Design and Implementation of a Real-time Education Assistive Technology System Based on Haptic Display to Improve Education Environment of Total Blindness People (전맹 시각장애인의 교육환경을 개선시키기 위한 햅틱 디스플레이 기반의 실시간 교육보조공학 시스템의 설계 및 구현)

  • In this paper, we proposed a real-time education assistive technology system based on haptic display to improve education environment of total blindness people. The proposed system consist of a lecture and writing S/W for educator and a previously developed haptic display H/W for total blindness people. The one has the major function which is quickly and easily writing to the education data, that will be provided to total blindness people, through familiar UI, the other has the major function which print out the tactile information about the education data. The result of implementing system not only provides a similar result using existing braille instrument and printer, but shows that it is effective performance and functionality because it can print out the education data in real time.

  • 실시간 시스템의 중요성이 높아짐에 따라 실시간 시스템의 성능 향상을 위한 다양만 방법들이 연구기어 왔다. 된 논문에서는 실시간 시스템에서 가상 페이지 시스템을 통해 메모리를 관리할 때 기존의 LRU 방식에 의한 메모리 교체 방법 대신 실시간 프로세스 스케줄링과 유사한 실시간 메모리 교체 기법을 제안하였다. 실시간 메모리 교제 기법은 가장 오래 전에 사용된 페이지를 먼저 교체하는 LRU 방식의 메모리 교체 기법 대신 실시간 프로세스의 마감 시간 또는 주기를 기반으로 페이지를 교체함으로써 시간제약성을 준수할 가능성을 높인다. 시뮬레이션을 통해 성능을 평가만 결과 실시간 메모리 교체 기법을 통해 실시간 프로세스의 마감 시간 성공 가능성이 높아짐을 확인하였다.

The Mediation Effect of the Work-Family Spillover between Full-time Married Working Women's Inefficient Working Culture and Career Interruption Intention (비효율적 업무문화와 경력단절의도와의 관계에서 일-가정 전이의 매개효과: 전일제 기혼 여성근로자를 대상으로)

  • The current study examines the mediation effect of the work-family spillover between full-time married working women's inefficient working culture and career interruption intention. The mediation effect is tested by classifying the work-family spillover effect into two subfactors: the work-family conflict and the work-family facilitation. For this purpose, we sampled 281 full-time married working women aged between 30 and 50s and conducted a hierarchical regression analysis. The main results are as follows: both work-family conflict and work-family facilitation play the role of partial mediation. This finding implies that it is necessary to carefully examine the effects of subfactors for work-family spillover to married working women's career interruption.

A Load Balancing Scheme for Multi-Link VPNs (다중링크 가상사설망을 위한 부하균등 기법)

  • Nowadays, VPN(Virtual Private Network) devices supporting multi-link connections only utilize the second link to backup the fail-off primary link. In practice, however, the occurrence of the link fail-off is so rare that the capacity available on the second link is wasted. In this paper, a scheme of establishing a VPN with multi-links, and load balancing between the links under normal circumstances is proposed in order to take advantage of multi-links, and to eventually increase the effective bandwidth of the VPN. Additionally, the transition functionality is also applied for the link fail-off case like existing VPN devices. Consequently, the proposed scheme enables VPNs with multi-links not only to maintain the higher availability but also to highly increase the effective bandwidth.

Convergence Research on the Studying Science Subjects before Entrance to Nursing department, the Scores of Basic Nursing Sciences and Academic Adjustment (간호학과 입학 전 과학과목학습과 기초간호과학성적 및 학업적응에 관한 융합적 연구)

  • This study is a descriptive survey on the studying science subjects before entrance to nursing department, the scores of basic nursing sciences and the academic adjustment. The data were analyzed using SPSS 19.0. There was a significant difference between studying certain science subjects before entrance and the scores of basic nursing sciences, studying Biology I, Chemistry I, Physics I and Earth science I increased mean score of basic nursing sciences(p<.05), there were positive correlations among them. And there was no correlation between studying science subjects before entrance and academic adjustment except Physics I, but, there was a positive correlation between score of basic nursing sciences and academic adjustment(r=0.296, p<.001). Also, studying science subjects before entrance affected partially to the scores of basic nursing sciences, and the scores of basic nursing sciences affected academic adjustment(p=.001). This result can be used in pre-school program for the freshmen after repeated study.

  • Structural rearrangements of uni-axially deformed polyethylenes containing 1-octene comonomer and HDPE upon heating were investigated by time-resolved small and wide angle X-ray scattering techniques. During heating, structural changes including crystal transformation and lamellar rearrangement noted were very different depending on the comonomer contents. At low comonomer content below 2 wt%, inverse martensitic transformation of crystal lattice from monoclinic to orthorhombic cell and the rearrangement of broken lamellar units into more ordered and perfect lamellar stacks were noted with the temperature increase. At high contents above 9.5 wt%, however, polyethylene copolymers showed neither the crystal transformation nor lamellar rearrangement that can be attributed to low crystallinity and high content of branch units.

  • This study analyzes the spillover effects of returns and volatility between the commodity market and the maritime freight market across various frequency domains (short-term, medium-term, long-term). The key findings of the study can be summarized as follows. First, from the perspective of returns, a high linkage is observed in the short-term between the commodity and maritime freight markets, with the metal commodities market playing a particularly significant role in information transmission effect of return series. Second, in terms of volatility, the total connectedness increases from the short- to the long-term, with substantial long-term risk transmission effects observed especially in the BDI, BDTI, agricultural, and energy commodity markets. Notably, during major global events such as the U.S.-China trade war, COVID-19, and the Russia-Ukraine conflicts, a marked increase in the risk transmission effect in the energy commodities market was identified.

  • Longitudinal data are measured repeatedly over time from the same subject, so there is a correlation from the repeated outcomes. Therefore, when analyzing this correlation, both serial correlation and between-subject variation must be considered in longitudinal data analysis. In this paper, we will focus on the marginalized models to estimate the population average effect of covariates among models for analyzing longitudinal binary data. Marginalized models for longitudinal binary data include marginalized random effects models, marginalized transition models, and marginalized transition random effect models, and in this paper, these models are first reviewed, and simulations are conducted using complete data and missing data to compare the performance of the models. When there were missing values in the data, there is a difference in performance depending on the model in which the data was generated. We analyze Korea Health Panel data using marginalized models. The Korean Medical Panel data considers subjective unhealthy responses as response variables as binary variables, compares models with several explanatory variables, and presents the most suitable model.

Effects of Limited Hyperextension at Knee Joint Using Limited Motion Knee Brace on Balance, Walking in Patients with Hemiplegia (슬관절 움직임 제한 보조기를 이용한 슬관절 과신전 제한이 편마비 환자의 균형과 보행에 미치는 영향)

  • The purposes of this study was to determine the effects of limited hyperextension at knee joint using Limited Motion Knee Brace on balance and walking in patients with hemiplegia. The subjects of this study were 20 post-stroke hemiplegic patients admitted. Subjects were randomly assigned to either experimental group (Limited Motion Knee Brace group) or control group (manual restriction group). Both groups received traditional physical therapy intervention. The effects of each therapeutic method were evaluated by measurements of gait ability assesment, Berg balance scale (BBS), 10-meter walk speed (10MWS), Timed Up & Go (TUG) Test. The results of this research were as followings: (1) After treatment, there were significant BBS scores differences in both experimental and control group compared with pre-treatment(p<0.05). (2) After treatment, there were significant TUG test scores differences in both experimental and control group compared with pre-treatment (p<0.05). (3) After treatment, there were significant 10MWS differences in both experimental and control group compared with pre-treatment (p<0.05). (4) There were significant BBS scores differences in third and fourth week between experimental and control group (p<0.05). It was concluded that Limited Motion Knee Brace was effective for improving balance and for reducing fatigue for experimental group. Therefore, further studies are required to investigate the effect of knee orthosis for improving balance and walking in patients with hemiplegia.

Deviations of Implant Position between Pre- and Post-operation in Computer-guided Template-based Implant Placement (Computer-guided template를 이용한 임플란트 식립에서 술 전과 술 후 사이의 임플란트 위치에 따른 변위량 검사)

  • With a development of implant restoration technique, there are increasing use of computer-guided system for edentulous patients. It was carried out simulated operation based on CT information about patient's bone quantity, quality and anatomical landmark. However, there are some difference between the programmed implant and post-operative implant about it's position. If the deviation was severe, it could happen a failure of 'passive fit' and not suited for path of implant restoration. The aim of this presentation is to evaluate about a degree of deviations between programmed implant and post-operative implant. Five patients treated by 'NobelGuide' system (Nobel Biocare AB, G$\ddot{o}$teborg, Sweden) in Department of Prosthodontics, Inha University were included in this study. The patients were performed CT radiograph taking and intra-oral impression taking at pre-operation. Based on CT images and study model, surgical stent was produced by NobelBiocareTM. To fabricated a pre-operative study model, after connected lab analog to surgical template, accomplished a pre-operative model using type 4 dental stone. At final impression, a post-operative study model was fabricated in the conventional procedures. Each study model was performed CT radiograph taking. Based on CT images, each implant was simulated in three dimensional position using $Procera^{(R)}$ software (Procera Software Clinical Design Premium, version 1.5; Nobel Biocare AB). In 3D simulated model, length and angulation between each implant of both pre- and post-operative implants were measured and recorded about linear and angular deviation between pre-and post-operative implants. A total of 24 implants were included in this study and 58 inter-implant sites between each implant were measured about linear and angular deviations. In the linear deviation a mean deviation of 0.41 mm (range 0~1.7 mm) was reported. In the angular deviation, a mean deviation was $1.99^{\circ}$ (range $0^{\circ}{\sim}6.7^{\circ}$). It appears that the both linear and angular mean deviation value were well acceptable to application of computer-guided implant system.
