The Influence of Instructor's Non-verbal Communication on College Student's Emotional Presence, Rapport and Learning Satisfaction (교수자의 비언어적 커뮤니케이션이 대학생의 감성적 실재감, 라포 및 학습만족도에 미치는 영향)

  • Teaching and learning is based on communication between instructors and learners. In addition to instructor's verbal communication in the classrooms, non-verbal communication plays an important role. There is growing concerned about instructor's non-verbal communication affecting the learning process and learning outcomes. Based on the literature research student's emotional presence and rapport were used variables of learning process, and learning satisfaction was used as a variable of learning outcome to see the relationship of instructor's non-verbal communication. Data was collected from 378 students at A university in Gyeonggi-do and K university in Daejeon. The data was analyzed through structural equations modeling. As a result of the study, instructor's non-verbal communication had a positive impact on emotional presence and rapport. Emotional presence had a significant influence on rapport and learning satisfaction positively, and rapport had a positive effect on learning satisfaction. Instructors should be able to recognize the role of non-verbal communication in the classes as well as be able to use it appropriately. This study could be used as basic data onto the use of non-verbal communication in university classrooms.

  • 이른바 제4차 산업혁명시대에 즈음하여 산업 기술간 융합과 함께 IOT, AI등 첨단 하이테크 제품, 서비스의 수요가 더욱 증가되는 추세이다. 현재의 스마트세대는 1인 가구가 증가 추세이며 나 홀로족인 혼술, 혼밥 등 솔로 마케팅 연구가 많이 진행 되어 지고 있다. 본 연구는 이에 발맞추어 스마트세대를 대상으로 이성적, 감성적 커뮤니케이션과 구매자의 개인적 특성을 중심으로 AI기반 음성인식 서비스의 구매의도 영향을 알아보고자 한다.

  • 미디어 학자 맥루한(M. McLuhan)은 미디어 테크놀로지의 커뮤니케이션적 의미를 통찰하고 그 미래를 전망한 사상가로 유명하다. <구텐베르크 갤럭시 (Gutenberg Galaxy)>에서 그는 인쇄술에 의해 인간적인 커뮤니케이션을 박탈당하게 되었다고 진단하면서 종이 책의 종언을 예언했다. 인간 커뮤니케이션을 왜곡시킨 미디어가 바로 인쇄기라고 주장하고, 그 인쇄기로부터 인간커뮤니케이션을 해방시킨 미디어로서 텔레비전을 칭송하고 있다. 이로써 그는 미디어가 추동하는 패러다임의 변동을 주장하는데, 전자미디어의 등장이 선형적이며 분리적 형태의 인간커뮤니케이션을 재원형화 함으로써 감성적 커뮤니케이션 패러다임으로의 전환을 야기하고 있다고 설명한다.

Public Service-Oriented Mobile Applications in Facilitating Changes in Human Behavior: The Effects of Design Factors (공공 서비스 기반 모바일 어플리케이션에서 인간 행동의 변화를 촉진하는 디자인 요인의 효과 연구)

  • Due to the dramatic increase in usage of smart phones, mobile applications offer a promising public communication channel to effect behavioral change in areas such as energy saving. For this, identifying relationships between applications and behavioral change would be useful for public institutions to formulate more effective public communication strategies. Based on a design science approach, this study examines the effect of design factors of public service-oriented mobile applications such as personalization, accessibility, and representation richness on users' cognitive and affective attitudes. Their effects on behavioral outcome are also investigated. The results of the analysis show that most design factors contribute significantly to the cognitive and affective attitudes of users. In turn, cognitive attitudes affect users' behavioral change in terms of energy saving, while affective attitudes are positively associated with the average usage time of mobile applications and behavioral changes in terms of energy saving.

  • 심미적차원의 접근을 통한 영상디자인의 틀을 인간이 가진 오감의 특성을 최대 활용하여 전시상황에 따른 감성문법을 활용하여 감각적이며 사용자중심의 니즈에 맞는 선택적이며 시대흐름에 맞는 패턴분석을 적용하여 감성적인 욕구를 심리적인 방법으로 파악하며 영상으로 접근하는 것이다. 이러한 감성패턴분석들은 VJ(비디오쟈키)의 영상활용과 증강현실, 전시디자인의 광고 또한 건축물에 있어서 효과적인 영상활용법을 적용한 감성디자인의 확장을 보여주고 있다. 오감을 활용한 인터랙티브한 미디어아트에서의 영상활용과 콘서트홀에서의 관객과 소통을 인한 커뮤니케이션장치들이 확장되며 도구들 속에서 진정한 인간의 통합된 감각을 전달하기 위한 감성이 필요하다. 이번 연구를 통하여 감성디자인을 적용한 영상사례들을 살펴보며 소통을 위한 감성디자인의 영상을 활용하여 최적화된 전시디자인에 활용되는 감성적 접근방법과 활용에 대해 이해하고자 한다.

  • This study intended to verify the impact of non-verbal communication of servers in the service industry on the affective path among customer's positive emotion, self-identification, and loyalty(behavioral and attitudinal loyalty). The data of 397 customers of typical fast food restaurants in Busan and Gyeongsangbuk-do area were analyzed with SPSS and AMOS, and the hypotheses were verified through structural equation model after frequency analysis, as well as exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. According to the empirical analysis, all three components of server non-verbal communication in the service industry, body language, pseudo language, and body appearance, in respective order, had positive (+) influences on the positive emotion of customers. In addition, customer emotion had a positive (+) influence on brand self-identification. Finally, self-identification had a positive (+) influence on behavior loyalty and attitudinal loyalty. This study suggested practical implications and logical implications in the course of developing emotional loyalty for restaurant companies.

  • As the speed of social change consumers' buying patterns change, with an effective and competitive means of communication is an effort to find ads world. Characters have to maximize its own image, the character font used for the situation fits perfectly expressed in the formative Calligraphy differentiated pay plan as part of Calligraphy is considered. People feel in the hand by writing letters that can not be standardized as a strong symbol and symbolism, and the appeal and beauty, dynamic motion, mystery, and can be expressed. Design disciplines across all areas of Calligraphy extensive coverage, digital coolness of the hard preparation for the soft and warm lyricism analogue availability is required to meet contemporary needs. Media ads that emphasize the use of the Calligraphy emotional representation of the contents of the ads favorable to improve cognitive function, attention, recall of positive affect and, therefore, character-driven emotional expression as an art communications capabilities with one of the media is situated in the heart of the culture.

  • We can expect an effective color marketing to build up a positive industrial image as it is easy for consumer to approach due to the ability of colors to affect human consciousness and sub-consciousness more than any other factor. The purpose of this research is to draw attention to the importance of color communication and to find strategies to elevate the brand image by surveying the degree of influence color communication has when forming a brand image. In order to conduct effective research, we executed theoretical and collaborative analysis through research materials and documents. If you take a look at the outcome of this research, brands that brings credibility and likability to its customers are not brands that uses color communication, but brands that utilize marketing strategies that build up credibility for quite some time. Also, preference over colors are distinctive. It turned out to be that the color of a brand logo that one likes has very little to do with one's favorite color. When people choose a brand, they are choosing the brand not because of the color of the brand logo, but its credibility and likability that the brand offers. It proves that the color of the brand logo has nothing to do with the colors that people prefer. The relationship between the color that consumers prefer and the image and emotional color that forms brand image is negligible. However, since research shows that there was a relationship between the color you prefer and the emotional color that forms brand images, it seems to be important to figure out what color customers prefer rather than the color that shows customers' self image. Unlike existing color communication research, through this research, we would like to know how to utilize the color communication strategically in the forming of brand images and take a look at the relationship between customers' preferences and the image of each brand logo's emotional color.

State Visualization Design of AI Speakers using Color Field Painting (색면추상 기법을 통한 AI 스피커의 상태 시각화 디자인 연구)

  • Recently released AI speakers show a pattern of interacting with the user by mainly with voice and simultaneously displaying simple and formal visual feedback through status LED light. This is due to the limitations of the product characteristics of the speaker, which makes it difficult to interact variously, and even such visual feedback is not standardized for each product, and thus does not give a consistent user experience. By maximizing the visual elements that can be expressed through color and abstract movement to assist voice feedback, the product can provide the user with an extended experience that includes not only functional satisfaction but also emotional satisfaction. In this study, after analyzing the interaction methods of the existing AI speakers, we examined the theory of color communication in order to expand the visual feedback effect, and examined the meaning and expression technique of Color Field Painting, an art genre that maximizes the emotional experience by using only color. Through this, the AI speaker's visual communication function was expanded by designing a way to feedback communication status using LED light.
