The purpose of this study was to explore what social media posts tell us about family life during the COVID-19 pandemic by examining the keywords and topics underlying posts on blogs and online forums. Our criteria for web crawling were (a) blog and forum posts on Naver and Daum, the top portal sites in Korea, (b) posts between February 23 and April 19, 2020, the period of the first heightened social distancing orders, and (c) inclusion of "COVID" and "family" or "COVID" and "home." We analyzed 351,734 posts using TF-IDF values and topic modeling based on latent Dirichlet allocation. We identified and named 22 topics including COVID-19 prevention, family infection, family health, dietary life and changes, religious life, stuck at home, postponed school year, family events, travel and vacations, concerns about family and friends, anxiety and stress, disaster and damage, COVID-19 warning text messages, family support policies, Shin-cheon-ji and Daegu. According to the changing environment of modern society, a resident of the symbols reflects the growing need for housing has risen. Recently the participation of women in Korea, increased divorce rates, diversification of types of jobs, personal life, due to the typically family-oriented values is not the type of atypical forms of various types of households (a person households, newlyweds, Late Marriage Couples, single parent households, cohabiting, single core, including a disclaimer) is formed, and this trend for the social composition of the new housing environment is required. In this study, South Korea, Japan, the two countries central to the values of personal life for the area be developed by the individual but in reality did not meet the residential space in the current "environmental action research" living life based on the construction of a personal area tend to be aware of. Central values of private life, which amplified the possibility of increased prices as the difficulties in living life the most "private area" Building "area of the discrepancies" and controlled through the building of the reason for the tendency of humans in the future by identifying Oriented for the formation of residential space is to provide basic information. In addition, changes in family patterns in Japan and South Korea ahead of the current family patterns by comparing the present and future of Korea is trying to think.
The purpose of this research is to find out the differences in family chareteristics and housing plans between public supporting households and general rental households in the public rental housing. One hundred eighty nine residents in chonju were analyzed. There were some differences between the two groups in family characteristics such as family size.age.a job.sex of the household head existence of mate.etc. The most desired facility was a public health center. The desiring macro environment and plan to move were similar between two groups. There were differences in the opinions on housing policies for the public rental housing between two groups.
The purpose of this study is to examine major factors that affect patterns of living arrangements of older Korean noncitizens in the United States using the 1990 8% Public Use Microdata Sample(PUMS). In order to do so, I analyzed the effects of four factors including acculturation(English proficiency and Age at migration), economic circumstances(Personal Income and Supplemental Security Income: SSI receipt), health status(Mobility and Personal care limitation), and the ethnic community. The results show that acculturation and economic circumstances play an important role in determining the patterns of living arrangements among older Korean aliens, whereas the health status and the ethnic community do not show consistent effects. Regardless of marital status, the impact of age at migration is positively associated with solitary living of older Korean noncitizens, though, the effect of English proficiency show the opposite direction in accordance with marital status. That is, among nonmarried elders, those who cannot speak English are more likely to live alone. The case is reverse for married elders. The impact of economic feasibility is also positively associated with independent living arrangements. Those who receive SSI are much more likely to live apart from family, and elders whose annual personal income between $5,001 and $10,000 have the greatest propensity of solitary living-a large proportion of their income source is SSI. Individuals who receive SSI are also qualified to collect Medicaid, food stamps, rent subsidies, and other welfare benefits. In a sense, the economic feasibility provided by welfare benefits is the key determinant of independent living of older Korean noncitizens. Therefore, the recent welfare reform which denies legal aliens welfare benefits such as SSI and food stamps will severly affect the present living arrangements of older Korean aliens, and give economic burden to their family member The findings also show that there are significant differences within the elderly Korean Americans in terms of demographics, income, fertility, health status, and patterns of living arrangements by U.S. citizenship status. In particular, after controlling for age at migration as a proxy for acculturation, there is a statistically significant variation in living arrangements between elderly Korean noncitizens and naturalized citizens. For both theoretical and methodological reasons, future research on minority aging needs to investigate the concept of U.S. citizenship status for its impact on patterns of living arrangements among the minority elderly.

A goal of this research is to propose the remodeling possibility from deteriorated stock apartment housing, to three generation family living in a dwelling unit for low incomes. An apartment housing which was built from 1970s, is accumulated over $55\%$ of the stock housing in Korea, many of them are confront with a rebuilding in a short usage of twenty years below. They are small one, and many of the residence complain narrow and small space compare to economic growth and their needs. This article deals the reform of two to one dwelling units, that it can be use for three generation family living as a new residence, because its spatial character is more controled privacy condition as a four bay spatial organization in the dwelling. The reform simulated in a 10, 13, 14, 15, and 16 pyung, the remodeling size became from 20 to 30 pyung, and its reform can be apply to extend life cycle of a stock confront with redevelopment. The possibility of the reform houses have more intensive privacy in a house compare with same area of new apartment. It tells us that we can recycle the deteriorate apartment house into three generation family living use, and it will be clue to change slum clearance into reform and recycle of deteriorate apartment house.

Many housing studies and education programs in Korea have focused on design, planning, and construction. Houses and nearby environments are a large portion of the total assets each household possesses. However, effective and efficient housing management of housing assets has been relatively neglected. Facility management can be defined as the practice of coordinating the physical environment with the people and process (work of the organization). The purpose of this study is to figure out the construct of courses of Housing majors in the College of Human Ecology in Korea and investigate facilities management programs and courses provided in the U.S. to explore the possibility of merging facility management perspectives and educational programs into housing studies. Many courses provided in facility management programs have human ecology perspectives in terms of a multidisciplinary approach, life cycle commitment, and various stakeholders building physical, social, and ecological milieu. By merging and supplementing the existing curricula of housing and consumer studies, facility nanagement programs and courses could be a possible alternative to specialized housing education programs.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the present condition of work-leisure balance and its influencing factors in employed young single households. Three groups of sample households-work-oriented, balanced, and leisure-oriented-were compared by factors related to work and leisure. Six cases were interviewed to obtain qualitative data on the subjective meaning of work-life balance and its influencing factors. The results showed different characteristics between the three groups based on the various work- and -leisure- related factors: average weekly working hours of the week, number of vacation days per year, weekday leisure time, degree of weekday freedom, and sufficiency of the leisure cost. In addition, the characteristics considered desirable for quality of life differed between groups. Finding the meaning of life through work and leisure was very important for those respondents, who have an unstable position in the labor market, and who want to delay making decisions on moving into the marriage and family-building phase recognized as a major development task for Korean adults.
Today, the rapid economic growth and emerging new trends have been changed radically throughout the society and they especially have affected the changes of life-style and the diversity of residents'demands in housing life. This changes of life have brought the shift in family form from traditional type, thus new phase of nuclear family means that it makes on the whole, variable family forms such as single family, non-blood one, a generation one and so on. It therefore is time that we should not only explore current housing plans, but envisage concept of new living space to satisfy latent need of the occupants. But the forms, in spite of the diversity of user's needs and the change of life-style, of many houses as many apartment and tenement houses supplied so far have been clearly limted, and housing policy of the mass-supply causes monotonous space composition, over-occupation and non-changeability. Now, the collective houses have some limits owing to the commoness and assemblage, but they have failed to keep up with the variable and changeable life-style of residents. These problems, to put it concretely, lead to increasing needs for the number of rooms in proportion to family members, for the change of behavior using the space. We therefore need to propose the new living space. As the current plans for designing house are based on the average life-style of people, they can not cope with variable demands of the resident. For that reason, this paper will propose the manual space system as an alternative for it and the goal is to suggest new furniture system which we need to create the flexibility of living space.
