Structure-activity relationship studies of allylamine type of antimycotics were carried out to evaluate the effect of naphthyl and methyl portion of naftifine. Compounds with 3,4-difluorophenyl (2a-5a), 4-hydroxyphenyl (2b-5b), 3-nitrophenyl (2c-5c), 4-chlorobenzothiazoly (2d-5d) and 5-methylfurfural (2e-5e) instead of naphthyl group, and with hydrogen (3a-3e), methyl (4a-4e) and ethyl (5a-5e) in the place of methyl in naftifine were synthesized and tested for their in vitro anti-fungal activities against five different fungi. Fourteen compounds (3a, 4a, 5a, 3b, 4b, 5b, 3c, 4c, 5c, 3d, 4d, 3e, 4e and 5e) showed significant anti-fungal activities against T. mentagrophytes. (E)-N-(3-Phenyl-2-propenyl)-3,4-difluoro-benzenemethaneamine(3a), (E)_N_(3_phenyl_2_propenyl)_4_hydroxy_benzenemethaneamine(3b) and (E)-N-ethyl-N-(3-phenyl2-propenyl)-3-nitro-benzenemethaneamine (5c) displayed moderate anti-fungal activities against all five different fungi.
This study was conducted to investigate the effects of equilibration and dilution methods on the survival rate of vitrified IVM-IVF bovine blastocysts. Vitrification solution was composed with 20% glycerol, 20% ethylene glycol, 3/8 M sucrose and 3/8 M dextrose in D-PBS supplemented with 20% FBS (GESD). Embryos were equilibrated in 1 of 3 methods: 3-step (El), 2-step (E2), or 1-step (E3), and after loading into 0.25-ml straws, were plunged into liquid nitrogen. After warming in water bath at 2$0^{\circ}C$, cryoprotectants were diluted in 1 of 3 methods: 1) D1(VS+1/2 M sucrose, 1/2 M sucrose and l/4 M sucrose), 2) D2 (1/2 M sucrose and 1/4 M sucrose), or 3) D3(1/2 M sucrose only). All procedures except warming were conducted at room temperature. Survival and hatching rates of blastocysts and expanded blastocysts following equilibration methods were 50 and 83.6%, and 27.8 and 67.3%, respectively in El, which were significantly higher (P〈0.01) than those of E2 (16.7 and 23.2%, and 7.4 and 12.5%, respectively) and 23 (0 and 3.7%, and 0 and 0%, respectively). Survival and hatching rates of expanded blastocysts were significantly (P〈0.01) higher than those of blastocysts in El. Survival rates of blastocysts and expanded blastocysts following dilution methods were 52% and 80.6% in D2, which were significantly higher (P〈0.05) than those of D1 (29.6 and 48.3%) and D3 (47.2 and 63.8%). Hatching rates of blastocysts were similar in D1, D2 and D3, however in expanded blastocysts, that of D2(61.3%) was significantly higher (P〈0.01) than that of D1(34.5%). Survival rates of expanded blastocysts in D1 and D2, and hatching rates in D2 and D3 were significantly higher(P〈0.01) than those of blastocysts. These results indicate that the viability of vitrified blastocysts was improved by the several steps of equilibration, and by 2-steps dilution after warming, independently of their stage of development. The results also indicated that the expanded blastocysts are more profitable to vitrification than blastocysts.
Wear model for predicting the vehaviour of a depth is considered in this paper. It is deduced from the energy and volume based wear models such as the Archard equation and the workrate model. A new parameter of the equivalent depth ($D_e$= wear volume /worn area) is considered for the wear model of a depth prediction. A concenpt of a dissipated shear energy density is accommodated for in the suggested models. It is found that $D_e$ can distinguish the worn area shape. A cubic of $D_e$($D_e^3$) gives a better linear regression with the volume than that of the maximmum depth $D_{max}e$($D_{max}^3$) does. Both $D_{max}$ and $D_e$ are used for the presently suggested depth-based wear model. As a result, a wear depth profile can be simulated by a model using $D_{max}$. Wear resistance from the concern of an overall depth can be identified by the wear coefficient of the model using $D_e$.

Objectives : Diabetic nephropathy is one of the most significant chronic complications of diabetes. Advanced glycation end products (AGEs) have been implicated in the development of diabetic nephropathy. GS-E3D is an enzymatic modified red ginseng extract by pectin lyase and has an increased concentration of the ginsenoside Rd compared to an unmodified red ginseng extract. In this study, we evaluated the preventive effects of GS-E3D on renal dysfunction in the type 2 diabetic db/db mice. Methods : GS-E3D (100 or 250 mg/kg body weight per day) was given to db/db mice through oral gavage for 6 weeks. Body weight and blood glucose levels were examined. At the end of the experiment, albuminuria was measured. The renal tissues were collected for histological examination, and immunohistochemical staining was used to detect renal accumulation of AGEs and podocyte loss Results : In the db/db mice, severe hyperglycemia developed, and albuminuria was significantly increased. Diabetes induced markedly morphological alterations to the renal glomerular cells. AGE accumulations and podocyte loss were detected in renal glomeruli. No difference in blood glucose levels was noted between GS-E3D-treated and vehicletreated diabetic db/db mice. However, GS-E3D treatment significantly reduced albuminuria and AGE accumulations in diabetic mice. Moreover, the loss of podocytes was restored by GS-E3D treatment. Conclusions : GS-E3D might be beneficial for the treatment of diabetic nephropathy. The ability of GS-E3D on to attenuate albuminuria and podocyte dysfunction in the db/db mice may be mediated by the inhibition of AGE accumulation.
The relative Arrhenius parameters for t-butoxy radical decomposition (log $A_d$, $E_d$) and hydrogen abstraction of t-butoxy radical from hydrogen donor (log $A_d$, $E_d$) by competitive method were obtained as follows: for cyclohexane; log $A_a/A_d$ = -4.17 mole/l and $E_d-E_a$ = 9.01 kcal/mole, for isobutane; log $A_a/A_d$ = -5.70 mole/l and $E_e-E_a$= 11.0 kcal/mole. From the reported Arrhenius parameters for t-Butoxy radical decomposition reactions the parameters for t-Butoxy radical reactions with isobutane and cyclohexane are estimated to be log $A(l/mol{\cdot}sec)$ = 8.4, $E_a$ = 4.3 kcal/mol and $log A (l/mol{\cdot}sec)= 9.9,\;E_a$ = 6.3 kcal/mol, respectively.
Kochujangs (red pepper pastes) were mashed with the variation of seed content in the red pepper powder, i.e. none (plot A), 10%(B), 20%(C), 40 %(D) and 50%(E), and chemical compositions and qualities of the products were analysed and compared. Contents of amino nitrogen, reducing sugar and ethanol were high in the plot A and B, whereas lower levels were detected in the plot C, D and E. Differences in the contents of moisture, crude protein, crude fiber and sodium chloride were not significant among the plots, however, the plot D and E showed higher crude oil contents and pH as compared with the others. The plot B and A showed higher acidic protease and saccharogenic amylase activity as compared with the others. Taste, flavor and color were evaluated for the products which aged for 3 months, and better results were obtained in the plot A and B than in D and E. Especially the products of D and E were inferior in color.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was establishing process of manufacturing dental prosthesis by using eZIS system(DDS Inc.,Korea). Methods: To evaluate accuracy verification, the test was practiced two ways. First, Comparison of 3D printing models and stone models was practiced by using 3D superimposing software. #36 prepared master model was scanned by eZIS system and three 'Veltz3D' 3D printing models and three 'Bio3D' 3D printing models were manufactured. three stone models were manufactured by conventional impression technique. Second, Fitness test was practiced. the 3D printing models and the stone models was compared by manufacturing same resin crown. #36 prepared master model was scanned 9 times and manufactured (milled) 9 resin crowns by eZIS system. These crowns were cemented three 'Veltz3D' 3D printing models, three 'Bio3D' 3D printing models and three stone models. These crowns were sliced mesiodistal axis and gaps were measured by digital microscope. Results: The average accuracy of Bio3D models were 65.75%. Veltz3D(Hebsiba) models were 60.11% Stone models were 41.00%. Conclusion : This study results showed 3D printing model is similar with stone model. So it was under clinical allow, didn't affect final dental prothesis. There were no significant differences in the appearance of the three types of milling crowns.
In this paper, we propose sharing 3D media between multisite using enhanced Access Grid (e-AG) which is a composition of 3D display and Access Grld (AG) Conventional AG and other collaborative systems have a limitation to share immersive 3D media Thus, proposed system supports sharing 3D media contents in a AG meeting section. Real object can be shared by acquiring stereo image with pre-calibrated stereo camera and by delivering, and virtual object can be shared by transmitting state information after downloading 3D model. And also, real video scene acquired by stereo camera and virtual object from 3D model can be displayed on the 3D display system of each node adaptively. The characteristics of proposed sharing method are sharing 3D media, displaying 3D media on a system adaptively, supporting real-time interaction. The proposed sharing method will be used remote lecture, remote collaboration with 3D media.

Background : No association between schizophrenia and dopamine D4 receptor polymorphisms have been reported. Despite these results, it is premature to exclude the association. It has been suggested that the susceptibility to develop schizophrenia could result from variation at a number loci which may interact or coact with each other. Therefore, we investigated a possible association of combinations of exon III 48bp polymorphism[D4E3] and exon I 12bp polymorphism of the DRD4 gene [D4E1] with schizophrenia. Methods : 207 unrelated Korean schizophrenic patients and 191 healthy controls were recruited. DRD4 genotype was established using the polymerase chain reaction. Statistical analysis consisted of ${\chi}^2$ tests for Hardy-Weinberg proportions and genotypic and allelic frequencies in the patients and control groups. Results : There were no statistically significant differences in the each polymorphisms between schizophrenics and controls. And all genotype frequencies were within Hardy-Weinberg expectations. When the combinations of the polymorphism in schizophrenia and controls were compared, however, there were significant differences at $A1A2^*2/4$ in the distributions of the combinations of D4E1 and D4E3(p<0.01). Conclusions : These findings suggest that the certain combination of D4E1 and D4E3($A1A2^*2/4$) has the protective role to a susceptibility for schizophrenia.
With the remarkable progression of network and the sophistication of contents, we now see various ways of communication methods in World Wide Web. In such trend, 3D web deserves our attention, which is applied for various areas such as education, game, chatting, e-commerce. Among those, by using 3D contents, e-commerce, especially the customized e-commerce, can give users more rich information about products. However, most of current 3D e-commerce sites are adopting a mere tool-based methods without considering contents and interaction required for the customized e-commerce. So, this paper proposes the direction of developing 3D interaction program for the customized e-commerce, based on a study on the required information elements about products and the interaction of controlling those factors. The evaluation to compare with the existing program is follows by the development of practical program, to give more persuasive reasons on the advantages of 3D e-commerce program.
