Emergy-Based Value of the Contributions of the Youngsan River Estuary Ecosystem to the Korean Economy (에머지 방법론을 이용한 영산강 하구생태계의 기여 가치 평가)

  • An emergy concept was used to evaluate the contributions of the Youngsan River Estuary to the Korean economy from systems and ecosystem service perspectives. Total emergy input to the estuary was $9.42{\times}10^{20}$ sej/yr with the chemical potential of river inflow accounting for 73% of the total and tidal energy for the remaining 27%, reflecting the unique environmental characteristics of estuaries where rivers meet sea. From the systems perspective, the estuary ecosystem contributed 179.9 billion em\/yr (14.91 million em\/ha/yr or 13,526 em$/ha/yr). Four ecosystem services of the Youngsan River Estuary were selected for the emergy evaluation: fishery production, pollutant removal, aesthetic function, and scientific research information. Aesthetic function contributed the most to the Korean economy with 179.9 billion em\/yr, followed by fishery production (101.1 billion em\/yr), pollutant removal (32.6 billion em\/yr), and scientific research information (934 million em\/yr). Emergy-based values of the selected ecosystem services of the estuary were higher than those calculated by economic methodologies.

  • For securing technology and business competences of companies that is the engine of domestic industrial growth, government-supported policy programs for the creation of commercialization results in various forms such as 『Technology Transaction Market Vitalization』 and 『Technology Finance-based R&D Commercialization Support』 have been carried out since 2014. So far, various studies on technology valuation theories and evaluation variables have been formalized by experts from various fields, and have been utilized in the field of technology commercialization. However, Their practicality has been questioned due to the existing constraint that valuation results are assessed lower than the expectation in the evaluation sector. Even considering that the evaluation results may differ depending on factors such as the corporate situation and investment environment, it is necessary to establish a reference infrastructure to secure the objectivity and reliability of the technology valuation results. In this study, we investigate the evaluation infrastructure built by each institution and examine whether the latest artificial neural networks and deep learning technologies are applicable for performing predictive simulation of technology values based on principal variables, and predicting sales estimates and qualitative evaluation scores in order to embed onto the technology valuation system.

  • Recently, most corporations in Korea need to construct new management system for overcoming economic crisis. Firstly, this paper suggests “Value Creation system”. Secondly, this paper suggests CALS as strategic substitute to achieve market efficiency, capital efficiency, personal efficiency, and operation efficiency, which are four critical factors of “Value Creation system”. Korean corporations should build new business model founded on cooperation by completing CALS system and reconstruct competitive management system by using knowledge and know-how accumulated in that process. Because most corporations keep exclusive corporate culture and little experience of cooperative relationship among businesses, strategic approaches are essential for construction of CALS. These are vertical integration, organization of CALS construction teams, concurrent development of product/process, CEO's iron will, Precise vision and strategies, and education/training of participant.

  • The amount of online scholarly information rapidly expands in numerous resources, while user behavior demands single search box interface like Google Scholar. Despite scholarly values of e-resources libraries provide, users consider Google Scholar as the most efficient research tool attracted by its speed, simplicity, ease of use, and convenience. Characteristics of Metasearch System compared with Google Scholar are analyzed from perspectives of the interface and e-resource. Based on usage statistics of Metasearch System along with a link resolver in one academic library, e-resource accessibility patterns and information seeking behaviors of subject-specific areas are investigated for electronic information services.

  • IT투자 성과의 정량화에 대한 필요성이 높아짐에 따라 많은 학계와 연구단체에서 IT투자 성과의 화폐가치 전환 및 정량적 평가를 위한 다양한 측정방법들을 개발하여 제시하고 있으며, 이들 기법을 활용하여 IT투자 성과를 정량적으로 평가하는 기업들이 점차 늘고 있다. 그러나 이와 같은 IT투자성과의 정량적 평가 기법을 도입한 기업의 실무자들은 화폐가치로 전환되어 도출된 결과들이 가시적으로 확인될 수 있는 것이 아니기 때문에 IT가 제공하는 실 효과를 제대로 반영하여 평가되었는지에 대하여 확신하지 못하고 있다. 이에 본 연구는IT투자 성과의 정량적 평가 결과를 기존의 많은 연구를 통해 IT투자 성과의 정성적인 평가로 입증된 사용자 만족도로써 설명이 가능한지를 사례 기업의 정량적 평가결과와 사용자 만족도를 분석함으로써 상관관계를 파악하였다. 사례 연구 결과, 다음과 같은 시사점을 도출하였다. 첫째, 정보화 효과금액은 사용자 만족도와 상관관계가 있다. 둘째, 합리적인 정보화효과금액의 도출을 위해서는 조직 내에서 시스템의 효과를 정량화할 수 있는 지표 개발 및 화폐전환데이터의 관리가 중요하다. 셋째, IT ROI는 시스템간의 성과를 비교하는 것에는 부적절하며 개별시스템의 성과 및 효율성 측정 기준으로 사용한다. 넷째, 정량적 평가가 여전히 시스템의 전략적인 부분 등에 대한 평가에는 미흡하기 때문에 이를 보완하기 위한 방법으로 사용자 만족도의 사용이 가능하다.

  • This study focused on service quality, service value, service satisfaction and service trust of system being used in DAPA(Defence Aquisition Program Adminstration) to manage logistic items. DAPA in operating a few systems to manage efficiently logistic items. This study focused on the catalog management system service quality. Because catalog management system has been the most requested service system of being used in DAPA by defense firms since DAPA was founded, it would be the most fitted system in this study. Through this study, we drew a direction in establishing service. This study also could be applied to business practice so defence industry firms would trust DAPA and DAPA could offer a better service quality. Quick and exact service offered by logistic catalog management system would lead delivery of military supplies and export. Consequently, the best quality service would contribute to profit increase for defence industry firms, independent defence and nation economy development.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate what influence the external variables of the RFID system for eco-friendly agricultural products such as reliability, safety, effectiveness and innovation have on ease and usefulness, perceived value and behavioral intention. An empirical analysis were conducted to the general consumers over the age of 20 years who live in Seoul and Gyeonggi areas having experience of buying eco-friendly agricultural products in department stores, supermarkets and eco-friendly agricultural product specialty stores from November 10 to November 23, 2012, A total of 350 copies of questionnaire were distributed for this research and, excluding partial ones that were too concentrated on one side or found missing values, a total of 305 copies(87.1%) were used as the final statistical analysis data. The result shows that such external variables of the RFID system for eco-friendly agricultural products as liability, safety, effectiveness and innovation are useful enough as a theoretical basis for later study on RFID systems for eco-friendly agricultural products. Also, it reveals that, since all the process from production to sale of agricultural products can be seen, the products are provided safely for consumers, are objectively and rapidly investigated when problems occur, induce a positive attitude with their historical information, and are supplied through systematic management such as consumers' rights to know and choose and recall of unfit products.

  • Value Engineering(VE) is an organized effort to create the most value through a functional analysis and creation of alternatives. Depending on the VE job plan, a VE Workshop must be performed in a certain place within a certain period of time. A VE Workshop, which is an organized activity that aims to create the best value through functional analysis and creation of alternatives, should be held in a certain place and at a scheduled time according to the VE job plan. In the Pre-Study, VE Study and Post-Study phases of VE, functional assessments, performance evaluations and idea evaluations are driven by variable management techniques and analysis methods, respectively. Generally, VE is executed for about 3 to 5 days in a particular place to create value. However, there are many problems associated with limiting all VE processes to a specific place and schedule. Moreover, in Korea, VE teams are required to finish all VE processes in a limited time because of the short duration of VE workshops, the necessity of which has been overlooked. Therefore, an efficient VE support system is required to resolve the problem of time and space limitations. In this study, a VE support system based on the Mobile environment was developed to support the VE Workshop process. This VE support system enables participants to review design documents, drawing sheets and all VE-related documents using mobile devices. After the Workshop, participants can conveniently rearrange the result(evaluation of function and ideas) at the workshop. Not only can the members of VE team can review the design documents, drawing sheet and all VE-related documents in the step before the workshop, but also the result(evaluation of function and ideas) of the workshop can be easily rearranged in the phase after the workshop under the developed supporting system using mobile devices.

  • 인터넷과 웹 기술의 발전은 전자도서관의 목록정보나 목차정보서비스에서 원문정보서비스로의 변화를 주도하고 있다. 그러나 대학에서 생산하는 학문적 가치가 높은 학술지들은 웹을 통해 원문으로 서비스되고 있지만 상이한 OPAC 시스템과 목록을 위한 통일된 메타데이터의 부재로 원문정보를 공유$.$활용하기가 매우 힘든 실정이다. 본 고에서는 각 대학에서 생산하고 구축된 원문정보를 메타데이터 기반의 목록시스템을 이용하여 모든 대학의 학술지 논문정보를 검색하여 공유할 수 있는 분담목록시스템모형을 제시함으로써 대학 학술지 이용의 효율적 방안을 모색 해보고자 한다.
