The facade in the street is a unfixed type, thus it is not easy to investigate the characteristic of structures. In addition, a color mainly depends on sensitivity, therefore, it is very difficult to provide the solution of the problems. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between a form of the facade and a color, and to introduce the methodology and the direction of the color scheme for the facade in the street. for the purpose of this study, 47 facades are empirically analyzed. Based upon the results of research analysis, this study try to find out the relationship among the formative continuity of the facade in the street, a color, and the quality of the material. From the results, it suggests the new direction for the image formation of the facade in the street centering around a color. This study concludes that the characteristics of the facade in the street is discontinuous, and the color scheme is not based on the formative continuity. Moreover, the whole street is composed of each strong individual character. In order to harmonious creation of the facade in the street, primary colors and painting colors should be constrained. Finally, the color scheme based on the formative continuity of the facade in the street should be carefully considered.

본 연구에서는 2000년대 중반 이후의 가요 CD 커버의 장르별 색채 특성에 대하여 분석하였다. 댄스, 락, 랩&힙합, 발라드의 4가지 장르로 구분하였고 KSCA (Korea Standard Color Analysis) 프로그램을 사용하여 각 이미지에서 5%이상 쓰인 주조색을 $L^*A^*B$, RGB, CMYK, 그리고 NCS 값으로 추출하여 색상 계열별로 사용 빈도를 정리하였다.

This paper mainly focuses on the Korean Folk Village and Beijing Si-He-Yuan, according to the color theory of hue, value and chroma of Munsell color system to demonstrates the similarities and differences of the traditional upper-class housing between South Korea and China. As the neighboring countries sharing very similar culture and philosophy which owe to the continual communications between China and Korea in the history. The Obangsaek which is derived from the thought of five-elements profoundly and deeply impact on the color selection of traditional housing in both countries. According to the quantitative analysis of photographs, it was found that: 1. The commonly used colors in Korea are Y, YR and neutral color, but in China, people usually used R and GY, especially the high chroma red in Beijing Si-He-Yuan was used as a symbolic color. 2. The chroma preference of traditional housing reveals that people in China used to apply the polychrome and various brightness, on the contrary, the color of low chroma and high lightness were used to be applied in Korea which can give the sense of simplicity and tranquility. 3. Red, one of the Obangsaek affects the color characteristic of Beijing Si-He-Yuan critically but scarcely impact on the color characteristic of Korean Folk Village.

In this paper, a fuzzy set based decision support system is designed for the color planning, that uses the linguistic image words of the space to be colored and progressively recommend the harmoneous colors for each objects in the space. The linguistic image words denotes various emotional effects of the colored space represented as the adjectives like 'romantic', 'beautiful', and so on. The search for object color should not destroy the overall image of the colored space and should be harmoneous with the previously determined object colors. The developed color planning system is composed of five subsystems; two dimentional graphic tools to draw the color space, the input system to receive the linguistic image words, the system to determine and recommend the main colcrs, the system to determine the harmonious colors and the system to adjust the determined wlor objects. We expect that the system can help designers and the persons who are not good at color design, and it can be applied to various color design such as interior, fashions, and product design.

In the modern urban landscape design, historical and cultural factors are drawing more and more attention in addition to the factor of beauty. To evaluate an urban landscape design, it's quite important to explore the history and culture background of the city. Color of a city reflects the city characteristics and shows the city image. Color planning has become an important part of city landscape design nowadays. A harmonious landscape cannot be without a unified color planning. The color planning should take not only the integrity but also the regionality into consideration. Color planning has a profound impact on public life. This paper studies on streetscape color of two famous places which are Seoul Insa-dong and Shanghai Xintiandi. According to the empirical and comparative study, this paper will give on-site assessment and comprehensive evaluation. Furthermore, this paper will indicate the differences and similarities of the traditional Streetscape of South Korea and China, using the color theories of Korea Image Resource Institute. This survey results will be helpful to the urban landscape color planning.

The demand against the house space of the style which is various increases with to join in and the importance which the color does hold gradually is magnified and color meaning from house space is embossed, diversification the necessity of the color plan which hits to the social change which is turning out is recognized. From the research which it sees the importance recognition against the color plan which is must become accomplished variousfrom house space. It analyzes the color tendency of the apartment model house and it presents it does the guide line of house space color design $2001{\sim}2004$ It was sold in lots from the year Busan area in center, the acreage and the space(the wall/the ceiling, the furniture type, the window and door type and the floor type) it used 'The hue&tone 120 color system' and it grasped to the sincere analysis method and the color use present condition which leads a frequency analysis. When it sees the color analysis result of the research which it sees space especially the color plan period for a discrimination compared to the organic enemy the unity which considers a relationship the crisis which will the plan is become accomplished with the direction for, Magnification feeling or high class of the area it is that it shows the color tendency which is discriminated it was with equilibrium general classification.

As all other cultures do, in the background of color of costume, view of life or spirit are contained in the nature or environment that the people lived in are applied. Marring is the ceremony to be socially recognized that both of sexes are unified, assist ancestor and bear future generation. Meaning and symbolism of color are appeared in beauty and organic composition of Lee dynasty. This paper tried to dear up five colors are dean, beautiful and philosophical colors rather than awkward composition of colors through surveying character of five colors appeared in Korean traditional wedding dress that has been succeeded in present age. This paper compared Korean traditional wedding dress and "Dan-chung" of Korea, Japan and China and surveyed theoretical background of Korean traditional color to find character of color appeared in Korean traditional wedding dress. As a result, Korean traditional color is meaningful symbolic color, its origin starts in yin-yang and the live elements of the Oriental cosmogony and it is related with Taoism of Confucianism and color of "Dan-chung." Five colors of yin-yang means everything under the sun and il is the color achieving beauty of balance due to correlation when it is linked to over one color. Further, it contains nature worship and human dignity, prays happiness and gives the significance of "Buksa", meaning of expelling an evil spirit. Formative beauty praying that all creatures are harmonized while human is happy and escapes from uncertainty is the beauty pursuing mental satisfaction as well as visual satisfaction.
