Signal processing of interferometric fiber-optic sensor utilizing a digital homodyne detection (디지털 호모다인 검출방식을 이용한 간섭형 광섬유센서의 신호처리)

  • 레이저 다이오드 구동 전류펄스기간의 발진주파수 변조와 간섭계 출력신호의 시간지연 샘플링을 이용하여 3x3 coupler등과 같은 특수 광부품을 사용하지 않고도 1개씩의 광원과 광검출기를 이용하여 측정신호의 변화방향과 함께 half fringe의 수를 count할 수 있으며 광연결선 주변환경의 변화에 의한 세기변화 에러도 피할 수 있는 간섭형 센서를 위한 새로운 신호처리방식을 제안하고 이 방식을 거울내장형 FP간섭계를 이용한 온도센서에 적용하였다. 온도센서소자로 cavity length가 1cm인 FP간섭계를 이용하여 실온에서 360.deg.C에 걸쳐 분해능 2.7.deg.C로 측정하였으며 이때 최대측정속도는 $ 1.378*10^{5}$.deg.C/sec로 계산되었다. 이 방식에서 분해능과 최대측정속도는 반비례 관계를 가지며 감지 광섬유의 길이에 비례하여 분해능을 높일 수 있다. 또한 6개까지의 센서소자를 한개의 광원과 광검출기로 모니터하는 다중화 센싱 또한 가능한 신호처리 방식으로써 불평형 간섭계를 이용한 모든 종류의 센서에 대해 적용이 가능하다.

Output SINR Analysis of GPS Adaptive Interference Canceler Based on Modified Despreader (변형된 역확산기 기반의 GPS 적응 간섭제거기의 출력 SINR 해석)

  • The Global Positioning System (GPS), which has various military and commercial applications, is designed to estimate the location of the specific user or object. In order to accurately estimate the location, GPS requires at least four satellite signals. The GPS receiver operates on extremely low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) environment and it may suffer from various interference signals with the extremely high power. In this paper, we introduce a blind adaptive receiver based on the modified despreader, which suppress interference signals and detect GPS signals of interest without requiring explicit angle-of-arrival (AOA) information. We, also, provide the mathematical analysis for the signal-to-interference and noise ratio (SINR) of the modified despeader beamformer output. A representative computer simulation example is presented to illustrate the interference suppression performance of the considered GPS receiver and mathematical analysis of the SINR.

A DEMON Processing Robust to Interference of Tonals (토널 신호 간섭에 강인한 데몬 처리 기법)

  • Passive sonars employ DEMON(Detection of Envelope Modulation on Noise) processing to extract propeller information from the radiated noise of underwater targets. However, the conventional DEMON processing suffers from the interference of tonal signals because it extracts propeller signals and some types of tonal signals as well. If there are some tonals in the frequency band for DEMON processing, the conventional DEMON processing may additionally extract frequency informations originated from the interaction between different tonals. In this paper, we propose a modified DEMON processing, which can eliminate the interference of the tonals. The proposed algorithm removes tonals in DEMON processing band before demodulation processing, hence results the robustness to the interference of the tonals. Some numerical simulations demonstrate the improved performance of the proposed algorithm against the conventional algorithm.

Frequency Compatibility of FH Spread spectrum Communications in TV Channels (FH대역확산통신과 TV채널의 주파수 양립성에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate the effect of a FH spread spectrum communication interference in TV channels and frequency compatibility in 30-88 MHz frequency band. To calculate this interferece, the strength of electric field of TV signals is derived as a function of distance between TV transmitter and receiver. An interference model is established based upon thefield strength by using the relation between the transmitted power of FH spread spectrum communications and the distance between the TV image signals, which makes TV screen a cceptble, Simultaneous transmission of FH sprea spectrum signals and TV signals is shown to be feasible, as far as the interference level is lower than the TV image signal level by 23.5dBm. As a result of frequency analysis and experiment, the FH spread spectrum communication can be used together with TV channels.

  • In this paper, we introduce an improved sorting method of the IGIC(Improved initial stage Grouping Interference Canceller) system for advanced BER(Bit Error Rate) performance in DS-CDMA. Among non liner Interference Cancellers, the PIC(Parallel IC) with advanced initial stage by sorting method has the name of the IGIC(Improved initial stage Grouping Interference Canceller) system. In this system, All group are shared with the same number of users. But, if each group are divided the same users, so that difference of the signals strength appeared greatly in the same group. Up to this time, the weak signals have more effect of the MAI (Multiple Access Interference) from the strong signals in the same group. The proposed IC (Interference Canceller) to solve those problems has a better performance by using improved sorting method from IGIC system. A new sorting method is the technique that the strength of signals would be liked in the same group. So, the MAI is reduced as difference of signal strength minimize. Analysis of performance assayed to make comparison with other non liner interference canceller when power controlled and not one.

  • 전이중(full-duplex) 양방향 중계 네트워크는 전이중 방식을 사용하는 중계기에서 물리 계층 네트워크 부호화(physical layer network coding) 혹은 중첩 부호화(superposition coding)을 사용하여 기존 반이중(half duplex) 중계기를 사용하는 양방향 중계 네트워크에 비해 높은 주파수 효율을 제공한다. 본 논문에서는 전이중 양방향 중계 네트워크를 고려하여 전이중 방식에서 필연적으로 발생하는 루프간섭 신호의 영향을 살펴보았다. 여기에서 사용자 및 중계기는 루프간섭 신호를 제거하기 위해 루프간섭 신호를 추정한다. 하지만 루프간섭 신호를 추정할 때 추정 오류가 발생하여 수신 신호에서 루프간섭 신호를 완벽하게 제거하기는 어렵다. 모의실험에서는 이로 인해 발생할 수 있는 성능 변화를 불능 확률을 통해 분석하였다.

Tone Interference Cancellation Algorithm for Direct-Sequence Spread-Spectrum Systems (직접 대역 확산 시스템을 위한 톤 간섭 제거 알고리듬)

  • In this paper, we propose a frequency-domain tone interference cancellation algorithm for direct-sequence spread spectrum systems. In the previously proposed frequency-domain interference cancellation algorithms, the interference signal is estimated and compensated in the frequency-domain and then, with IFFT (inverse Fourier transform), the compensated frequency-domain signal is transformed to the time domain signal for the remaining receiver operations. Unlike the previous works, the proposed algorithm does not requires IFFT and thus, the proposed algorithm not only shows the virtually identical performance but also requires lower hardware complexity compared to the previous works.

  • Products of Wi-Fi devices in recent years offer higher throughput and have longer signal coverage which also bring unnecessary signal interference to neighboring wireless networks, and result in decrease of network throughput. Signal interference is an inevitable problem because of the broadcast nature of wireless transmissions. However it could be optimized by reducing signal coverage of wireless devices. On the other hand, smaller signal coverage also means lower transmission power and lower data throughput. Therefore, in this paper, we analyze the relationship among signal strength, coverage, interference and network throughput by simulation on various network topology.

Multichannel Blind Deconvolution of Multistage Structure to Eliminate Interference and Reverberation Signals (간섭 및 반향신호 제거를 위한 다단계 구조의 다채널 암묵 디콘볼루션)

  • In case that multichannel blind deconvolution (MBD) applies to signals of which autocorrelation has a high level, separated signals are temporally whitened by diagonal elements of a separation filter matrix. In order to reduce this distortion, the algorithms, which are based on either constraining diagonal elements of a separation filter matrix or estimating a separation filter matrix by using linear prediction residual signals, are presented. Still, some problems are generated in these methods, when we separate reverberation of signals themselves or interference signals from mixed signals. To solve these problems, this paper proposes the multichannel blind deconvolution method which divides processing procedure into the stage to separate interference signals and the stage to eliminate a reverberation of signals themselves. In simulation results, we confirm that the proposed algorithm can solve the problems.

  • Wireless channel exists interference by multipath a component. Adaptation array antenna that remove this interference a component forms null point about interference signal and maximizes gains about target signal. If target signal and correlative coherent interference signal are received, there is problem that is removed from arrangement output to target signal. And, adaptation array antenna is shortcoming that is sensitive in directivity error. Therefore, in this paper, introduce each existing algorithm to solve directivity error about coherent interference, and proposed beam forming technique that minimize degree of freedom loss and damage because analyzes the problem and reduces coherent interference and directivity error.
