Pre-Service Teachers' Understanding of Contexts for Constructing Exponential Graph (지수함수 그래프의 구성 맥락에 대한 예비교사들의 이해)

  • This study examined the understanding of 24 pre-service teachers about the three contexts for constructing the exponential graphs. The three contexts consisted of the infinite points context (2009 revision curriculum textbook method), the infinite straight lines context (French textbook method), and the continuous compounding context (2015 revision curriculum textbook method). As the result of the examination, most of the pre-service teachers selected the infinite points context as easier context for introducing the exponential graph. They noted that it was the appropriate method because they thought their students would easily understand, but they showed the most errors in the graph presentation of this method. These errors are interpreted as a lack of content knowledge. In addition, a number of pre-service teachers noted that the infinite straight lines context and continuous compounding context were not appropriate because these contexts can aggravate students' difficulty in understanding. What they pointed out was interpreted in terms of knowledge of content and students, but at the same time those things revealed a lack of content knowledge for understanding the continuous compounding context. In fact, considering the curriculum they have experienced, they were not familiar with this context, continuous compounding. These results suggest that pre-service teacher education should be improved. Finally, some of the pre-service teachers mentioned that using technology can help the students' difficulties because they considered the design of visual model.

Cycle Property in the (n,k)-star Graph ((n,k)-스타 그래프의 사이클 특성)

  • In this paper, we analyze the cycle property of the (n,k)-star graph that has an attention as an alternative interconnection network topology in recent years. Based on the graph-theoretic properties in (n,k)-star graphs, we show the pancyclic property of the graph and also present the corresponding algorithm. Based on the recursive structure of the graph, we present such top-down approach that the resulting cycle can be constructed by applying series of "dimension expansion" operations to a kind of cycles consisting of sub-graphs. This processing naturally leads to such property that the resulting cycles tend to be integrated compactly within some minimal subset of sub-graphs, and also means its applicability of another classes of the disjoint-style cycle problems. This result means not only the graph-theoretic contribution of analyzing the pancyclic property in the underlying graph model but also the parallel processing applications such a as message routing or resource allocation and scheduling in the multi-computer system with the corresponding interconnection network.

  • The 2015 revised mathematics curriculum encourages students to use graphs in newspapers and the Internet as materials when teaching graphs, and to experience a series of statistical problem-solving processes that collect, classify, organize, graph and interpret data. The graphs that the students learn through traditional textbooks were a single type of graphs. In particular, the graphs of the 5th and 6th grade groups were only increased in numbers, but the basic concepts were repeated in the 3rd and 4th grades. Fortunately, from the 2009 revision curriculum, it is possible to select the graph suitable for the situation while comparing the characteristics of some graphs. In most cases, the graphs used in the real world are presented in the form of a compounded infographics. The purpose of this study is to analyze and analyze the manifestations of information processing competence elements emphasized in the 2015 revised curriculum through the statistical project class using the informal graphic in the fifth grade of elementary school. And we suggested a concrete class plan.

A Study on Automatic Extraction of Core Sentences from Document using Word Cooccurrence Graph (단어의 공기 관계 그래프를 이용한 문서의 핵심 문장 추출에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper,we propose an method of core sciences extractionusing word cooccrrence graph in order to summarize a document. For automatic extraction of core sentenees, we construct a mean cluster from word cooccurrence graph, and find insistence which corresponds a porposed of author. And then we extract keywords by using relationship between mean cluster and isistence. Finally, core senrences are sclected based on keywords and insitances. The esults are evaluated by comparing with manual extraction, and show that the extraction performance is improved about 10%.

  • 최근에 데이터관리, 통계분석, 그래프분석, What-If 분석 등을 위하여 스프레드시트가 광범위하게 사용되고 있다. 본 논문은 전자 부품을 생산하는 라인에 TGC(Theory of Constaints)를 적용하는 과정에서 활용된 엑셀 스프레드시트 프로그램의 사례에 대하여 소개한다. TOC 개념에서의 제품 조합 문제, 제약자원 선택 분석, DBR 스케쥴링 등인 자체의 함수기능, 그래프기능 해찾기 기능과 VBA(Visual Basic Application) 긴능을 이용하여 엑셀에서 구현된 내용이 포함된다.

  • 대 규모의 CORBA 시스템을 구축할 때 서로 다른 프로토콜을 갖는 여러 개의 ORB 도메인이 존재한다. 이러한 서로 다른 ORB 도메인들 간의 통신은 ORB 브리지를 통하여 수행된다. 따라서 전체 시스템에서 각 ORB 도메인 간의 브리지의 수는 가능하면 적어야 하고 각 브리지에 가중되는 부하 역시 적어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 그래프 개념으로 모델링하고 기본적인 그래프 연산들을 이용하여, 브리지의 수를 줄이고 각 브리지에 가중되는 부하를 균등하게 분할하여 전체 시스템을 구성하는 효율적인 알고리즘을 제안한다.

  • 월드와이드웹(WWW) 기술은 폭발적으로 증가하고 있는 웹 데이터들의 의미적인 정보를 효과적으로 처리하기에는 많은 문제점이 있다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 1999년 말에 제안된 시맨틱 웹은 온톨로지를 기반으로 하고 있다. 그러나 온톨로지 생성에 관한 많은 연구들은 많은 시간과 비용이 소비된다. 이와 같은 문제를 해결하기 위하여 우리는 데이터베이스에서 온톨로지를 생성할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 데이터베이스는 도메인을 잘 나타내고 있는 정보의 저장소이므로 데이터베이스로부터의 온톨로지 생성은 분석, 설계 등의 사전 작업이 필요하지 않다. 우리는 데이터베이스에서 스키마를 추출, 뼈대그래프를 생성하고 개념그래프로 확장하여 도메인을 잘 나타낼 수 있는 온톨로지를 생성한다. 끝으로 알고리즘을 통한 생성을 함으로서 제안된 생성방법을 검증한다.

  • Computer Science Unplugged is a collection of free learning activities that teach Computer Science through engaging games and puzzles that use cards, string, crayons and lots of running around. In spite of the success of unplugged activities, the unplugged resources for experiencing the concepts of data structures is lacked. In this study, we design, implement and survey the 3 hour lessons of the core concepts of graph theory and the shortest path algorithm for the primary students using computer science unplugged activities. Our survey results showed that our lesson plan is adequate for primary school students and will have a positive effects for primary school students.

Efficient Processing of Transitive Closure Queries in Ontology using Graph Labeling (온톨로지에서의 그래프 레이블링을 이용한 효율적인 트랜지티브 클로저 질의 처리)

  • Ontology is a methodology on describing specific concepts and their relationships, and it is being considered important more and more as semantic web and variety of knowledge management systems are being highlighted. Ontology uses the relationships among concerts to represent some concrete semantics of specific concept. When we want to get some useful information from ontology, we severely have to process the transitive relationships because most of relationships among concepts represent transitivity. Technically, it causes recursive calls to process such transitive closure queries with heavy costs. This paper describes the efficient technique for processing transitive closure queries in ontology. To the purpose of it, we examine some approaches of current systems for transitive closure queries, and propose a technique by graph labeling scheme. Basically, we assume large size of ontology, and then we show that our approach gives relative efficiency in processing of transitive closure, queries.

A Review of the Role of Domain in Representational Activities for Forming the Concept of Linear Functions (일차함수의 개념형성을 위한 표상활동에서 정의역의 역할에 대한 고찰)

  • The purpose of this study is to encourage the role of domain to consider the teaching of the concept of functions in modeling real situations. To do this, it is analyzed that how to introduce the concept of functions and linear functions in textbooks treated in the 1st grade and the 2nd grade of middle school. This study also reviewed the role of domain in representational activities for modeling real situations using linear functions. In these reviews, it found that many textbooks do not consider the domain in the equations of functions and these graphs and several text books used linear functions for modeling real situations which are not represented by linear functions contextually. It is concluded that the domain of function is an important concept that will be considered any representational activities for functions.
