  • 개폐기는 검수 규격을 통과하였더라도 실선로에서 사용시 다양한 환경조건에서 발생할 수 있는 복합요인에 의해 내용년수 이전에 고장이 발생할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 국내 25.8 kV 가스절연개폐기에 대해 실계통 성능, 취약점 등을 파악하기 위하여 신품, 사용품, 수명시험을 완료한 제품에 대해 전기적, 기계적, 환경시험 전 후 특성변화를 살펴보았다.

  • In this paper, we propose a diagnosis algorithm for 25.8kV $N_2$ insulated Pad-mounted Switchgear in oder to improve reliability by preventing of fault in advance. The proposed algorithm can diagnose the problems of Pad-mounted Switchgear such as gas leakage and VI(Vacuum Interrupter) trouble (contact abrasion, coil aging etc.) by using pressure sensor, stroke sensor and coil current sensor.

  • 본 논문에서는 안정적인 변전소의 운영을 위해 최근 개발된 WEB 기반의 초고압 변전설비 원격감시 및 진단 시스템을 소개한다 WEB 기반의 초고압 변전설비 원격 감시 및 진단 시스템은 154kV급 이상의 초고압 변전소에 설치되어 있는 주변압기(MTR)와 가스절연개폐기(GIS)에 대한 감시 및 진단 데이터를 취득하는 Local System과 이러한 데이터를 전송 받아 감시 및 진단 기능과 WEB 서비스를 수행하는 Main Control Center로 구분된다. 실적용 사례로 최근 산업체의 몇 개 공장을 대상으로 시범 적응한 154kV급 변전소의 WEB 기반 감시 및 진단 시스템을 소개한다. 나아가 변전기기를 제어하기 위한 시스템과의 연계 방법에 대해 언급하고 있다.

  • 가스개폐기의 고장을 예방하기 위해서는 열화상태를 진단하여 고장을 일으키기 전에 교체하는 것이 가장 바람직하다. 이를 위해서는 제품의 제조상태, 불량가능성 등 이력사항을 진단하고 활선 진단을 통한 내부 상태를 파악한 후 위험도를 평가할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 국내 배전개폐기의 열화 및 수명인자를 이용하여 개폐기 고장 위험을 예측할 수 있는 기법을 제시하였다.

Partial Discharge Measurement by a Capacitive Voltage Probe in a Gas Insulated Switch (가스절연개폐기에서 용량성 전압프로브를 이용한 부분방전 측정)

  • This paper described the partial discharge (PD) measurement techniques for diagnosing gas-insulated switches in overhead power distribution system. A capacitive voltage probe to detect PD pulse was designed and fixed on the surface of a bushing. We also designed a coupling network to attenuate AC voltage by 270 dB, and a low-noise amplifier having the gain of 40 dB and 500 kHz~20 MHz 3 dB. From the calibration, it was calculated that the sensitivity of the measurement system was 0.94mV/pC. In the application experiment, we could measure a PD pulse of 45 pC.

  • The performance of circuit interruption of $SF_6$ puffer cylinder type gas circuit breaker(GCB) has been evaluated from the results of electrical insulation strength which is depend on material property, such as $SF_6$ gas density in circuit breaker tank. In order to determine circuit breaker dimension in the safety criteria. electrical field analysis has been done by finite element method. Gas density of concerned area in the circuit breaker has been calculated. In order to predict small current break performance, Electrical field analysis result must be calculated based the results of density from cold flow dynamics. The proposed method has been carried out and evaluated for 362kV class high voltage GIS.

  • $SF_6$ gas has been increasingly used as the insulating and arc-suppressing medium in switchgears which are used as the protection devices of power system. Nowadays, most of power companies adopted the $SF_6$ gas-type load break switch for increasing the reliability of distribution network by its superior durability against external environmental condition, in substitution for air-type and oil-type switches. But, it is important to establish the general estimation process for the testing and estimation for long-term reliability. Accordingly, this paper presents the reliability testing method for $SF_6$ gas load break switch which is based on the analysis of the failure mode and the statistics.

  • SF_6 gas has been increasingly used as the insulating and arc-suppressing medium in switchgears which are used as the protection devices of power system. Nowadays, with these trends, SF_6 load break switches have rapidly substituted for the air or oil-type load break switches, in order to get higher reliability. And, the national standard was made for reliability assessment of SF_6 gas load break switch and testing facilities was also set in KERI(Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute ). This paper introduces the synopsis for the reliability assessment requirements specified in the standard and the assessment results.

  • The digital substation automation system has contributed hugely to increasing the stability of power systems by providing not only protection and control of power systems but diagnostic features alongside them. Digital substation automation systems in the scale of substations consist of integrated operation systems and intelligent electronic devices. The main intelligent electronic devices currently in use are digital protection relays and the bay controllers in Gas insulated switchgears. Proficiently accomplishing the coordination of protection within the power system as a means of ensuring reliability and contriving for the stability of power supply through connection of function, the application of bay controllers is crucial, which collectively manage the protection relay at the bay level in order to achieve both. In this research, the bay controllers to be used in high-voltage Gas insulated switchgear has been localized, and in particular, the logic function and editor required in order to minimize the complicated hardware-like cable connections in the local panel have been developed. In addition, to ensure the strength and reliability of the bay controller hardware developed herein, the type tests from KERI have been successfully completed.

  • An objective of this paper is to develop a partial discharge (PD) measurement device for monitoring gas insulated switches installed in power distribution system. A capacitive voltage probe was studied and designed to detect PD pulse without an electrical connection. The PD measurement device consists of the capacitive voltage probe attached outside of a bushing, a coupling network which attenuates AC voltage by 270 dB, and a low noise amplifier with the gain of 40 dB in ranges of 500 kHz${\sim}$20 MHz. The sensitivity of the prototype device calculated by a calibrator was 1.98 m V /pc. An application experiment was carried out in a 25.8 kV gas insulated switch and the peak pulse of 76.7 pC was detected. From the experimental results, it is expected that the PD measurement device can be applied to online monitoring system of gas insulated switches.
