We propose the sentiment pattern as a novel sentiment feature for more accurate text sentiment analysis, and introduce the rating inference of movie reviews using it. The text sentiment analysis is a task that recognizes and classifies sentiment of text whether it is positive or negative. For that purpose, the sentiment feature is used, which includes sentiment words and phrase pattern that have specific sentiment like positive or negative. The previous researches for the sentiment analysis, however, have a limit to understand accurately total sentiment of either a sentence or text because they consider the sentiment of sentiment words and phrase patterns independently. Therefore, we propose the sentiment pattern that is defined by arranging semantically all sentiment in a sentence, and use them as a new sentiment feature for the rating inference that is one of the detail subjects of the sentiment analysis. In order to verify the effect of proposed sentiment pattern, we conducted experiments of rating inference. Ratings of test reviews is inferred by using a probabilistic method with sentiment features including sentiment patterns extracted from training reviews. As a result, it is shown that the result of rating inference with sentiment patterns are more accurate than that without sentiment patterns.

본 연구에서는 박수진, 김한경, 한재현, 이정원, 김종일, 송경석, 정찬섭(2001)에서의 발견을 토대로 얼굴의 범주-차원적 감성 구조를 정립하였다. 박수진 등의 연구는 얼굴의 감성 구조를 이루는 2개의 차원축으로 '앳되다-성숙하다', '날카롭다-부드럽다'를 제안하였었다. 본 연구에서는 이들 축으로 이뤄진 얼굴의 2차원 감성 공간 내에 균일하게 17개의 위치를 선정하고 각 위치들에 합성된 해당 얼굴들을 위치시킴으로써 해당 공간의 얼굴 특징을 시각화하였다. 또한 얼굴의 물리적 특징의 변화가 감성에 어 떤 영향을 주는지를 두 개의 주요 축을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 마지막으로 범주 모형으로서 개별 감성 어휘들과 얼굴의 물리적 특징이 어떤 관계가 있는지를 일차적으로 살펴보았다.

한국인 20대 여성 얼굴을 대표하는 30개 얼굴의 감성 형용사 평정을 통해 아름다운 얼굴의 감성 특징을 파악하였다. 얼굴 감성을 나타내는 14개 형용사 평정에 대해 주성분 분석을 실시한 결과 얼굴 감성은 샤프 요인과 소프트 요인으로 나뉘며, 사람들이 소프트한 느낌보다 샤프한 느낌을 지닌 얼굴을 더 아름답다고 느끼는 것으로 나타났다. 아름다운 얼굴의 감성 특징 검증을 위해 얼굴 합성법을 이용하여 합성한 이미지에 대해 얼굴 미모와 감성 형용사 평정을 실시하였다. '상위 평균' 이미지는 '전체 평균' 이미지보다, 전체 평균과 상위 평균의 얼굴 특징 차이를 50% 과장한 '상위+50' 이미지는 '상위 평균' 이미지보다 유의미하게 더 아름다운 것으로 평정되었다. 합성 얼굴의 감성 평정 결과 '전체 평균' 이미지는 소프트 감성에서 높은 평정을 받았으며, '상위 평균' 이미지는 샤프 감성, '상위150'이미지는 두 감성 요인을 모두 지니는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 샤프 혹은 소프트 중 하나의 감성 요인이 두드러진 얼굴보다 두 가지 감성 요인 모두에서 높은 평정을 받은 얼굴을 더욱 아름답다고 지각하는 것을 암시한다.

In this paper, we investigated the affective components of facial beauty. In study 1, we did factor analysis of affective evaluations of the faces, and about 65% of the variances are explained by only two factors. Two factors were named 'sharp' and 'soft', respectively. In study 2, the correlation between facial beauty and affective evaluations was analyzed, and the correlation between facial beauty and sharp factor was significant. In study 3, we made the new images by morphing and warping the faces: 'average', 'high-ranked', and 'exaggerated'. The participants evaluated the 'high-ranked' face more beautiful than the 'average' face, and the 'exaggerated' face more beautiful than the 'high-ranked' face. The rating of affective words on the faces showed that the 'average' face was related to 'soft' impression, the 'high-ranked' image to 'sharp' impression, and the 'exaggerated' face might have double impression. These results might support the directional hypothesis for the facial beauty.

In this paper, emotion classification was performed by using four ocular features extracted from near-infrared camera image. According to comparing with previous work, the proposed method used more ocular features and each feature was validated as significant one in terms of emotion classification. To minimize side effects on ocular features caused by using visual stimuli, auditory stimuli for causing two opposite emotion pairs such as "positive-negative" and "arousal-relaxation" were used. As four features for emotion classification, pupil size, pupil accommodation rate, blink frequency, and eye cloased duration were adopted which could be automatically extracted by using lab-made image processing software. At result, pupil accommodation rate and blink frequency were statistically significant features for classification arousal-relaxation. Also, eye closed duration was the most significant feature for classification positive-negative.

얼굴은 내측두(IT: inferotemporal) 영역에 독자적인 처리 공간을 가지고 있는 (Bruce, Desimone, & Gross, 1981; Rolls, 1992) 매우 복잡한 시각 자극이다. 본연구는 이러한 복잡한 얼굴 자극을 구성하고 있는 물리적인 특징들을 추출하여 얼굴을 수치 구조면에서 분석하고 이를 감성 공간과 연결시킬 목적으로 수행되었ㄷ. 이를 위해 본연구에서는 먼저 얼굴 내부에 36개의 특징들 및 특징들 간 관계를 설정하였다. 또한 얼굴 외곽형의 분류를 위해 얼굴 윤곽선 부위에 14개의 특징점을 찍고 코끝에서부터 이들 지점과의 거리를 측정하였다. 사람마다 기본적인 얼굴 14개의 특징점을 찍고 코끝에서부터 이들 지점과의 거리를 측정하였다. 사람마다 기본적인 얼굴 크기가 다르다는 점을 감안하여 이들 특징값들 중 길이값들은 얼굴 좌우폭 또는 얼굴 상하길이를 기주으로 정규화(normalization)되었다. 그런 다음 36개의 얼굴 내부 특징 요소들과 5가지 얼굴 외곽형을 입력값으로 하여 주성분분석(PCA: proncipal component analysis)을 실시하고, 여기서 도출된 다섯 개의 요인점수를 기반으로 5차원 공간을 가정하였다. 이 공간을 대표하는 얼굴을 고루 선정하되 해당 얼굴이 있다고 보기 어려운 영역을 제외하고 평균에 해당하는 얼굴을 추가하여 총 30가지 대표 얼굴 유형을 선정하였다. 선정된 얼굴들에 대해 일차적으로 감성 평가를 실시하여 2차원 감성 공간에 대표 얼굴들을 분포시켰다.

본 연구는 한국인들이 선호하는 열차용 시트 디자인에 대한 감성특성을 파악하고 이를 실제 디자인으로 구체화하고자 실시되었다. 시트 디자인의 감성평가를 위해 형용사들을 추출하였고, 이를 이용하여 한국인들이 기대하는 열차용 시트 디자인의 감성특성을 조사하였다. 여기서 추출된 감성특성을 실제 디자인으로 보다 쉽고 구체화시키기 위하여, 특징적인 시트 디자인들을 시각적인 그림으로 제시하고, 각각에 대한 감성특성 및 선호도 평가를 실시하였다. 이러한 결과들을 종합하여 선호되는 시트 디자인의 감성특성과 이러한 감성특성과 관련을 가지는 실제 디자인 특징에 대하여 분석하였다. 이를 토대로 새로운 시트들을 디자인하여 2차 디자인 평가를 실시하였고, 가장 선호되었던 디자인을 최종 디자인 대안으로 결정하였다.

This study proposes an information retrieval method reflecting the user's preferences based on the fuzzy set theory to develop information contents which support pedestrian's navigation. Firstly, the research evaluated subjects' preferences on commercial spaces set to a hypothetical destination. Also it surveyed the causal relationship between the visual characteristics and the emotional characteristics to propose methods of Navigation Knowledge Base (NKB). The NKB was composed of three elements; 1. the correlation model between emotional characteristics, 2. the causal relationship between visual characteristics and emotional characteristics, 3. the transformation model between visual characteristics and the physical characteristics. Secondly, this study classified the pedestrian's destination search into 4 types with his or her preferences and the time conditions limited during navigation. For each type it presented the Destination Search Algorithm (DSA). Finally, the research simulated the destination search in 4 navigation types using NKB and DSA and verified the availability of the information retrieval method reflecting pedestrian's preferences. In conclusion, the proposed information search method will be applied to reflect the user's preferences to develop information appliances.

표정인식 시스템을 구현하기 위해서는 어떠한 얼굴 특징점이 특정한 내적상태와 밀접한 관련이 있는가를 알아야한다. 이를 위해 MPEG-4 FDP 중 39개의 얼굴 특징점을 사용하여 쾌-불쾌 및 각성-수면의 내적상태와 얼굴 특징요소간의 상관관계를 분석하였다. 연극배우들의 다양한 표정연기 사진 150장으로부터, 5개의 필터 크기와 8개의 필터 방위로 구성된 Gator wavelet을 사용하여 39개의 특징점을 중심으로 영상처리 하였다. 이들 특징점의 필터 반응 값과 내적상태의 상관관계를 분석한 결과, 내적상태의 쾌-불쾌 차원은 주로 입과 눈썹 주변의 특징점과 밀접한 관련이 있었고, 각성-수면 차원은 주로 눈 주변의 특징점과 밀접한 관련이 있었다. 필터의 크기는 주로 저역 공간빈도 필터가 내적상태와 관련이 있었고, 필터의 방위는 주로 비스듬한 사선 방위가 내적상태와 관련이 있었다.

본 논문에서는 영상으로부터 한국적 감성 데이터를 추출하고 감성 컨텐츠 프레임워크(ISC) 구축을 통해 영상데이터를 다양한 멀티미디어 데이터와 함께 사용자에게 전달하는 시스템을 제안한다. 이를 위해 먼저 영상으로부터 객체를 분리해내고 각각의 특징벡터 모델을 구축한다. 특징벡터모델은 요소인자로써 벡터공간의 데이터로 입력되고, 정규화 된 한국어 형용사 데이터와의 근접도를 비교하여 대표 감성을 표현하게 된다. 또한 감성 컨텐츠 데이터의 3층 구조를 이용하여 멀티미디어 데이터를 분류하고 대표 감성형용사와의 인자사상을 통하여 다양한 영상-감성 컨텐츠를 제공하는 프레임워크를 설계한다. 이것은 다양한 영상의 추상데이터에 대응한 감성표현을 추출하여 영상에 내포되어 있는 정확한 의미를 관찰자에게 전달할 수 있다.
