MERS outbreak in Korea was related to healthcare-associated infections. The number of healthcare workers infected with MERS were 39, of which 15 were nurses. We investigated knowledge, attitudes and preventive behaviors against MERS in nursing students who will serve as future nurses. This is a cross-sectional study using a questionnaire survey. Data were collected from 350 nursing students from April to May 2016. As a result, there was a statistically significant positive correlation between attitudes and prevention behaviors against MERS. (r=.387, p <.001). The effect of knowledge and attitudes on preventive behaviors against MERS was analyzed by 15.2% of the explanatory power of regression model and statistically significant by regression equation (F = 31.081, p <.001). This study suggests that nursing students need convergence educational programs to improve their attitudes and preventive behaviors against infectious diseases such as MERS.

The purpose of this study was to provide basic materials on establishing convergence oriented respiratory infection management system in nursing students attending clinical training by analyzing anxiety, knowledge, possibility of infection, possibility of prevention, and compliance level of preventive behavior. Data were collected from 222 nursing students experienced clinical practice from June 15th to 30th in 2015 using questionnaire. Characteristics relative to variables were measured, and analyzed using SPSS 18.0 program. The results are as follows. The anxiety was 42.70(max 80 points), but possibility of infection was 22.55(max 100 points). Also, knowledge(11.73 out of 16 points), possibility of prevention(7.37 out of 10 points), and compliance level of preventive behavior(34.55 out of maximum 48 points) were slightly above average. The influencing factors on compliance of preventive behavior were anxiety and possibility of prevention. It is needed to lead convergence oriented approach on enhancing compliance of preventive behavior through providing information and educating possibility of prevention during MERS outbreak.

예방접종. 요즘 예방접종에 대한 권유를 많이 받았을 것이다. 또한 때가 때이니 만큼 일찌감치 예방접종을 시행한 사람들도 있을지 모르겠다. 신종플루 덕분에(?) 예방접종에 대한 인식이 높아지면서 어린이에게만 해당된다고 생각했던 예방접종의 중요성이 이제는 성인들 사이에서도 통하고 있다. 이 시점에서 고대 구로병원 감염내과 정희진 교수의 자문을 받아 감염의 고위험군인 당뇨병환자에게 꼭 필요한 예방접종을 강조하고자 한다.

국내 신규 감염인의 수치가 계속 증가하고 있다. 질병관리본부에 따르면 올 상반기 신규로 에이즈에 감염된 사람은 총 302명으로 하루 평균 1.7명이 에이즈에 감염된 것으로 나타났다. 이로써 2004년 6월말 현재 국내 누적감염인수는 총 2,842명으로, 이중 565명은 이미 사망하여 2,277명이 생존해 있는 것으로 보고되었다. 올 상반기 신규감염인은 작년 상반기 251명에 비해 $20.3\%$나 증가한 수치로 이런 증가세가 연말까지 계속된다면 올해신규 감염인이 600명을 넘어설 것으로 예상되고 있어, 정부나 관련 단체의 적극적인 에이즈 예방홍보교육이 절실히 요구되고 있다.

질병관리본부는 2007년 한해동안 HIV감염인이 2006년(750명)과 비슷한 수준인 744명이 발견되어 누적감염인수는 5,323명이며, 이중 980명이 사망하고 4,343명이 생존해 있다고 밝혔다. 신규 감염인의 성별은 남성이 여성에 비해 16배 높게 나타났고, 연령은 $20{\sim}40$대가 72.3%를 차지하였으며, 감염경로가 확인된 경우는 모두 성접촉에 의한 감염으로 나타났다. 질병관리본부는 HIV감염인 증가율이 감소한 것은 이번이 처음 있는 일이라면서 이는 국민 각자가 에이즈에 대한 경각심을 가지고 예방한 결과로 보인다고 설명했다.

This study was conducted to identify anxiety, knowledge, possibility of infection, possibility of prevention and performance level for infection prevention among the general public according to the spread of COVID-19. Data were collected from 208 adults in their 20s and 50s from April 6th to 10th in 2020 using questionnaire. Characteristics relative to variables were measured, and analyzed using SPSS 23.0 program for technical statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and correlation. The anxiety level differed according to gender, age, marital status, and live-in partner. The Knowledge score was significantly different according to age and marital status. Possibility of infection was significantly different according to age and residential area. Performance level for infection prevention was significantly different according to gender, age, marital status, and live-in partner. However, preventive possibility was not significantly different regardless of characteristics. These findings may have implications for establishing policies that work well in preventing infectious disease. It is necessary to conduct further research comparing responses of subjects by the stages of infectious disease outbreaks. Further extended studies that include more regions and larger sample sizes are required.

This survey was conducted between January 15, 2014 and February 25, 2014 to investigate the practice for infection prevention among dental hygienists. Data were obtained from 294 dental clinic worker who worked in dental hospital (clinics) of Gwangju and Chonnam. At the conclusion of this investigation, according to the conclusion of this investigation, the necessity of infection control education for dental hygienists and washing their gowns after caring infected patients affected the practice for infection prevention. They also well practiced the infection prevention working in dental hospital. To prevent infection in dental clinic, it is necessary to provide the continuing education programs for dental infection control to dental clinic worker.
