  • Intussusception and acute appendicitis are common emergency conditions in children. They should be promptly differentiated in pediatric patients presenting with suggestive symptoms. However, both diseases may occur simultaneously. Herein, we present two cases of intussusception of the appendix accompanied with appendicitis.

  • Extrauterine adenomyoma of the liver is extremely rare. Only a few cases have been reported, and these reports have focused mainly on histopathology. Herein, we report the specific imaging findings of extrauterine adenomyoma of the liver in a 43-year-old woman with epigastric pain, which was initially diagnosed as a hepatic adenoma. CT and MRI revealed a solid and cystic mass with hemorrhagic foci and weak persistent enhancement, located in the subcapsular region of the right hepatic lobe.

Transformation of GPS Coordinates in a Small Area (소지역에서 GPS좌표변환에 관한 연구)

  • In general, the transformation of coordinates in GPS is carried out by 3 dimensional transformation method with 3-10 parameter. In korea, the coordinates of transformation points ware determined are adjusted in-dependently by planimetry and the height, and also the weight of observations were not properly applied to the adjustment. In this study, two different transformation methods are tested and analysed by the field test, and it is finally found that 2 dimensional method is more efficient way than 3 dimensional classical transformation method.

  • The Theo Jansen mechanism using 1 degree of freedom is special system of walking robot. The trajectory made by the point of ground position is similar to other walking robot using many degrees of freedom. Because of diversity of design parameter of the Jansen mechanism, it makes a lot of trajectory and takes possibilities of optimization. However this research doesn't focus on the optimization of trajectory, but it focused on comprehensive design of the robot using well-known trajectory and line tracer logic to go fast and accurate along the line. The logic to follow a line has many kinds of possibility of algorithm. To eliminate uncertainty about recognizing a line, I divide the case of line following situation and make optimized logic.

A method for Measuring Positional Accuracy of Road Objects in Digital Topographic Maps (수치지도 도로사상의 위치정확도 측정방법)

  • Various digital topographic maps including 1:1,000 and 1:5,000 have been produced for years and these digital maps are expected to serve a wide range of purposes. Most previous research about measuring positional accuracy for digital topographic maps depends int a method that acquires sample points from the tested map and compares to the corresponding known true locations using some statistics. Recently, a simple method for measuring positional accuracy for linear features is introduced but it has substantial problems applying to the spatial features such as roads, railroads, streams represented with double lines on the recently produced 1:1,000 and 1:5,000 digital topographic maps. This study develops and implements an effective method that measures road objects represented in the 1:5,000 digital topographic maps using a conventional GIS software. We also apply this method to a small study area located in Kangnam Gu, Seoul and illustrate the usefulness of this method.

Simulating Carbon Storage Dynamics of Trees on the Artificial Ground (시뮬레이션을 통한 인공지반 교목의 탄소저장량 변화)

  • To successfully create a low-carbon landscape in order to become a low-carbon city, it is necessary to understand the dynamics of artificial greening's resources on a multi-scale. Additionally, the effects of carbon storage should be quantitatively evaluated. The purpose of this study is to simulate and evaluate the changes in carbon storages of artificial ground trees using system dynamics throughout a long-term period. The process consisted of analyzing the dynamics of the multi-scale carbon cycle by using a casual loop diagram as well as simulating carbon storage changes in the green roof of the Gangnam-gu office building in 2008, 2018, 2028, and 2038. Results of the study are as follows. First, the causal loop diagram representing the relationship between the carbon storage of the artificial ground trees and the urban carbon cycle demonstrates that the carbon storage of the trees possess mutual cross-scale dynamics. Second, the main variables for the simulation model collected 'Biomass,' 'Carbon storage,' 'Dead organic matter,' and 'Carbon absorption,'and validated a high coefficient of determination, the value being ($R^2$=0.725, p<0.05). Third, as a result of the simulation model, we found that the variation in ranking of tree species was changing over time. This study also suggested the specific species of tree-such as Acer palmatum var. amoenum, Pinus densiflora, and Betula platyphylla-are used to improve the carbon storage in the green roof of the Gangnam-gu office building. This study can help contribute to developing quantitative and scientific criteria when designing, managing, and developing programs on low-carbon landscapes.

  • Traffic information protocol in DMB is very different from existing analog broadcasting and wireless communication network. In this paper, we examined whether traffic information protocol of Europe Broadcasting Union(TPEG) is applicable to domestic DMB. Also, we proposed a division of classification on kinds of franc information, and related data that it is required to transmit traffic information of TPEG form. We composed of experiment equipment and studied whether is expressed traffic informations as like accident, event, traffic condition and CCTV image on car navigation system. The results obtained it can be given expression to phrases from TPEG streaming data and to link with electronics map by decoding TPEG straming data. Also it can be expressed CCTV and graphic image which is composed of TPEG form.
