A New Method for Enhancement of Right-Left Pump Output Balance in the Totally Implantable Artificial Heart (완전이식형 인공심장의 좌,우 심박출량 균형의 개선에 관한 연구)

  • A new balancing method of atrial pressures balancing for the moving actuator total artificial heart(TAH) without an extra compliance chamber was developed. The asymmetric operation of the pendulous moving actuator have made it possible to compensate the left and right pump output difference by utilizing the interventricular air space as an internal compliance chamber in a pump housing. Furthermore, the balancing performance between left and right pump outputs is increased through the improvement of the flexibility of part of the polyurethane housing. However, the increase of the flexibility of the pump housing causes a little loss of the cardiac output due to the reduction of active filling property. In this paper., a good condition between the balance and pump output performance is evaluated by adjusting the air volume in the interventricular space through a series of in vitro experiments. This new pump was implanted in a sheep weighting 63kg, and it survived for 3 days and the average cardiac output during postoperative days was about 4.2 L/mim with the atrial pressures under 15 mmHg.

  • The network induced transmission delay deteriorates the performance and stability of the real-time distributed control system on LonWorks over IP (LonWorks/IP) virtual device network (VDN). LonWorks/IP virtual device network is an integrated form of LonWorks device network and IP data network. The time delay in servo control on the LonWorks/IP-based VDN has highly stochastic nature. In the real-time distributed servo applications for predictive maintenance on the factory floor, timely response is essential.

  • A dB-linearity improved variable gain amplifier (VGA) for GPS receiver is presented. The Proposed dB-linear current generator has improved dB-linearity error of ${\pm}0.15$dB. The VGA for GPS is designed using proposed dB-linear current generator and composed of 3 stage amplifiers. The IF frequency is assumed as 4MHz and the linearity requirement of the VGA for GPS receiver is defined as 24dBm of IIP3 using cascaded IIP3 equation and the VGA satisfies 24dBm when minimum gain mode. The DC-offset voltage is eliminated using DC-offset cancelation loop. The gain range is from -8dB to 52dB and the dB-linearity error satisfies ${\pm}0.2$dB. The 3-dB frequency has range of 35MHz~106MHz for the gain range. The VGA is designed using 0.18${\mu}m$ CMOS process. The power consumption is 3mW with 1.8V supply voltage.

  • This paper proposed a speed adaptive control system with load torque observer and feed-forward compensation using neural network for air compressor system driven an induction motor. The motor receive impact load change under the influence of piston movement of up and down, and so it difficult to obtain good speed control characteristics. With real-time adjusting control gain estimated in neural network, control characteristics of motor is improved. The validity of the proposed system is confirmed through the theoretical analysis and computer simulation.

  • This paper presents the design and measurement of a flight model for a Ku-Band Linearized Channel Amplifier. All MMICs, Variable Gain Amplifier (VGA), Variable Voltage Attenuator ('.IVA), Branch line Coupler and Detector for Pre-distorter are fabricated using a Thin-Film Hybrid process. The performance of the fabricated module is verified through the radio frequency circuit simulation tool and electrical function test in space environment.

정지형 능동전력 필터

  • 본고에서는 교류전원측에 발생하는 고조파를 제거하기 위한 정지형 능동전력필터에 관해 기술하였다. 능동필터는 기존의 L-C필터와는 달리 능동소자인 전류원을 사용하여 계통으로 직접 고조파보상전류를 주입합으로써 고조파를 상쇄시키는 장치이다. 이러한 정지형 필터가 갖는 특성을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 정지형 필터는 한대만으로 다수대의 L-C 수동필터를 부착한 것과 같은 효과를 발휘한다. 2. 필터가 전류를 주입한 만큼 고조파를 제거시키게 되므로 과부하로 되는 일이 전혀 없다. 3. 능동필터내 전류형 인버터에 인가되는 신호를 조작해서 제거하는 고조파의 차수들과 양을 얼마든지 가변시킬 수 있다. 4. 정지형 필터는 수동필터의 경우처럼 주파수와 L및C의 변동에 따라 고조파 억제특성이 변하지 않는다. 이상과 같은 장점을 지니는 정지형 필터는 설비비의 면에서도 수동필터보다 불리하지는 않을 것이다. 더구나 저렴한 대용량의 반도체소자들이 지속적으로 개발될 것으로 미루어 다음 세대의 교류필터로서 각광받을 것이다. 그리고 현존하는 능동필터에 무효전력보상의 기능까지 추가시켜 하나의 장치로 구성시키는 문제는 금후 이루어져야 할 좋은 연구과제라고 사료된다.

  • 일반적으로 3상 PWM AC/DC 컨버터는 정상상태 에러 제거 및 빠른 과도응답 특성을 얻기 위해 동기 좌표계상으로 모델링하여 제어한다. 그러나 이와 같은 제어기는 입력전압이 평형일 경우를 전제조건으로 하므로, 입력전원이 불평형인 경우 입력전류와 출력전압에 고조파 성분이 나타나게 된다. 본 논문에서는 전원전압을 동기좌표계상의 정/역상 분으로 분석한 후 두 축(D, Q)의 역기전력 보상성분을 전원전압의 상태에 따라 적절하게 가변하고, 무효 전력과 고조파 전력 성분을 선택적으로 제거함으로써 입출력 시스템의 역률 및 고조파 성분을 효과적으로 보상하기 위한 간단하면서도 효과적인 제어기법을 제안하고, 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통하여 검증하였다.

Adaptive Watermarking Method using Watermark Detection Rate (워터마크 검출율에 기반한 적응적 워터마킹 방법)

  • This paper proposes an adaptive video watermarking algorithm according to bit detection rate of watermark in MPEG2 system. The watermark strength is adaptively applied as BER(bit error rate) of watermark extracted from decoded frame for motion compensation. Watermark insertion uses a frequency spread spectrum method. A realtime watermark extraction is done directly in the DCT domain during MPEG decoding. The experimental simulations show that PSNR(peak signal to noise ratio) results 31.5dB for a fixed watermark strength and 33.dB for an adaptive watermark strength. Also average BER is 0.126 and less than 0.2 avaliable value.
