며 코스 설계에 있어 융통적인 구성단위가 되는 학습객체를 기반으로 하여, 지식간 관련성을 고려하여 개별화된 학습경로를 제시해 줄 수 있는 코스 설계의 가능성을 찾고자한다.

A Study on the Feasibility of Special Classes Evaluation in General Schools in Three aspects of Curriculum and Class-Evaluation Integration (교육과정-수업-평가 일체화의 세 가지 측면에 근거한 일반학교 특수학급 학업성취도 평가의 타당성 고찰)

  • In order for learners with different characteristics to reach meaningful learning, the curriculum - class-assessment must be integrated. In this study, we classified the integration into three aspects: content compatibility, operator convergence, and institutional connectivity, and looked at the status of unifying special classes in general schools from each perspective. As a result of the study, in terms of content suitability, adjustment of the curriculum to those subject to special education-professorial revision-assessment adjustment was not performed well except for subjects where individualization professors were conducted. From an actor's perspective, the ambiguity of the roles of general and special teachers resulted in the inability of curriculum coordinators, educators, evaluators and others to agree or even minimal consultations. In terms of institutional linkage, the authority and role of curriculum coordination, professorial revision, and assessment coordination were unclear except for subjects where individualization professors were conducted. As an alternative to discuss and remedy these problems, it proposed increasing awareness of individualized education, compulsory consultation and institutional readjustment.

  • The rapid development of information & communication technology has changed the paradigm of education. Recently the area of education is introducing u-Learning, in which learning is possible at any time and in any place through personal information devices such as PDA, tablet PC and mobile phone terminals. Taking advantage of the mobility and individuality of personal information devices, u-Learning can provide learning customized to the characteristics of individual learners without the limitations of time and space and can be effective in situational learning and experiential learning. In order to identify the uses of PDA in teaching.learning and to develop a basic teachinglearning model using PDA, the present study applied PDA directly to classes and examined the effects. According to the result, most students were satisfied with classes utilizing PDA but problems were also found in connection, insufficient contents for PDA, the quality of screen, etc.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze how teaching behavior styles of fisheries & maritime high school teacher on students' satisfaction in major subject classes. A survey was conducted for high school students from fisheries & maritime high school. The results were as followed. First, there is a statistically significant correlation between fisheries & maritime high school teacher's teaching behavior styles and student's classes satisfaction. In other words, teaching behavior styles should be different according to the individual differences of students' learning. Second, fisheries & maritime high school teacher's teaching behavior styles has some significant influence on student's classes satisfaction. Diversity Teaching behaviors had a statistically significant effect on content satisfaction. Interaction teaching behavior, diversity teaching behavior style, and individualized teaching behavior style had a statistically significant effect on method satisfaction. For the evaluation satisfaction, there was a significant statistically significant effect of clarity on teaching behavior styles and diversity teaching behavior type. It is necessary to improve the content satisfaction of the students through the application of the teaching method considering the difference of understanding of the contents of each student.

  • In recent years, amount of studies on application of wetbased educational system are proceeding in educational field. This study proposes design and implementation for web-based learning system using WMT in order to practise assistance learning between teacher and students on the web. For system design and implementation, this study utilizes Windows 2000 Server and Windows Media Technology. Using WMT, we make teaming materials and put them in web-based educational system. It should be possible to make teaming in accordance with Windows Media Player for a long-distance students. As a result, this study expects to accomplish a web-based learning between teacher and student on the web.

Identification of Instructional Components to Increase Students' Interest and Creativity in American Science Classrooms (미국의 중학교 과학수업에서 학생들의 흥미와 창의성을 높이는 수업요소)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify instructional components supporting students' interest and creativity in American middle school science classrooms. Two 7th grade classrooms were selected, and observed for 11 class periods each. Results showed that hands-on and small group activities were the most effective ways to increase students' interest. The teachers' instructional approaches, such as individualized paced teaching, sufficient peer teaching, permissive atmosphere, various media, and purpose-focused summary game were found to influence students' interest. To enhance students' creativity, increasing interest, making hypothesis, and trying to various experimental method with sufficient time were identified as effective components.

  • Children should have opportunities to experience problem solving individually with strategies for developing their problem solving abilities. To make an instructional design for individual teaming, problem solving activities were classified into categories like individual activities, individual activities within a group, and team teaching. A flow of teaching and teaming process was designed before, and concrete and semi-concrete materials were used in an experimental teaching, which was analysed in this research.

  • 현대사회를 정보화 사회라고 한다. 교과서나 교사에 의해 독점되던 지식은 다양한 출판물과 전파매체를 통해서 무차별적으로 전달되고 있다. 20세기가 출판문화의 시대였다면 21세기는 전자, 전파 매체가 주도하는 정보의 시대인 것이다. 이러한 변화에 따라 교육 현장에서도 열린교육의 핵심인 개별화 교육이 강조되고 있으며 컴퓨터의 교육적 활용에 무한한 가능성을 인지하고, 이를 교수-학습에 적용하려는 시도가 끊임없이 전개되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 개별화 교육의 일환으로 교수-학습 현장에 컴퓨터와 웹을 접목한 대화형 교육방송 시스템 설계와 구현에 관하여 연구하고자 한다. U 기술을 이용하여 수업교재를 제작하고, 이를 기반으로 서버를 구축하여 원격지에서 다양한 학습자들이 시간과 장소에 구애받지 않고 학습할 수 있는 대화형 교육방송 시스템에 관하여 연구하였다.

ADPM 기반의 실기 수업을 위한 저작 시스템의 프로토타입 개발

  • The Current 7th Curriculum for Computer Education emphasized the class of practice oriented, student oriented. But it is very hard because of many students, poor environments, insufficiency of the teaching model. So ADPM will gives our help. a ADPM based practical class using ebook synchronized with video files give a little student's wating time for answering, much student's learning efficiency, much student's voluntary learning custom, a individualized learning. And this study developed the prototype to support the ADPM. This prototype will make up for the weak points in authoring systems, which they are a wizard type program, capturing video file, synchronizing video files. And it will improve a practical class.
