A Study on the Game Criticism: Meta-analytical Approach to Game Critiques (게임비평에 대한 연구 : 게임비평 텍스트의 메타분석적 접근)

  • Digital games have become a major part of the modern popular culture, but little attention has been paid to understanding the textuality of games and what the game texts have the cultural meanings. As the games develop, however, the academic and journalistic game critiques and reviews that try to understand and to deconstruct the game texts are on the rise. This study explores how the game criticism characterizes the game texts, creates and shapes the understanding of games. The finding shows that game criticism is rich and varied in terms of themes and approaches covered, more generally, games criticism can also help preserve game history by focusing on the distinctive game textuality, forms and meanings, and by contextualizing the links and cultural meanings that exist between games and between games and the cultural context.

A Simulation Study on the Removal Process of the Heavy Metal Ion in Aqueous Solution by the Functionalized Silica Beads (기능화된 실리카 비드를 이용한 수용액상의 중금속 이온의 제거공정에 대한 모사 연구)

  • The removal process of heavy metal ion in aqueous solution by the functionalized silica bead was simulated using the finite difference method. Equilibrium model and non-equilibrium model were proposed and the effects of dimensionless groups and various parameters were investigated. Freundlich isotherm was used in equilibrium model and 1st order adsorption rate expression was assumed in non-equilibrium model. The comparison results by the predictions of equilibrium and non-equilibrium models showed good agreement. The predictions of equilibrium model were compared with experimental results reported in literature and showed the marginal agreement.

  • This study examined the issue of criticism in Korean Chinese literature in 1990's. This is transitional time why China introduced a market economy system. It had an important effect on Korean Chinese society not the cultural climate but also literature. Besides, Diplomatic Relation between Korea and China in 1992 gave an impulsion to changing literature. So this study tried to take note of directionality of Korean Chinese literature through the Korean Chinese magazine Literature and Art(Munhakwayesul) and Zhangbaikshan. First issue of Korean Chinese literature in early 1990's is crisis and restoration of criticism genre. At that time criticism faced with what is modernity. Some critics insisted that criticism should to improve. So it was necessary to accept foreign theory. Then they were concerned postmodernism and deideology tendency. What was important thing is that they would find their culture identity. So few critics tried to communicated with world literature. Especially they emphasized communication with Korean writer who lives in other country. Ultimately they thought that Korean Chines literature must get literal universality and ethnic speciality. For example poet Nam-YoungJeon's totem poetry is representative work. The issues of Korean Chines criticism in 1990's are not directivity of literature but also directivity of culture identity. Korean Chines literature had departed from Socialistic realism little by little and had getting diversity. Above all things criticism aimed for international sense and ethnic culture identity.

Analysis of Preservice Elementary Teachers' Critiques of Peers' Inquiry-Based Instruction (예비 초등교사들의 동료 탐구 수업 비평 분석)

  • This study aims to analyze criteria and characteristics for preservice elementary teachers' critiques of their peers' inquiry-based instruction. This study reviews critiques written by 31 preservice elementary teachers enrolled in an elementary school science inquiry methods course wherein the teachers designed and implemented inquiry-based instruction. These preservice teachers participated in inquiry-based instruction as if they were elementary students and then evaluated their peers' instruction. Analysis of the critiques reveals that preservice teachers evaluated their peers' instruction on the following criteria: instruction context, science content, teaching strategies, students, instructional goals, non-verbal attitude, and assessment. Their beliefs about teaching science inquiry were reflected in the critiques. Additionally, it was found that four orientation for teaching inquiry-didactic, academic rigor, activity-driven, inquiry orientation-reflected in critiques; some of critiques held more than one of these orientations. And they did not merely criticize but suggested alternatives to general teaching strategies; furthermore, of inquiry-instruction specific teaching strategies. They showed higher epistemic understanding of inquiry-based instruction after mid-term demonstrations. The evidence demonstrated that the proportion of critiques specifically about inquiry-based instruction increased after the mid-term demonstrations. Moreover, the post mid-term critiques emphasized interaction between students as well as understanding of the nature of science. These findings could provide implication for teaching inquiry and criticizing others' instruction as part of elementary school science courses in preservice elementary teacher education.

  • Seokjeong LeeJeongzic(1841~1910) is a representing scholar in Honam Confucianism and master of three classes, caligography, painting. Seokjeong's calligraphy activities include not only creative activities, but academic activities as calligraphers and critics. Seokjeong uses Wang Hui-ji as an example of calligraphy. And if hard beauty is mastered truly and skillfully and skillfully, it reaches harmony level by itself and is Bugochangsin. Meanwhile, in "Geseokyoulsanglon5go8su" "Yeonseoksanbangmijeungsigo" there is a 5ungosi8su who criticizes Chinese calligrapheres. There are including WangHuij criticized their calligraphy by selecting 11 people in China. Also wrote reviews for "WonkyoJinjeok" "SonghaJinjeok" "ChangamSeocheub". And here, he made his own calligraphy theory by making calligraphy comments about calligraphy artists such as Wonkyo, Songha, Changam in Korea.

  • 본 논문에서는 사각 평면이 아닌 실린더나 구 형태의 비평면 스크린에 고품질 파노라마 영상을 렌더링 하기 위해 스틸 카메라를 이용한 자동 캘리브레이션과 멀티 프로젝터를 이용한 파노라마 렌더링 시스템을 제안한다. 스틸 카메라를 이용한 비평면 스크린 캘리브레이션은 특정 패턴을 스크린에 투사하고 이를 촬영하여 프로젝터의 투사 왜곡을 보정하고 멀티 프로젝터간의 중첩 영역에 대한 보정을 자동 수행한다. 캘리브레이션이 완료된 이후에 멀티 프로젝터를 이용하여 고품질의 파노라마 비디오를 렌더링 하기 위해서 본 논문에서는 복수의 멀티 시스템과 동기화 카드를 이용하여 렌더링 시스템간의 재생 동기화를 수행 하였다. 제안하는 렌더링 시스템을 적용하면 기존의 전문가의 수동작업에 의한 인력 및 보정 시간을 줄일 수 있으며, 시스템 환경이 변하더라도 쉽게 적응적으로 렌더링 환경을 구축하는 것이 가능하고 고품질의 파노라마 비디오를 렌더링 하는 것이 가능하다.

An Analysis of the Relationship between the Level of Elaboration Likelihood and the News Framing Effects (수용자의 인지정교화 가능성 수준이 프레이밍 효과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • Nevertheless reported the same events, news audience have diverse sense of sights and opinions about the events because of the different news frames. This notion was repeatedly evi nnced by several framing studies. This pa wa tried to analyse an interacting relationship between viewer’s level of elaboration likelihood and the effects of the news frames. This pa wa sfrrted with a discussion about the framing effects, then compared them with Elaboration Likelihood Ms notraming effely. And this study conducted an ex waiment selecting indivi ual dispngitions (involvement and cognitive complexity) and message characteristics(number of cues and arguments) as intermediating variables on the message framing effects. This study found out that, the more involvement about the issues the viewers had, the more their thoughts coincided with the issue's frame. On the other hand, when the viewers had low involvement about the issues and cognitive complexity, the framing effects were not found because they processed the messages through the peripheral route. Although the viewers' cognitive complexity was a factor in choosing the central route, but it was not directly connected to the framing effect. Both the number of cues and argument diversity in the messages had positive relationships with the framing effects.
